Hey guys...
so recently i deciced togo back to the g2 stock hboot from the Eng doubleshot one to flash the pc10img.zip for unroot...
heres the problem i mistakenly flashed the desire z hboot on the G2 and now the phone wouldnt turn on im stuck...the charging organge thing comes on when i charge it but thats pretty much it....
i followed the first part of this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=999796
when i should have followed the second page for the G2....
Any help plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz im freaking out here i.....the phone was rooted
so you have (originaly) a mt4gslide or dz or g2. what hboot did you then install? what hboot did you mistakenly go to, what one were you trying to go to
can you boot into hboot?
can you get anything when powering on?
if you answer to the last 2 questions is no then only jtag will help, if yes then there is still a chance you can fix it easily

No my firend it dosent turn on and i cant go to recovery nor hboot. I mistakenly flashed the Desire z hboot on it.all i can do is charge it and it...and the orange light come on..
PS: whos jtag
jtag is a way to force the os, bootloader etc onto your phone. to do this you need to have the proper adapter to go to your computer and your phone, which you would also need to know the points on your motherboard to connect the jtag adapter (these have to be temporaraly soldered in place. then you need a program to communicate between pc and phone and of course the software.
usualy only a select few places have the ability to jtag a phone, rarley is this done by the doityourselfer. you can look for some one to do this for you but the cost probably will outway the cost of selling your phone for parts and buying a new one
sorry for the bad news, good luck!

I'm going to try the JTAG person on Ebay in the USA.
I will send 2 HTC Desire Z, one that doesn't even load and one that can only start up in recovery and has probably a broken emmc chip.

Can you get to the fastboot screen?
If so, you should be able to flash a stock RUU on your device?
What HBOOT does it have?
0.83 ya i can go there but doesnt do anything
If you can find a stock RUU for Telus you could boot to fastboot, connect your device to your computer and run the RUU from your computer.
In theory this should flash your device back to how it was before you rooted.
wow i cant believe no1 in desire forum is helpful. i shouldnt of sold me x10
You have just gotten all the help you need? Go get a ruu from here and install through usb with phone in fastboot.

Sorry mate. I have tried to help as much as I can but I am not familiar with the telus procedure or any branding at all actually.
Sent from my Amiga 500 using Workbench
Here download this RUU. http://shipped-roms.com/download.php?category=android&model=Bravo&file=RUU_Bravo_Telstra_WWE_1.15.841.14_R4_Radio_32.30.00.28U_4.05.00.11_123851.exe
Put your phone into fastboot mode and run the RUU see if that sorts you out.
im with telus though with slcd
Oh right didn't know. I don't know how to tell between. Looks like your phone could be dead :/
First off, Yes I have searched more than this site for an answer to the point where my handset would not do anything but go into the recovery menu.
What I want to do is put stock HTC Android on my Desire.
Currently it is rooted but has to be un rooted to go onto works E Mail server.
The handset is a GSM HTC Desire (Bravo)
BRAVO PVT1 SHIP 2-ON
HBOOT-093.0001
CLOCKWORKMOD RECOVERY v2.5.0.7
I have tried several RUU's only to be told of a boot loader error.
Can some one please tell me how this is done?
I asked my network and they could not help so unless some one can help me im going to have to ask HTC.
THANKS in advance
RICK
Hi,
Is your phone branded?
If so to get it to stock u need your operator´s RUU, or a gold card to run the HTC one.
not branded try the last WWE launched to Europe u can find it here : http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph...00.32U_5.09.05.30_2_release_142828_signed.exe
Wrong forum, it should go in Q&A
1. Wrong forum... You even mark your title as a question. Then why not put it in the question section, as it is clearly not development?
2. You problem is, that you have to choose a ruu with hboot version 0.93 or above(as for now i think 0.93 is highest). You cannot downgrade hboot officially! So chose the latest one released, and if your phone is branded, you need to be lucky and find the branded rom or you'll have to use a goldcard.
3. Being able to log onto your firms email server has nothing to do with rooting i promise you. There is no difference in the way it would log on. That is only managed by the app you use to log on. Unrooting will only make fixing the actual problem much more difficult, as you cannot change a thing on the system.

I would be inclined to agree with both points. Rooting will do nothing to affect your phones ability to log on to an e-mail server, the server doesn't collect any information about your phone and refuse it on the basis that it has, essentially, an 'app' called Superuser installed.

Hello,
i flashed my hboot back from ogxygen to default hboot, after
reboot i just saw a black screen. The leds are blinking green and orange if i put out the battery and if i insert it, the leds are orange.
If i start the desire the leds are not showing something and its still blackscreen. How i can repair it? =(
sry for bad english
i'm no expert but have you tried going in to the Bootload menu (power off phone, hold down the back button and power on holding both button down unlit phone starts up)?
Then if you can get in to the Bootloader screen you can then try to go to Recovery option or flash from your PC using ADB.
Have you made a NAND back up before you flashed your Hboot?
Yes i already did, but always blackscreen not vibrating or something like that
no i dont have a nand backup, why i need 1? someone could give me a link?
or make a backup and upload it?
if you connect phone to pc , is it recognized by PC?
if yes try to run an official RUU from shipped roms.

