I was reading about the thread about ultra Thin case for galaxy s3, and I found this product up on SGP website, and I realized no one has talked about it in this forum! I already got Flex Hd, but It sounds so innovative because I heard there were no screen protector that covers the entire screen!

wow that looks nice for a dry application
tho its still not released only pre-orders available
Edit: btw how the Flex HD running? is it sticky and got orange peel?
Great. Got my nano clear yesterday and now they release an improved product for the Galaxy S3.
I'm still waiting on my replacement nano (ordered the crystal when it came out)....wonder if there's any way they can wait and send me that new one.
I am wondering will there be conflict with the hard case on?
I hope it fits well, so this will be available to buy in next two weeks right?

Yes, me too they sent the nano just 2 days ago, by the way i prefer the nano cause i don't feel good with the Flex HD, personally i think that the Flex isn't too thin around the home button.

Not sure what you mean about cover the whole screen, but the xtremeguards I got cover the whole screen. And it's kinda of a shame because it gets lifted up on the corners by some cases. I am gonna have to reapply mine to get it aligned more prefectly.. I think it's the reason most screen protectors leave space at the edges.

All of dry screen protector are cut short because it lifts up on the curved edge, and only wet screen protectors can cover the whole screen. And, this is the first (so far I know) "Dry" screen protector that "covers the entire screen". Xtremeguard is also a wet screen protector. Some people prefer the glass like feels of dry screen protectors than rubbery feels of wet screen protector. Hope this helps!
Here is little more information about the Curved Crystal from SGP.
"Thank you for contacting Spigen.com Customer Service Department.
Hi, my name is Diana from Spigen.com.
Thank you for your interest in our products! The Curved Crystal will have 100 micron thickness. For your reference, the Ultra Nano Series are 50 micron thick, and the Ultra Crystal is 120 micron thick. All of our products are designed to be compatible with one another. Therefore, if used with our cases, the screen protectors should be not affected. However, we cannot guarantee if this product is not used with a SPIGEN SGP case.
We unfortunately, do not have any definite plans to produce a GLAS.t for the Galaxy S3 at the moment. However, if there is increased interest from our customers, we may change our production plans in the future."
I think we need to start thread requesting GLAS.t for Galaxy S3!

I can't post images yet.
It was pretty straight forward to fit, a few bubbles under the film that i had to push out though. The surface is slightly grippy. This is my first screen protector (and smartphone) so I'm not able to give a comparison but I'd certainly say it's not as smooth as using the nexus bare.
I'm happy with it but I'll probably try a non spray type in the future to see how it compares.
As you can see the screen protector covers a larger area than the SGP Steinheil Ultra Oleophobic, pretty much right to the edge of the screen before it curves.
can you fix the pics link ?

I am interested in hearing your thoughts on screen clarity and any rainbowing from it as well.
Thanks for fixing the links.
Screen clarity is great. The film is not noticeable from the angles you would be using the phone but there are some slight ripples you can see from extreme angles. The second picture I posted shows this.
The film claims to able to heal itself and I have noticed overnight some slight marks (again only visible from the side) I made by pushing air bubbles out with my fingernail have disappeared.
No rain-bowing whatsoever as far as I can tell.
I would guess the film would be crystal clear not anti glare, I can't see it mentioned anywhere. Maybe check the product site.
I purchased from the SGP store (search SGP Flex Galaxy Nexus, sorry still can't post links)
and Paid $50 total with the most expensive shipping to Australia which took 3 days including a weekend.
I've just paid £20 for one of these to be shipped from South Korea to the UK with express delivery. I ordered on Saturday and had an email saying it was shipped today. I hope it's worth it.

I also just ordered mine in anticipation of the hopefully soon VZW release.
Just grabbed one of these US$17 delivered.
Hopefully they are ok, I loved the Bodyguardz on my iPhone.
Thanks for the pictures and impressions.
This new Flex series seems a lot like Zagg InvisibleShields I had for my Droid X. Depth's pictures show the typical "orange peel" texture that is associated with most wet application screen protectors.
Not exactly my cup of tea, but I'm a bit thrown off by the lack of full screen coverage with the Steinheil Oleophobic model. Thus I'm still debating which is the best solution to go with. I inquired about a Ultra Crystal and Optics version for the Galaxy Nexus and Steinheil customer support had no clue.
for me, either realook or martin fields for the screen protector and a wet invisi-type protection for the body!
i guess that is one good thing waiting for a bit for the GSM North american versions. by the time we get it, we'll have loads of accesssories to choose from.
but of course i'm an impatient american and want my gnex now, so gonna order next week!!!!
just waiting on the vzw release and see if there is a gsm version coming soon to USA.
Mine arrived today and I was really careful with keeping my phone scratch free. I cleaned it with the cloth and perfect, not a scratch anywhere. I fitted the screen protector and still managed to trap a small speck of dust. Lol.
All in all the fit is great and the casemate tough along with the sgp should keep my phone immaculate for years to come. I would recommend this to anyone as the protector is quite thick but doesn't seem to spoil the display at all.

