Can't we take some fixes (Bluetooth, Wifi and so on...) from their build or from CM9 ?

Legend is ARMv6 too .. they say they have : 24) Hw Acceleration (Stock Gallery, Live Wallpapers, Video, Youtube, Google Maps App, etc.). Could that be made for the hero also or Legend has GPU ?

I'm sorry but it is not ARMv6. It is ARM11.
Specs as per gsmarena:
Chipset Qualcomm MSM7227
CPU 600 MHz ARM 11
GPU Adreno 200
So, no! HW accel is running for them because they have the hacked drivers from Qualcomm which are released and working only with Adreno200. We have Adreno160. No HW accel!

I posted it only to mention everybodys attention on camera,we already have video and panoramic mode working on armv6(ARM 11 is armv6),also HTC wildfire(not S) has working video and panormic mode too,its MSM 7225,vfp but without GPU

And what about Bluetooth, Wifi and others tweaks ?

nope, their bt and wifi fixes most likely wont help you guys. other tweaks they uses (as long as they pertain to fixes that are universal across phones) could possibly be used though, such as build.prop entries, etc.
also im downloading that legend rom right now to see if i cant get it working for heroc, if it works for heroc then it will most likely work for hero gsm.

I tried to get camcorder working on our camera driver, but it crashed whenever I tried to record something. I don't think that the problem lies in tha camera. It's rather the same reason that YouTube doesn't work and so on.

The problem is not cpu but gpu!

Then how is it working on wildfire,which has NO GPU?

i thought there were 2 different wildfires, one with gpu and one sans gpu? wildfire s has adreno 200, and im not sure about the regular one.
by the way, did anyone seem to notice that buzz has working youtube? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1473344
im pretty sure the buzz is the wildfire without gpu, i downloaded the rom and upon initial glance see nothing to do with adreno 200

hero/heroc flashable zip added, go ahead and flash it (after nandroid backup if your worried about losing anything) and see if it works for you
youtube apk is not in this zip, so install it from market
also gles from buzz is included, im not sure if it will work with our hacked up 1.1 gles, ill see about that and get back to you guys

Chainfire 3D settings for Dungeon Defenders

Anyone managed to get DDFW running on their SGS2 ?
I have tried all 3 plugins for chainfire and a bunch of settings but cannot get it run past the loading screen,
any luck anyone?
The thread title is extremely misleading. You could at least have used a question mark to signal that this thread doesn't contain the CF3D settings for DD even though that's what the title suggests.

Agreed .... and Dungeon Defender is working fine with default settings ..
It does freeze for a second now and again but its perfectly ok to play ..

I haven't been able to get it to work either. It goes through the demo, so I presume it isn't GPU related, but as soon as you touch the screen to control a character - app closes.
any tip to make it work?
It doesn't work for the moment, only getting in the menu of the game, when you try to play it shuts down ^^ already asked around, chainfire is busy making autoshader fixes etc

Yes it is a gpu problem. not so much an issue as in ur gpu is too slow, the issue is ur gpu to dungeon defenders doesnt exist.
Reason: mali-400 gpu in the sgs2 is a bloody fast but ultra cheap gpu found mainly in generic devices ( i think, correct me if im wrong) , the only branded device with a mali gpu is the sgs2. there's the issue. devs dont develope for generic chipsets:not enough users and there isn't any real incentive to develope for the mali 400 because most devs have gone to the tegra2 gpu.
Solution: i dont know if this will work since i dont have a sgs2 but this should work. On chainfire pro use the tegra 2(nvidia) plugin which will use the cpu to emulate the tegra 2 gpu and should hypothetically work. However, the tegra 2 is a pretty fast gpu so the tegra 2 plugin may lead to low frame rates so i would try the tegra 2 plugin. if its too slow use the qualcomm or powervr plugin

This is already set by default in many custom ROMs but alsoeans you can't see pictures on apps like XDA

Actually...I did regret it, as I can't see any pics in XDA and in
my Sopcast, the stream is very "choppy" and with worst
color quality. So......Sorry.
Even in custom Roms, the first thing I do is uncheck the "Force GPU..."

