Request a theme :)

If you guys have any themes you would like to see go ahead and request them and I will see what I can do.

Id like to see a black and blue teme. I kno there typical but blue is pretty damn nice. The galaxy series blue is little to light for my liking. Pretty much turn everything that's blue and green (Highlights,check marks, etc.) to like a royal blue. Also with a transparent staus bar and an EVO like status bar theme.(battery, signal, etc). Maybe kinda of a big request but its worth a shot.

Shouldn't be too hard, you want the stock evo icons? What type of launcher are you looking for?

If you can get me this theme on my epic 4g that would be awesome, I used to have it on my vibrant and honestly is all Im missing on.

and then it looks like some kind of half-assed version for the Vibrant here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=779628 (no offense to vibrant themer.. just assuming?)
Either way it looks like its taken a lot of people a lot of time and still never really been done perfectly.. it'd be great to see it on the Epic, though!

Once I get a v0.1 of Hugo87's request out there I will start working on an elegant steel port. Thanks for the reference links btw.

Omg im so aimed i can't wait. Pull that off and you got a nice donation coming

Can you do a red, black, and white theme? I'm a huge Nebraska fan so whatever you can do as long as it isn't over the top. It doesn't have to have anything about Nebraska on it as long as the colors are right.

While in the process of making hugo87's request I came across some pretty bad news.....

So as of right now a transparent status bar is out of the question.
Hugo, any other kind of status bar you are looking for possibly a royal blue one?

It is what it is man. I just appreciate your taking the time to do it. If it can't be transparent than black would be fine. I noticed the blue minimilism theme status bar is gray when not pulled down. than when its pulled down it like a textured gray color if that makes sense. If you could make the status bar transparent when its not pulled down and blue when it is if that makes sense. Let me knew if I confused you. Thanks!
Edit: Hope the dev doesn't mind me borrowing this but its grey where signal, battery ( what I want transparent) and like a textured gray on the bottom of the the pull down tray( would want blue if possible like your screen shot a few posts above). Hope this makes a little more sense.

Yea I don't really have an ETA but will try for sure.

Saw this (MattedBlues Theme - CM 6.0) on the EVO Theme & App, looks really nice. Can this be ported to our EPIC running either AOSP Magic ROM or Andromeda ROM?

Theft, theft, theft. As far as I know everyone here uses eachothers work to create something new. Its quite normal on XDA, the mistake made here was that he should have given you some credit for your work. I agree with you untill that point. And im using simply galaxy and this music player fits way better with my theme than your crysis themed one. So it is useful and original in the way that is differentiates itself from other themes..

agreed man, but he should've asked me, as many others did, and give the credits. I never said no to someone when used my battery and so on... but I encourage inspiration, he should put his head at contribution and do something original. Many apps you see "themed" today, are getting just an color change and that's it. Nothing deep....

Come on man, he took 2 pngs. I had a case that one user took half of my theme (much much more pngs), and the other half was from 5 other themes and only who didn't get credit was me. It is not nice, but also there were a lot of people that used his theme and that is what is important, to please more people.

yes man, you have your right, I have seen your work and I respect you for that. But isn;t bothering when you work weeks for something, brick your phones and flash it over and over again, and when you hae done all the work, some guy sees a little spot missed by you, he fixes and gets all the credit.
XDA should be about innovation, not reinventing the wheel... I think you must agree with that! With no innovation.... nothing new... just changing some colors...

I respect your work too! ofcourse i do. But don't react like that. Ok, i forgot to give you the credits in the first post. So i added them. And it's not only changing some colors. I just help the guy who is responsible for the valle-mod theme. I'm no developer or something. And i don't have as much knowledge about photoshop like you. But at least i try to make something, that matches the valle-mod theme. And make people happy with my work. That's what this is about. And i don't want to ''steal'' something from you. Yes, I agree. I was mad, but I kept it to myself. Once I sent a PM to user who also had a lot of my pngs in his theme, but that was it. I know that it is really good to do something all new, but this user took only 2 pngs from your theme. After all, some people liked my theme just with battery icons changed (also done by some other user) and I respect that because I can't please everyone with one theme. Hope you understand, I do understand you and he should give you credit for that.

sorry man for that erruption, but I had a rough day and I just got too mad on you without a real reason. Went for a walk and now I'm relaxed and I see things from another point of view

saw a distinct likeness with the old textures from tayutama's early eclair/froyo theme in a fairly recent theme *whistle* kinda missed those good to see em put to use once again

I'm really not sure which phone it is. I just did a Google search for Samsung when i first signed up on XDA for a quick icon and never changed it.

Allot of nice elements but as a whole its quite ... "busy"

I guess everyone is entitled to an opinion. I'm just a big cyan fan, and this theme has all the menus and everything else in black and cyan. I have pieced some of the apk's on my phone but once you start mixing several themes together with the rom, it seems I start having problems with my phone. I know a lot of you are not going to like but some people will. I myself, really like it a lot. I have looked at Impaler's guide to making themes, but I guess I must not be to smart when dealing with this stuff.
Just one thing though, if you don't like it, please just move along and don't respond. I'm sure they have spent plenty of time making the theme, just as every developer does on here with the projects they are working on. The maker of the theme told me I could request someone to port it if they were interested, so I thought I would give it a shot.

Im big cyan fan too,check out my CosmicBlue theme that im gonna post today that consist of blue and cyan colors.

But im all for it being ported.. the more themes the better

Gotta hit up "Dreams" to take a look at this. He's into this kinda stuff. Does look different, but I like it to. To anyone else who likes this, you gotta check out "Dream's" H.R. Giger theme. Kinda along the same lines and EXTREMELY detailed!