yup same here i used ALL of the solution trying to get the dust out and there is still 1 spec left right near the edge .....but ive seen it and it annoys me lol
What about smudges and fingerprints.. can they be easily wiped off? I ordered mine just now and I hope it won't attract too much of that.
With the wet application, does the protector cling to the screen immediately like a dry application, or does it slide around a bit, making for easier aligning?
Yes but For a short time. Of You hands a moist fingers tend to "skip".

Can you comment if it has an orange peel effect? I abhor screen protectors that offer that kind of look. I refuse to put one of those on that screen. I was planning on buying one right now so I will have it the day I get my Nexus on VZW. If you can take a really good picture of the screen to show any kind of effect if any, I would appreciate it. I was hoping to hear that, Ultra Crystal it is for me
just received my s3 and installed the flex sgp. noticed it does not fully cover the screen on the side. there was enough gap to trap some dust and lint over time.
other than that, i dont see anything wrong with the flex.
should've went with ultra crystal since that's what I have on my S2 but I want to try something new

Would you mind posting some pics of the Flex HD installed on the GS3? Really curious to see how it looks installed.
I have tried both.
-FlexHD-
Pros:
anti-glare
fingerprint proof
fits the screen perfectly
Cons:
my first batch has this very weird rainbow effect problem. currently waiting for my free replacement from SGP; their customer service is very good.
-Steinheil Crystal-
Pros:
as the name suggests, it's crystal clear
feels very high quality
Cons:
does not cover the whole screen; see photos:

http://i45.tinypic.com/2qbexwj.jpg
http://i50.tinypic.com/2vcaute.jpg
Overall, I prefer the FlexHD and that will probably be my final protector once I receive my replacement. Although I'd replace it with a Steinheil Oleophobic (when they come out) if it has that rainbow problem again.
If anyone has any comparison questions, feel free to ask me. I've tried FlexHD, Steinheil Crystal, and XtremeGuard. I'll probably try a Zagg before I put on a new FlexHD as well...
I'm not sure why you'd waste your money on Zagg. Honestly, those have got to be the worst, most lint happy, bumpy, overpriced films I've ever seen. Have you ever used a Zagg? I've had several kits on iDevices years back and they're great for the backs of iPods just for protection but SGP is leaps and bounds ahead of them IMO.

Im actually kind of liking that it doesn't cover all of the glass, it looks like the actual screen is covered which is the purpose of it right? and with it not covering the entire thing getting any bubbles out would be easy right?
Thanks for the pics on the Steinheil Crystal. compare to the flex, it's not that bad lol

I almost fell outta my chair when I watched the installation video.....my first concern was "how the hell they gonna show a screen protector install in 23 seconds???" The rest was history. Already placed my order, that's is a purely genius idea/technique they've got there. I don't really care that it doesn't reach the edges of the phone, my Otterbox will likely cover the area it doesn't so no worries.
Thanks for sharing that

I can't wait for the Oleo to come out, I always get that for all my phones.
So I've been looking at the screen protector threads around here, and while people have been pointing out good deals, and bad ones, I've yet to see anyone really comment about the "Feel" of their screen protector.
Long story short: I HATE the Zagg I have on my Evo 3D. Playing Fruit Ninja and the likes on it is impossible unless I want to coat my screen in butter so it's more slick. A few rounds and I feel like I'm going to burn my fingertips off! Hate, hate, hate. That's all I feel for Zagg. Anyway, I'm planning on leaving the phone naked (No case) with just the screen protector on, and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good screen protector that will fit the bill?
I had a Sprint branded screen protector for my original Evo 4G, and it was perfect! It was as smooth as the glass, fit well, and I could hardly see it unless I looked at an angle, so maybe they'll have one at my sprint store on release day. (Albeit at a 50000% markup. Ew...) But I'd rather not spend 40$ on a piece of plastic. Lol.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks for the replies everyone. Gonna go with the Ultra Crystal, sounds like what I want. Reviews on the Flex make it sound like the Zagg, with the wet application and the loss of smoothness on the protector.
Now I'm going to have a pile of accessories to go with my phone that I don't even have yet.

