Thunderbolt Screen Protectors

It looks like the phone might finally be releasing soon, so I am about to buy a screen protector. There are a few kinds out on the market right now, so I am curious about what other people are getting, or have had experience with in the past.

I know there are some cheap screen protectors on ebay, but when the phone costs this much I don't mind paying a few bucks extra to get better quality.
My current phone has a matte screen protector, but there is a loss in screen quality, so with the new phone I am going to try to avoid the matte, even though I HATE fingerprints.
I put a ZAGG invisibleSHIELD on my iPad, and I'm not really impressed with it. I guess it is doing it's job. I don't care for the texture, fingers don't slide easy, and you can definitely tell there is a screen protector on there. It looks like the Skinomi TechSkin is a very similar product, they even have a picture of the film being poked with a ball point been, just like ZAGG does.
Does anyone have any input on these, or maybe another brand to consider? I know another user posted some info on the Steinheil products, and I am considering trying the Ultra Crystal.

Try out ghost armor. I have it on my phone and it has a better feel than those invisible shields. You can barely tell its there.

ghostarmor is too much you can find the same thing on ebay for $5 bucks shipped.

the zagg covers get sticky if your hands are a little sweaty.. but they are prectically indestructible... I found it so much of a hassle that I took it off and went with the plain plastic ones that vzw sells even though I have to change them every few months

I ordered some of the steinheil ones, but I am going to buy the verizon ones until they get here. I can see which ones I like better.

You can add Boxwave to that list. I prefer them to any of the others I've tried on my Inc (liked the BW Crystals better than the Steinhills).

+1 for Boxwave. Their antiglare is the best I've tried and I've tried Verizon's brand, Steinheil, and Seidio. It does pixelate the the screen a bit but it's far more transparent than the others and it feels terrific.

Just bought a ultra crystal (steinheil) on ebay, interestingly enough its cheaper then direct from them (13.99 + free shipping vs 13.99 + $2.40 shipping)

Previously, I've sworn by the Invisshield, but as mentioned, I'm not a fan of the texture on it. I've placed an order for the steinheil, and I'll let you all know once that and my phone show up

my friend gave me a 3-pack of verizon branded screen protectors with my tbolt purchase, he said consider it free on my employee discount or something
anyway, he put one on for me and it feels like there's not even a screen protector on it but i can still see it, no idea on how protective it really is tho...

My favorite is this "Remove before use" brand I'm currently using
I ordered a $1.14 "cheapo-tek" from amazon and will report back with my mediocre results early next week
I assume it's just the same bulk material most of these use.

SGP labels all of them "Ultra":
Ultra Crystal - Clarity
Ultra Fine - Fingerprint reduction
Ultra Oleophobic - Oil resistant
Their marketing doesn't matter much to me, I've just had really good experience with them in the past.

Here is my experience on the whole deal. In the past I tested all kinds of covers full body, really good ones, and cheap. With my last incredible i decided to try none. I even dug into the screen with scissors and a fork just to test. Nothing no scratches. Also not like one of those lite scratch tests on youtube. I used some force. Now I'm not saying go test it just that the new glass they use is quite durable. Over the year that I used the phone i never got any scratches. My advice would be to save the money get a cheap regular screen protector if you have to or none at all. If you are really accident proned get an otterbox. Just don't waste all the time and money i did researching and trying all the screen protectors.

Looking for a slick "Like Glass" screen protector.

So I've been looking at the screen protector threads around here, and while people have been pointing out good deals, and bad ones, I've yet to see anyone really comment about the "Feel" of their screen protector.
Long story short: I HATE the Zagg I have on my Evo 3D. Playing Fruit Ninja and the likes on it is impossible unless I want to coat my screen in butter so it's more slick. A few rounds and I feel like I'm going to burn my fingertips off! Hate, hate, hate. That's all I feel for Zagg. Anyway, I'm planning on leaving the phone naked (No case) with just the screen protector on, and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good screen protector that will fit the bill?
I had a Sprint branded screen protector for my original Evo 4G, and it was perfect! It was as smooth as the glass, fit well, and I could hardly see it unless I looked at an angle, so maybe they'll have one at my sprint store on release day. (Albeit at a 50000% markup. Ew...) But I'd rather not spend 40$ on a piece of plastic. Lol.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Haha, join the club! I have 2 full body XtremeGuard protectors, 3 XtremeGuard screen protectors, a Fosmon TPU case, Otterbox Commuter case on order and a TriboScreen screen protector on order. Also have an EZOPower electroluminescent charger cord on order. About to order a car holder and a desk dock and I think I'll be good for a while