I second that. These guys put a LOT of time and energy into making this stuff for us. Very rarely do they even ask for a donation, even though it is very deserved. So next time, maybe you could just say "thanks, but it really isn't for me". And if the dev responds, u could point out what u did'nt care for, simple as that. Your comments are appreciated as long as they are "constructive". "Yuck" is no more childish than it is "constructive". Please take your negativity elsewhere......

For those of you that were interested in this theme, it should be released sometime very soon. vlatinlove is the one who is porting this theme and I appreciate all of his hard work. Here are a few screenshots of what he sent me a couple of weeks ago after I installed it on my phone. He has made some changes in the notification area icons and themed a few more parts. Can't wait to see what the final looks like. Thanks again for all of your hard work vlatinlove, love how this looks on my phone.

I'll never forget

haha now this is a proper section to ask my queries i'm from the galaxy sl i9003 forum ! and since it wasnt a flagship of samsung we seriously faced problems with kernel sources ,roms ources etc etc...and it used to lag like any crap! about 50 hours of uptime and stuck...like a brick and had to pul out the battery ! i've done a lot of reading bout the gnexus and will be getting it in 2 days ! so what i'd like to kno is.. .. do any of ull regret buying it ? (i highly doubt it ) and anything i should know before buying it ? how do i distinguish betwwen the LTE version and the GSM version ?

GSM =international version.GSM galaxy nexus is with 16 GB internal memory
LTE = its CDMA. 4G only available for few countries .and CDMA version galaxy nexus has 32 GB internal memory.
You stay in india right ? you have to get GSM version .

have anyone try to change 16Gb with 32Gb like in this thread if possible ?

So I have one question 2 u guys: Why does every1 just want black/dark themes?? I would loove to see a light theme! With white/light settings background and stuff. I just think light interfaces look way cooler To have everything so dark is kinda... depressing Just wanna hear your opinion on that.

Believe it or not having light text on dark back ground saves battery so people do it to help their batteries I guess, I think the higher contrast looks better too. You could try a miui ROM I bet that would be to your taste if you like bright stuff

I know MIUI, not so my thing... It's not just ROM themes, it's also sigs and stuff. Everyone wants that I make it black and I just don't get it

The other option is cm10 has the theme chooser, i don't know what the selection of themes is like as not used any cm10 rom

I tried many of them but there was always sth not good with it Now using BOSS Theme. It's not that light, but it looks amazing

The chromium theme in the Themes and Apps section of the GNex forums here is exactly what you're looking for.

TWIZ/CM9/CM10/CM10.1 Themes [2/22/2013]

I am taking requests for CM9, CM10, and CM10.1 Themes. Don't know what colors you like put together? Check out ColourLovers
Leave your requests below using as much detail as possible and I will get to them in a timely manner. Please note I have a son, a company to run, and a wife with bills so these may take some time. I am still learning how to create theme chooser themes / edit the android theme source. This thread is just so I can get themes out once I have completed my training on my own phones.
EXAMPLES
I would like a theme that looks like "this theme," here is the link to the image. I would like it to be easier on the eyes.
Style: Minimalistic
Colors: Light Blue, Dark Grey, White.
Hex Colors: #0FF00, #333333, #FFFFFF.

Been pretty busy with work/school and being a fulltime father and husband. I am still learning about how to theme properly on android and am learning how to create flashable zips as well to flash themes over system files.

Been very busy my son has been very sick and selling my old company has been an adventure lol Now I am freeing more time up.
I am starting development for GOSMS and GOLauncher for now. Sorry but haven't had a lot of time to learn the theming for touchwiz or cm9+.

Hope you are all doing well, I have recently sold my company and started a new project, for those of you who are independent musicians and entertainers you can PM me for more information because you have nothing to lose and the project produces highly-rated results
Anyways, I've gotten pretty far in themes but almost bricked my phone, I have to go back and relearn what I missed I've been working with Kevin on the themes on and off while we developer our video game for multi-device support, it is called Relapse: Awakening and recently won the OUYA Developer Kit Contest at OUYA Forum (sorry if this is spam).
I've been very busy and have been taking my time between work, school, and family time. Things are looking up and I have a few GO SMS and GO Launcher themes almost completed to hold you guys over for now SOON!

Nice dude! Um would be nice to have a mixture is colors one would not mix like dark colors and very bright ones. I like the brown and the light blue.

How bout an Anonymous theme? I'm thinkin minimalistic black & white maybe a little neon green or dark blue thrown in?? I've got some icons I made already and some wallpapers plus I got photoshop for whatever else so lemme know whatcha think

I could do a multi-colored version series for the anonymous themes. Let me come up with some ideas and get things laid out
Basically you can choose from various colors of the theme. A mixture of colors as well could be nice. I have to check out some cool ways to do this while I'm learning.
Anyone suggest offering these themes for launchers?

For anonymous.
Black and white (normal version)
Black and white, with red,green or blue accents.
Personal favorite black an red.

I'm working on some moar icons as we speak, if u want lemme know what color codes u wanna use and ill add accordingly so they'll match teh theme, gimme a day or two and ill post em on here that way we can get er'yones feedback on em

BTW you are wrong bout greatest natural resource, that would be wheat or salt. Which has stabilized civilizations over thousands of years and still to this day.
And watch the language before i get one of my fellow mods in here.

Now now don't get too off topic
Touch Wiz theme would be pretty easy. Or you can just get the touchwiz launcher apk from somewhere I'm sure. I have to learn how to remove files and such and then port it over. Might just make a modified touchwiz that is much more sleek.