Spigen/SGP said that they won't be making the Glas t glass screen protector for the galaxy s3 because of its curved screen. A shame, but understandable.
Makes me wonder how xgearlive are going to manufacture a glass screen protector with a decent fit.
It won't be able to go to the edge, not as it's curved.
hopefully xgearlive will offer a discount for s3 users, the gnexus has USD 5 off.
What screen protectors for the SGS3 are perfectly smooth and transparentr? The screen protector I have on my current phone (BB) is slightly "frosted" or textured which messes with the pixels on the screen. It does make it easier to swipe and does not attract dust or fingerprints, but I would rather have a screen protector that is perfectly clear for the SGS3. What are some good ones?
just look for clear/crystal vs. matte (the "frosted" you have)

Go with SGP Ultra Crystal Screen protectors if you are looking for something that looks and feels like glass. No rubber feeling to it like some skins, and as the product name states, they are crystal clear. I have used Zagg, BodyGaurdz, Skinomi, etc, but I always go back to SGP Ultra series protectors because of how they feel, and protect the screen. Not to mention, it is a dry install, no water or spray to mess with and no bubbles.
I just ordered mine from Amazon yesterday for $13 + free shipping. Don't have my SGIII yet, but I have been used SGP covers on my SG, and SGII. Excellent protectors.

+1 for the SGP Ultra Crystal, EXCEPT they've been discontinued - I've got one on mine and have the problem they've noted (there's another thread for this) - the way the screen curves, the edges don't seal. Spigen is replacing them with the Nano, to be out soon, I think. I'll be ok leaving it on until then, but you might want to hold off.
Just ordered a SGP Ultaclear Nano screen protector off of Amazon.

Yep. I found out about that too late. It's not bad looking, but they don't seal at the edge.

Apparently you can email them that you got the clear crystal and they will send you their new one, the ultranano for free.

Just to clarify... Did you buy the ZAGG InvisibleSHIELD or the ZAGG InvisibleSHIELD HD?
What did you not like about it?
This looks pretty interesting. I pre-ordered mine today. I'll report back when I get it in a couple of weeks.

If it works as advertised, I think we now have a viable solution for all curved screens.
NICE FIND... PreOrdered 2 of them.

I saw this last night on their site... looks promising
Just got my SGP Ultra Nano Optics today for my GS3....I had the SGP ultra oleophobic for my One X which was perfect, couldn't see it was on and couldn't feel it was on.
I'm bummed on the SGP Ultra Nano Optics though! It feels like one of those holographic cards that makes the squakey noise when you rub your finger on it...feels NOTHING like glass like my last SGP protector! hopefully they let me return it as it stated there was no tactile difference but there is a huge one.
Also hoping that this one is more like their other screen protectors that feel like glass!
I just installed the NANO and it was a painless installation. Although cut smaller than the screen it is hardly noticeable as it is really Ultra Clear. If you don't look for the edges you will not notice. I also really sticks well along the edges too. The surface becomes slippery with use. I am happy with this one. No orange peel effect.
Awesome that they're bringing the Crystal line back with a built-in curve that won't peel up! Glad I didn't buy the Ultra Nano right away after I returned my discontinued Ultra Crystal (non-curved).
Might just order this to replace my $0.99 skinomi, since the skinomi tends to peel up a bit at the edges where the TPU case meets it, and makes it huge hassle to change cases.
Definitely considering this over any of Zagg's offerings. I assume this only ships with a single protector?
Also not a deal killer but does SGP charge your card immediate or not until orders ship?
FYI: They are offering this protector in their eBay store for the same price WITH free shipping. Some preorder with 1-2 weeks for delivery.

Better be careful. I'm not sure it's "them". The one I bought was from an authorized reseller and had free shipping.
I emailed SGP to ask them about exchanging the nano for the curved and they said no, because I didn't buy directly from them.
The auction was worked a little tricky to make it look like it was indeed them, but they did have an authorized dealer icon too.
... waiting to see if the adhesive is strong enough to not lift up with my diztronic tpu case... Once that is confirmed I will be all over this
..... And just like that. They already raised the price $2 and its not even out yet... WTF? Still will probably get it if they are the only option but just bummed to see a price bump already

Damn. You're right. I didn't pull the trigger yesterday, because I figured I'd wait until it hit Amazon at a better price anyway.

I'll report back. I have the Ultra Nano on now. Unless the Curved Crystal is much thicker than the Nano, I don't think using my Rock case with it will be problematic.

you shouldn't have a problem with the Rock case. i'm holding off on this until i receive my PixelSkin HD. if i don't like it then i plan on getting the Rock case and i'll get this screen protector to cover the entire front.
Had the issue with my Realook screen protector with the Cruzerlite case lifting up the edges. Decided to just take off the film and go without for the time being. I may pick this up though, looks nice.
