Hi, I make a custom rom in Android Kitchen 0.197 - by dsixda, everything works fine I change the kernek to an oc kernel (HCDRjacob-htc-kernel-wildfire-2.6.32.606a571) with no problems and take a few apps out. But my problem is how to make an "advanced power menu" with "recovery" etc.
I already search entire Buzz forum, google etc and I never see nothing to HTC Wildfire (Buzz).
CAn anyone help me please
Android Version: 2.2.1 (Custom)
Kernel: HCDRjacob-htc-kernel-wildfire-2.6.32.606a571
Build Number: 2.22.405.1
Thanks and sorry for my inglish

I'm not very sure did it long back, I think you need you just replace android.policy.jar from a ROM which has the extra features.
I did it on a sense ROM BTW.

Well, i already try this but maybe with de wrong APM because it dont instal the rom after replace the file.
Need to find an APM who works fine with BUZZ (wildfire)
I deodexed the android.policy.jar and found file with the airplane mode and the rest of the power menu optinos but im not a DEV and its not easy to understand.
Thanks revankar

[Q][Solved] ROM Alex-V 2.3 - A2SD+ and UOT Kitchen

Hi there !
I've installed custom ROM Alex-V 2.3 with A2SD+ (no problem to install) and I'm now trying UOT Kitchen.
I've chosen :
Mod version: SCB with %, Version [A-M]
Battery: Version A, White numbers
and no to all others options
edit : at the end, I choose ROM Alex-V 2.3 in the list
Then I flash the generated zip file, reboot, enter my pin code, and then when interface loads, I get several force closes.
Could you help me to know why I have this issue ?
thanks
Hi,
still can't find a solution, any help ? :/
Try to extract your own framwork-res.apk and upload that.
Here is how to: http://circle.glx.nl/how_to/
Hi TheGhost1233,
I tried this but unfortunately I get the same force closes problem.
When I flash original framework-res.apk, it goes back to normal, but I'd like to custom it and don't understand why it doesn't work :s
What fc errors do you get?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
for exemple I could have :
com.htc.launcher
com.google.android.gm
com.google.process.gapps
com.htc.newsreader
com.android.mms
and others...
It happens just after validating my pin code.
Hi again,
I have some good news !
I re-flashed the ROM (with cache and dalvik-cache wipe, don't know if it was usefull), re-flashed my UOT Kitchen zip file, and I now have no force close !
Thank you TheGhost1233 for your answers.
see you

[Q] Quick Settings edit

hi,
quick question: how to edit the quick settings in the drop-down menu (notification tray) in Gingerbread Sense ROMs ? (im using insertcoin)
i want to know ! how to do ?
Maybe this Thread helps you
well unfortunatetly no answer there, just an idea to decompile an .apk and suit it to my needs.
still, anyone ?
Its so simple in MIUI Rom... their is an option in settings/Personal/ Custom Status Bar..
Incase you desperately want the setting, you can try MIUI ;-)
Well it's a difference if you did the thing yourself or if you want to change a HTC based feature without big hacks. I think it's pretty much impossible.
But if there is a solution, let me know - 2G/3G is missing
it is not impossible, in stock you get only a few quick settings, in custom roms (rcmixs, insertcoin) devs extended it - i want to know how, so i can remove the unneeded shortcuts.
robocik: not that easy, you should take a modded systemui.apk and a stock one, decode both with apktool and diff them, that way you will see how it is maked and will be easier for you to modify it.
this is the method, have not tried it yet though.
if any of you intrested guys tries to do this, i really apprecieate your feedback here thx.
and big thanks to robo, not only for all the amazing job he is doing for our community, but also for responding to my Q
I have rooted Desire Z with Virtuous Sence v2 Rom.
Go to
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1071118
and download Extra QuickSettings 0.2
http://www.multiupload.com/W7GXFQJN6R
Extract SystemUI.apk from zip file.
I used DroidExplorer to replace original : system/app/SystemUI.apk
with the downloaded one and have ne quick settings menu.
Is there any way to change "quick settings" with rooting?
If by "change" you mean "add/remove features in the settings list", yes, there is. Check out this thread.

[MOD][23 OCT]Pulldown Notification Torch With Simplistic Battery % Mod [3.57.401.500]

EDIT: I've re-written this entire post because it got a bit messy and I don't think I explained things very well! Plus I messed up and uploaded the file as an APK and not a ZIP!
I've re-wiped my phone completely because I managed to get it into a muddle! I fully flashed ARHD30.0 & InsertCoin 3.0.5 and I was still getting gapps FC messages and apparently it's a known / common thing so I wiped the SD and everything, allowed Sense to have G+ access and now it's playing nice again! This was without even flashing my MOD! So something went squiffy!
Anyway:
This MOD has been tested on InsertCoin 3.0.5 which is based on the 3.57.401.500 ROM so it may work on other ROMs as well but I can't be certain. I did try this on ARHD30.0 and for some reason when I pressed the torch option it didn't work. Nothing seemed to happen. It could be because /system isn't mounted as RW or the flashlight APK is different or there's a file deny permission to the location where it writes the LED brightness to, I'm not sure yet but will see what it is if I get chance. It works fine on InsertCoin 3.0.5.
All you need to do is download the zip, flash it in recovery and then reboot your phone back into Sense 5.5 for the torch icon to appear and work.
When you pull down the notification tab there's a torch icon next to the quick settings button. You can tap this up to 3 times to increase the flash brightness levels. Pressing a 4th time will turn the torch off again.
I preferred this method because it doesn't just call the HTC Torch application, it actually does control the torch on and off.
I usually run ViperOne but I'm waiting for their sense 5.5 update so decided to throw this together as I like a lockscreen torch type thing!
Usual disclaimer applies, I'm not responsible for boot-looping your phone so please flash at your own risk and make a nandroid before you do!
Please remember to thank me if you think this is any good / you use it! I may change the icon / spacing as I'm not 100% sure I like it at the moment.
Cheers,
Nick
EDIT: MD5 Should be 05CB646CB469DCB0141E416B63340F30
I can confirm that the MD5 for SystemUI.apk on InsertCoin 3.0.5 is a match to 3.0.4 so this MOD should work fine on the newest version also. Feedback is appreciated to let me know if it worked alright for you or not!?
Any suggestions or different torch icons / logos are appreciated too if anyone has a better icon to use!

Sorry to hear it didn't work. It must only work on pure Sense 5.5 based ROMs and not AOSP / Hybrid type ones. Thanks for trying and hopefully you have a backup to go back to?
If not you can copy out the SystemUI.apk from your ARHD GE ROM and put it in the zip file from this thread (overwrite mine that's in there) and re-flash and you will have your old one back.
works great, thanks a lot!

I flashed this in stock deodex sense 5.5 Rom .install but not working
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Not sure if anyone is bothered for this but I've updated the style shown in the screenshots in this post. I can provide APK's for ROMs with this mod included and I know why it didn't work on ARHD and possibly stock ROMs etc. You need the following to be run in an init.d script:
chmod 666 /sys/class/leds/flashlight/brightness
I knew it was a permission issue somewhere but didn't look into it till it didn't work on Viper so I wanted to fix it!
Anyway, if anyone is interested post here, and I'll see what I can do. If you want it with the ROMs battery percentage or mine then let me know!