exactly i had abunch of skinomis during their .95 sale on hox and it was horrible. the flex is exactly the same (wet, flexible application. rainbow effects galore.)

Sgp flex hd is fantastic but....
I just ordered the sgp flex hd as a back up. I love spigen products. With that said, You can't get any closer to a "glass feel" then a tempered glass screen protector. I've only found one online and just ordered it. The link is....

Spigen/SGP said that they won't be making the Glas t glass screen protector for the galaxy s3 because of its curved screen. A shame, but understandable.
Makes me wonder how xgearlive are going to manufacture a glass screen protector with a decent fit.

It won't be able to go to the edge, not as it's curved.

hopefully xgearlive will offer a discount for s3 users, the gnexus has USD 5 off.

Smooth, transparent GS3 screen protector

What screen protectors for the SGS3 are perfectly smooth and transparentr? The screen protector I have on my current phone (BB) is slightly "frosted" or textured which messes with the pixels on the screen. It does make it easier to swipe and does not attract dust or fingerprints, but I would rather have a screen protector that is perfectly clear for the SGS3. What are some good ones?

just look for clear/crystal vs. matte (the "frosted" you have)

Go with SGP Ultra Crystal Screen protectors if you are looking for something that looks and feels like glass. No rubber feeling to it like some skins, and as the product name states, they are crystal clear. I have used Zagg, BodyGaurdz, Skinomi, etc, but I always go back to SGP Ultra series protectors because of how they feel, and protect the screen. Not to mention, it is a dry install, no water or spray to mess with and no bubbles.
I just ordered mine from Amazon yesterday for $13 + free shipping. Don't have my SGIII yet, but I have been used SGP covers on my SG, and SGII. Excellent protectors.

I have only tried Invisible Shield and those cheap $2 screen protectors in the past, hated all of them till I got the SGP for my One X. LOVED it! It literally feels like nothing is there and looks like nothing is there. Ordering one for my S3 now

DO NOT buy zagg invisible shield. I just did for the first time and i am demanding a refund from best buy.

+1 for the SGP Ultra Crystal, EXCEPT they've been discontinued - I've got one on mine and have the problem they've noted (there's another thread for this) - the way the screen curves, the edges don't seal. Spigen is replacing them with the Nano, to be out soon, I think. I'll be ok leaving it on until then, but you might want to hold off.

Just ordered a SGP Ultaclear Nano screen protector off of Amazon.
Getting all of these goodies in the mail without a phone to put them on is such a drag... *sigh*

Yep. I found out about that too late. It's not bad looking, but they don't seal at the edge.

Warning! Rearth Ultimate Clear Plus != SGP Ultra Oleophobic

Sigh I was very disappointed that SGP decided to cancel the Ultra Oleophobic for the S3.
I searched for a replacement and saw that Rearth offered their "Ultimate Clear Plus" with oleophobic coating too...
So I ordered it and got my S3 finally and wow! What a disappointment. I am glad I got it from Amazon so I can return it. This film is so thin and it feels like crap!
I slide my finger on it and it gets stuck dragging...
So if anyone looking for an oleophobic screen protector, stay away from Rearth!

Oh my I just got mine last 2 days and my s3 is coming tom. does it really look that bad saw the review on amazon everyone is happy about it was thingking of getting realook but they just release there screen protector after i bought this one .

How long has it been installed?
Is it a wet or dry application?