Thank you. Every one thinks it will break things. It is like saying I have a Land Rover with 4v4. Now, you're going up a hill and to run it up, you buy newer and better wheels. It still gets up, but slower. It would be a lot smarter to enable 4v4 so it can climb faster and more efficient. So GPU is supposed to run the Graphics Interface. Not the Processing Unit. Does it make sense? Of course not. Using GPU for its dedicated reason it is a way more reasonable thought. So why would you want it disabled?

I'm not sure why everyone is jumping on the OP so hard.. he stated clearly in the second or third post that it Works without breaking anything .. I flashed it on my AOKP JB build with no problems and it didn't break anything like the option in development settings does... for example .. xda app loads pictures perfectly.
Maybe test it next time before flaming give it a test...

OK.. then riddle me this.. Using the option in development settings breaks my XDA and my FRF app, meaning they wont load pictures in the app.. However this mod has not caused this side effect..

According to pocket now force gpu rendering is basically used to off load the graphical tasks given to the CPU in apps that aren't optimized for ICS. ICS has this option enabled by default when writing apps for it but with apps written on GB down to cupcake 1.6, gpu rendering when writing apps is off by default.
Basically, leave it on as its probably helping your CPU run older unoptimized apps more efficiently since it doesn't have to process the graphical UI for that app too.

YES newer applications that are based on the newer SDK have the ability to do this Nativity regardless of what you have checked or unchecked..
BUT it is not ONLY going to be beneficial for apps that are not.. it will force ALL rendering through your GPU and leaving the computation to the CPU giving your system an edge.. while be it a small one, but never the less an edge as far as CPU processing times and Graphics quality output ..

Flashed it a few hours ago, seems pretty solid so far. At least it certainly hasn't given me any problems with games or other apps. It's almost weird seeing pictures load on the XDA app btw, because it's been a long time since I've seen them work... lol. Running it on CM9.1.

yes you can test it but before that you will need to edit the egl.cfg config:
from 0 1 adreno200
to 0 1 adreno205
notice that:CWM 4/5/6 doesn't matter!

egl.cfg in /system/lib/egl should be 0 1 adreno200!

This tweak won't improve performance, battery life and anything other. It does nothing because Android always tries to use h/w accelerated EGL libs, and if something goes wrong, then it falls back to software libs (b2r2)
After applying this tweak, android will select h/w accelerated libs, it's true... But before applying it, Android also was selecting h/w libs. The only thing that would change after applying is the software renderer used as fallback will be broken, and your device will crash in some rare cases when it's necessary.
I don't recommend using it. If someone don't believe me, go and study android source code, especially libsurfaceflinger.
BTW. I lol'd after reading that it will improve sound quality... EGL has nothing to do with sound. NOTHING.
BTW2. If the "tweak" really works, tell me why Google - creator of Android, who know everything about Android, why they don't use this tweak on Nexus devices?

-about effects of this tweak go and see people's reports with this patch on other devices forum which has adreno200 as a GPU,and before applying this patch android was using software libs before with a higher propriety than H/W accelerated ones!
-Google doesn't use a lot of optimizations on their nexus devices not even this one(you want an example,with the galaxy nexus they use GPU at @308Mhz instead of 384Mhz which is the default one on Ti-Omap 4460 chips).
-"I lol'd after reading that it will improve sound quality... EGL has nothing to do with sound. NOTHING.",improving sound quality is already reported by thousands of people using this patch with their adreno200 powered devices(they are a lot of devices with adreno200).

[Q] Why CM ROMs lose 3D performance?

i have an question, all CM roms than i test in my P935 lose big number of FPS(frames p second) in the games and in the benchmarks!? even using a kernel with overclock GPU i dont have a good performance...

I would like to know this too.
Have you tested the difference with installing the newer adreno drivers? Search for them. I forget why I installed them, it was a stability issue.

