Anyone can make an app for record video in HD (720p) or dvd quality widescreen? i think the hardware it's ok! it will be fantastic!!
I think you dont just need an app but a proper driver for the cam if its even possible.
Thought that Defy already is recording in 720, isn't it ??
no, now only 640*480! i hope it will upgraded from a mighty android-man!

isn't that with Skype. Nothing but integrated app software. The my touch 4g had it with qik video calling integration. If I recall it wasn't that great. Just download the app. Which is most likely better than the software integration.

the stock Tmo ROM came with Qik installed for video calling, but it's not integrated into the Dial Pad as the international SGS

Google Talk with Video http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1337339
Hi guys,
Is it possible to flash a version of Talk with video support for the WFS? Or can our little phone not support it?
Even if Talk with video support runs on the WFS it will be of no use........you would need a front camera for video calling and there is not an application that allows you to use the back camera for video chatting(Certainly would want it )
Long story short..........It's no use
Apparently, Yahoo Messenger with Yahoo Video chat plugin works (Uses Mic+Camera from the back) (About 28mb in total Alot of storage memory....) , Skype also works with mic and camera from the back
(Less storage)...

I think these work because of flash player. Edit: I was wrong they somehow work without flash...

I use Skype and there is no such option........ mind elaborating what you're saying @XDA_h3n
i have tried them all....trust me when i say...QIK VIDEO is the only one that runs smooth, without any lag and no frame droping....i used it over hspa and wifi...same quality...mind that you may have to search the net for right version(older one) if the one from market does not work well.

HIT THANKS IF I HELPED.
SALUTE!!!
I'm using a Xperia S. I've tried many of the popular call recording apps in the market. But all of them mainly records my voice (what I'm speaking to mic). Other party's voice can be hardly heard.
Is there any other effective app for recording both parties voices clearly?
Always post queries in Q/A section!
The stock GB/ICS kernel does not support two way voice recording while the JB kernel does.
Wait for official update then the app will work.
The only way to record now is using loudspeakers.

Does anyone know how to make a normal video call on this device???
I'm curious about this too. Is it possible to make video call on the 3G network?
Why would they put a front camera, if video calling is not possible?
Dude.. It's not possible for a long time. You know why? Because nobody uses it. 3G video calling sucks.
Why bother when Skype or better Google Hangouts offer this. There are many popular video calling apps. These were just 2.
Android does not have 3G video enabled by default. It does not exist in the code and no manufacturer bothers with this.
Just find out what your friends are using.. Or convert them to hangouts because it's simple to use.