It is a bit late but check the md5 of the hboot you flashed, if it does not match I think you are pretty screwed otherwise it probably is still fixable.
how i can fix? damned thats my dads desire he will kill me :/
i don't think you can, you have to take it back for repair.
or you can find someone with jtagbox.http://www.jtagbox.com/jtag-news/riff-jtag-htc-desire-unlock-unbrick-imei-repair-supported/
will they repair my desire if i send it back? cause its flashed
It depends on how much they can see from it.

ähm... what they will do after repair when they see thats my desire is flashed?
If they find out that it was a rooted desire or that you caused the fault, they are happy to repair it but they will charge you big time. Somewhere around here someone named 200 euro i think. But you might get lucky and they repair it cost free, has also happened before.
What you have is the slcd desire brick. Follow the thread in my signature with the ruu for your region- how to unroot the desire.

push, what i must write to htc and can i use jtagsoftware without box`?
and how i can root my radio`?
Good afternoon:
Recently my sister in law gave me his Desire so I could take a look at it.
She says the phone started to freeze a lot and random reboots. Then the phone won't switch on at all, when it did it showed a white screen (I suspect she talks about the bootloader one). Next the phone never booted again, showing the htc screen with four exclamation triangles in the corners.
She is not an experienced user at all, the phone is a Vodafone one, unlocked.
It had the latest Vodafone stock rom installed. The phone doesn't have root, S-OFF or a gold card.
I tried to flash it with the latest Vodafone UK ruu and the gingerbread one from Shipped Roms and it fails with an error 152.
If I flash those roms with fastboot I get a FAILED (remote: 51 partition update fail).
Both methods give me a RADIO_V2 - Fail-PU.
We can't send the phone to HTC because the company doesn't even exist in Argentina. Also the phone its from Spain, so we have no warranty at all.
Is there any hope?. I've tried searching the web but I had no luck.
Thanks in advance.
Whipon.
It's a radio brick. Contact HTC for warranty repair is the usual response....

Thanks man. If it supports latest boot loader, perhaps we have another chance.
@stumpyz9: Don't worry, phone is not under warranty, and we don't have any HTC service in Argentina ^^.

I enjoy doing this type of job, so it will be fun.
Well you can't s-off because it doesn't boot. The only fix would be HTC.
You could try flashing a RUU from fastboot....

Flashing from fastboot gives me a remote error: FAILED (remote: 51 partition update fail).
As I said we have no HTC repair service in Argentina.
All I can do is triying to fix it through the computer or throw it away u_u.
Can't I erase the radio and reflash it?. Do I need S-OFF to do that?.
can u flash a recovery
yah s-off would be required, but thats kind of impossible, and if your gunna throw it away you could always send it to me lol, i love to take **** apart

I know you have no HTC. But that is only option.
Throw it in the bin or sell for spares maybe then. You can't fix broken device without s-off, you can't s-off without working device.
Even if s-off, fix is very unlikely. HTC swap out the mother board when this happens, so nothing you can do

lol
You will laugh a lot when you know how I fixed it.
I had another Desire with its digitizer cracked. It was from a friend who dropped it.
I just swapped the motherboards.
The dissasembly and assembly videos in Youtube were very usefull .
It was a lot of fun.
Thank you very much for all your help .
A good question
Wait a minute, how she can prevent this from happening again?.
She just was using his phone as a normal user. The phone was plain stock.
Excellent.
Well you can't prevent it if she didn't.do anything to cause it. It was probably destined to go faulty from the start

Should I S-OFF the "new" phone?. New motherboard is from an almost new phone.
Just in case this issue appears again in the future.
Hey people
I recently got a HTC Desire from ebay, and there was no rom on it - it was just stuck at the splash screen. The bootloader was working, so I just thought a reflash would do the trick. I therefore downloaded a few RUU's and was trying them out only to find that none of them worked, not even the 2.3 update. After some frantic googling, I discovered that the phone was branded to vodafone, so I tried to RUU that one, and now my phone is stuck at the black HTC logo with the four exclamation marks at the edges. I can't S-OFF or even make a goldcard, since I don't actually have a ROM on the phone. What have I done? I might of corrupted the radio by the sounds of it, but I'm really hoping I haven't.My phone won't go into the bootloader anymore, and I don't know what to do. Could someone help me?
Go read bortaks guide, first post in Desire Q&A (stickies) and go down to number [4]
Sent from my HTC Desire
I have tried that. I have not been able to make a goldcard - none of the sdcards I have are working. I did try searching and reading around before I posted
Have u got another phone, r can u borrow 1? u can put ur sdcard in that to make a gold card
Sent from my HTC Desire
I have tried to make a goldcard using my xperia x8, but the two cards I have aren't being recognised after using the hex editor. It keeps saying they are not formatted.
Then first look for an usb unbrick guide, it should be easy.
Or -
send the phone back. You are supposed to get a phone in working condition, not some overpriced paperweight. Unless you deliberately bought the phone in such condition which is imho extremely foolish. To sell a phone in non working condition is outrageous! I hope you haven't left positive feedback.

The thing is, I think it's my own fault. When I got the phone, at least it went into the bootloader when you held the down volume button and pressed power on, but now it won't even do that. It's stuck at the black screen with the four exclamation marks at the corners. Is there anything I can do in fastboot, since that is what it's stuck it? The USB unbrick guide doesn't help because I can't get past fastboot mode...
Can anyone help?
