Are There Any CM9 Based Roms with Working Flashlight Toggle? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

The flashlight notification bar toggle is something i use pretty regularly. I know it isn't included in official CM9 because it uses a dirty hack. Have any CM9 based roms included the "dirty hack" for working flashlight toggle?

I know, I'm using aokp. I would like to use CM9 though

Alright. Check out Power Controls. This will replace your baked-in toggles, so you'll have to disable those, and enable these. It has a flashlight toggle.

Liquid has a flashlight toggle but don't think its CM9 based.

elly Bean rom with ability to toggle soft keys on/offs?

on ICS there was a rom called gummy which allowed you to toggle the soft keys on and off from the power menu. i really miss this feature in JB and now that the gummy rom has been discontinued was wondering if any roms have this feature. I have not been able to find one. Thank you.

paranoid and cyan can, and any ROM can do this with the full screen app from the LMT thread. Except for some reason it doesn't work yet on aokp jb.

Way to go, blackbelt! I'll take this puppy for a spin!
You know what would put this ahead of the curve.. User support just a suggestion. The code and feature is there. Just needs the brains to flip the switch

Going to give this a go!
Running pretty smooth so far, man. Good stuff!!! Paired it with Trinity alpha 4. Running smooth! What do you have plans for adding to it?
I'm glad to see you built your own man. I'm gonna download and flash for sure. Thanks for this.

Center clock mod, theme chooser, and the navbar settings are on my mind right now. I'll take suggestions on anything but if I wont use it, it probably wont end up in the rom.
on the reboot menu, are the colors for the icons and text not supposed to be all uniform? Some of them are the nice blue color and the others are the grey color.
I'll try it

[MOD] JB DLK4 - 13 Toggles on Notification Bar

This is a modified SystemUI,apk that provides 12 toggles on the Notification Bar QuickSettings panel. (It was originally 13 toggles but the NFC toggle was found not to work correctly and has been removed.) This is a CWM/TWRP-flashable .zip.
The original file came from the Telus version of DLK4 but I believe Rogers and Bell use the same base so it's highly likely that it will work fine on those ROMs as well.
Thank you, sir. I can confirm it works and it works well.
Would you be able to add Flashlight toggle as well?
Thanks for the toggles they only one that works partially is the NFC one you can turn it on and if you want to turn it off it will not

Sorry, I can't... I've only enabled the toggles that are built-in to Samsung's ROM, and there isn't one for flashlight.

You're right about that... I've uploaded a revised .zip that removes the NFC toggle.
Do I need odex or de-odex rom for this to work. Can I use it on stock rooted Telus rom? will it work 4.1.1 update =)
Thank you =)
The nfc toggle should really be called sbeam toggle as that is what it turns on and off. I guess that is what the p2p part of the label means.

Better unlock functionality in 4.2?

Would it be possible to (or does some rom already have it that I don't know about) make it so that lockscreen widgets in 4.2 can be fully expanded by default and then unlocked just by swiping the unlock up? So basically the widget could be shrunk back and the phone unlocked all in one motion?
This would basically unlock in a similar way to HTC Sense. I'm just not a huge fan of having to first shrink the widget and then unlock as it feels like a totally unnecessary step.
I think Xylon has quick press and hold to unlock, but I found Xylon to be pretty unstable on my VZW nexus. Could that functionality be ported to any rom? If it matters I'm running Liquid Smooth Beta.
Any help would be awesome. Thanks.
Team sourcery rom has auto maximize widgets and long press lock key to unlock phone. Works very well for what you are looking for

right, I've done that but it still takes two swipes to unlock. One up and one to the right. Not a huge deal but I'd like a quicker unlock option.

I don't think that option is available in CM10. I think it's just like that by default.

Mods for stock AOSP?

Hey guys
Right now, I'm in CM, but I feel it's still a little bloated.
I want a very stock ROM, and Mmuzzy's ROM is a perfect fit. But it doesn't have a few mods I'd like.
Is there a way I can flash a mod for "kill app back button"?
Also, I didn't like the existing Quick Settings Mod in Mmuzzy's build. Can I get the quick settings Mod that exists in most other roms, like CM?
Thanks guys.

Sure. Both ROMs are AOSP, port them over. It may be a bit of work, but yes it is doable.