Im hoping that their newer product Steinheil Ultra Nano Clear is similar to the Oleophobic's I have the Flex HD on it right now and I hate it.. its too much like a zag

I've always been pretty happy with Realook on my other phones in the past. Too bad you missed out on that one..

that sucks. i just received my rearth case and screen protector in the mail.

Hmm i got mine installed now got to agree that its a little rough but not that all bad to me its easy to install screen clarity is good. I'll just let my hand used to it

Some screen protectors take a few days to be less catchy on one's fingers. I know that was the case with my xtremeguard and now I can't even tell its there

I put mine on this morning once my phone arrived. It took a couple hours to not be so sticky. After that, the feel has been great and no issues with clarity. I had the spigen oleophobic on my epic touch and I'd say they're pretty similar.

I just got the Rearth today and slapped it on. No complaints, very clear and it will be grippy for a short time, maybe a day or two.

Put my Rearth on today. No complaints here. Very easy to put on and nice and clear.
Ordered a Realook too that I'll keep as a backup if this one doesn't last long.

It's too thin. It won't be much protection.

Oh well.

I just put mine on, and I am satisfied. It was super easy to get a centered, bubble-free placement. It's very clear, but it is a bit grippy currently. My understanding is that it's temporary. Provided that goes away, this should be a solid product
Edit: The grippiness has subsided. I highly recommend this screen protector.

Did yours come in a generic iphone packaging? I was really confused. I thought they sent me the wrong product. I opened it and it does look like it's supposed to but it was just really weird.
Also, if anyone tried, how easy is it to peel off?

I'm using the xtremeguard one right now. Obviously didn't pay 40 bucks for it. Honestly it's my favorite accessory for my phone. The glass feels a bit beveled and it reminds me if the edged on the nexus 4, how they used to be so smooth. I'm sure all the tempered glass protectors feel like this but this is the one I have.

Hmm, interesting. The packaging was completely different for me. Yours looks like the actual packaging from the ebay page. Mine Also says USA126 on it, but it's some generic packaging with an iphone on the front. However, inside everything looks the same as what you got. The pad, protector, cloth, and that same blue sticker. I put on the protector yesterday and so far I do like it a lot. Also, I'm not sure if the sticker was meant for this, but instead of wiping it down with the alcohol pad, I used the sticker to pick up all of the dust before applying the protector and it worked extremely well.

Still out of stock. Might hit up that ebay screen protector.

Does the eBay protector cover side to side or is it rounded off the corners so cases don't pick it up. How's the adhesive on it? Any webbing? Does it stick fully? These eBay protectors aren't always the best. How about the oleophobic coating?

The edges appear to be rounded, they haven't picked up at all with my case. The adhesive is great, no webbing, and it adhered fully. I cleaned the phone VERY well, took off the backing from the screen protector, and gently placed it on the phone. I was surprised that I didn't have to press hard to make it seal, or do the binder clip thing that other people have talked about. I'm very happy with mine, and for $6 it's the best screen protector I have ever bought.

This makes me wish I hadn't bought my full price spigen glasTr. There's no way it's 4 times as good as this.

So far I'm happy with the 6 dollar one I bought. It came in wrong packaging, but the product itself seems fine. I use the nexus 4 replica case and it fits very well. I think I had a bit of spiderwebbing but I pressed on it with my finger and it went away. I did notice a very tiny speck of dust I must have must underneath but its not always visible even though I know where it is. There's seems to be a very small scratch on the bottom and top corner. I'm not sure if that's something underneath but again, it's hardly visible and it's not on the screen part so I don't mind.

It's not bad, I've only had it since May but so far no chips and fits great with both the slim armor and the acase superleggra . Fingerprints do show but they are easy to clean. I forget it's there, it's a ton better than any plastic screen protector and spigens customer support is great. When I installed the first one a corner didn't adhere, not sure if it was my fault but spigen sent me a new one free of charge.

Wow It was really kind of then to send you a replacement for free! Is the GLAS.tR case friendly? I've already ordered a Spigen Ultra Fit case from eBay, and it's on the way, I just wanna make sure that it's going to fit properly.