The newest adreno drivers only prevent to some applications to randomly crash (like facebook). I also want to know why te bad 3D performance even using wind kernel.

I've a OnePlus 3 Device.. When I Play Pubg in Med Settings.. it Lags like hell and i turned to Low Preset Still The same any solutions???
There was same problem with me too...
1. Make sure upgrade to v0.4.0.
2. If problem still continues use Elementalx kernel and overclock cpus and also turn on GPU boost to high.
Though regardless to say play on Europe server?
I play with framerate set to HIGH and BALANCED and it runs smooth most of the time.....

i'm on latest OOS beta with Derp kernel, no lag what so ever on PUBG , just played it for the 1st time last night, on HD and medium fps (and one mission on high), no lags what so evert, but here's heating normal and expected with this type of games, but didn't effect the game play.
it'll hit the battery though , i went from 92% to 20% in 70 mins of continues playing on high settings. also make sure if you're on OOS to add it to game do not disturb mode, it helps.
i do have same problem on open beta, ill try to flash costum kernel...hope they fix this on next update...

Sorry to say but it will lag in anyway
Coz it is powered by Snapdragon 820 which just sucks in gaming , not becoz of GPU (Andreno 530 is good enough) but becoz of low cores count and thermel throttle ?
And PUBG mostly depends on multicore performance of the processor, in which sd820 littrely sucks (820=450 in multicore performance)
Snapdragon 660 is much better choice for gaming it's much stable than 820/821
Someone said to me to use GFX Tool on play store and enable the vulkan and see the changes. He said it was lagging but after enable the vulkan it turns out pretty smooth after but pretty much drains the battery.

Graphics : Balanced

I dont know, it was smooth here currently on Nougat Zenity RR. But I do also face the lag when I'm using Unofficial RR Luis and I even overclocked the cpu, but it was smooth on OOS with stock kernel and MSM Xtended so far before. That recommendation to enable vulkan was from someone I haven't test it yet since I dont face the lag right now. Sorry can't help much, I also did not understand much why.

Not true , as mentioned on another post above, I also use the latest oos beta ROM, with derp kernel 4.4 , nonlags what so ever , not even a little ...
I've been playing pubg for a month now , and with the above setup I had no lags... I even use maple I/O sched , which by nature may cause some lag and despite that it doesn't.
onePlus stock kernel specially on beta may have issues from time to time, and a lot of cutom kernels for cutom ROMs are configured more toward battery life...
For stock rom use either derp or blu_spark, they will work out of the box without issues, Blu have more heating though on my experience.
For custom ROMs you'll need to ask the kernel dev what settings anss scheds to use ...I'd imagine flash kernel will be ok right out of the box but will not be as battery friendly as the others .

Guys if you want to game dont do it on a mobile device. Let alone a cheap China device with high failure rates on hardware.
Could anyone suggest a ROM / Kernel that is tried and tested to not lag on OnePlus 3T? I am currently using a different phone just to play the game and I really wish to move back to my phone ... Any method that is tried and tested to function properly with no lags on the current PubG update would be really appreciated

You will be hard pressed to find a combo that works. You will most likely need to build a rom made for it as most roms are not made for gaming which to be honest is a sad state on mobile device.

Try msm extended pie and aosp extended pie both with stock kernel runs pubg smooth with hd - high fps
Well i'm baffled with you guys, i ran it just fine, i even downclocked it to 1 & 1,5 Ghz (lil&big). My configs: Omnirom and the included kernel (holydragon) downclocked, display driver updated to V313 (look for adreno driver in mi mix forum) use rev15 as it is less glitchy and even has tangible score boost almost 6000 gain in antutu GPU section. And that's it, HD and High setting acquired, i even get extreme setting when i first install the driver, but somehow it disappears lol. If you want to run it even better, use old gfxtool to old pubg apk, run and then update the pubg, immediately uninstall the gfxtool to avoid ban by the new pubg detection for gfxtool. Sorry too long.

Can you share the rev15 zip of those drivers? I went to that thread and all the dev has right now i rev22 or rev21.
