Sony Ericsson mw600. Amazon has them for like $40.
LG HBS-700
About $60 but sometimes cheaper. Folks on the other end don't know I'm in a naked Jeep. I still can't hear them great but that's mostly because I only have it in my right ear. At work, with both in, all of the cube-land noise is silenced by my Slacker tunes. I've used them with my gtab2, old fruit-based phone, corporate crackberry and shiny new SGS3.

The New Plantroncs Backbeat Go's can't be beat. I switched to them from the LG's.
Depends how much you want to spend. I have both the SE MW600 and LG HBS700. I like the MW600 because it lets you use your own headphones to plug into it allowing you to have better sound quality. I like the LG because of simplicity of 1 device but the sound quality is lacking compared to the MW600. I threw the MW600 in the drawer and use the LG exclusively ever since getting them. I got them for $40 off Newegg when they had the special a month ago.
I have the Jaybird Freedom. They run for $99 but they are awesome. I used to have the Sennheiser MM100. They were good too.
I'm liking my LG HBS700 so far. Tried Motorola s10 and really didn't like the fit, but LG one is comfortable. I forget that it's there sometimes. Kinda wish I got the white one now to match soon-to-be-mine white gs3!

Because of this promo I just pulled the trigger and got them (I've been looking at them for a while now). Thanks!
i use the motorola s9-hd headphones. i've had them for a while and overall i've been pretty happy with them. they can be found on amazon for about $35.
i picked up the LG ones from newegg deals as well. Never had bluetooth headphones before so hopefully these will be good.
anyone know one that works well in a loud corvette? I have the oakley glass ones, and they are awesome, but hard for ppl to hear me apparently when i'm driving
edit - what a coincidence. found this headset, and the reviewer talks about how great it works in his corvette that's rather loud. LOL

The current model won't survive many workouts. Killed three sets in two weeks of going to the gym.
I like the Jaybird Freedom best at the moment. Am sure something else will come along shortly that's better.
The Jaybird Freedom 3 also have lifetime guarantee against sweat as well. I have them and they sound great with GS3.
LG HBS-700 is the only one to buy...period.
LG HBS-700!!!
I use these while riding my motorcycle and can take and talk while riding 70 mph!!! Have done it several times. It works and love mine.
Are the Jaybird good for running? The Backbeats keep falling off my ears when I run. I like my Motorola S9 but it's getting old.
My jaybirds stay in my ears while jogging and cycling pretty well. I do occasionally have to adjust them but not so often that it's annoying

Have these now. They are amazing. I got them for cheap on ebay in new condition. Well worth the price tag. Range, bass, battery all excellent. Range is around 50+ ft through a crowded gym. Once you get used to how they fit around your ears these are great. They never fall out while running or anything. And cancel all noise around you.
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Ericsson...id=1341894808&sr=1-1&keywords=sony+hbh+is+800
Had these for 15 months. They were incredible never fell out while running. They had a ****ty proprietary charger that started giving out towards the end. They met their fate when they fell out of my pocket and I ran them over by mistake. Range was great on this probably about the same as the XBA. Never fell out of my ears even while sprinting.

These were my first pair. Decent but eventually I couldn't charge it because of the cheap micro usb port. Don't remember how good the range was.
http://www.jaybirdgear.com/jf3/bluetooth-headphones-features.html
Got these after the Sony HBH and hated the lack of range, about 15 ft if you had an armband i would recommend these.. Quality was great. Required constant readjusting though.

You know I dont understand why the captivate didnt come with a headset with the volume control/skip-previous control. My brother has an HD2 and I really wish I had that.
for 4 bucks I might bite on those samsung ones as well because I am not a fan of the ones that this came iwth
I suppose it's all relative...
Yeah, I've never been a fan of IEMs. I just use my Yuin PK3s with it. I only listen to music on it, so I don't need a headset.
To be honest, I was impressed with the stock IEMs. For a free set of phones, they don't sound half bad, and they do a good job of blocking out ambient noise. I wear them in bed to listen to something calming when the AC in my room is on (it's super loud). I have yet to use them as a headset, but I've read that the mic is not great. I won't turn my nose up at free stuff if it's good quality.
I also use Yuin PK3s with my Captivate most of the time. They obviously sound leagues better than the Samsung IEMs, but as earbuds don't block any noise.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
I had no issues at all with the cheap stock ones, I wore them on my flight to Vegas from DC for Blackhat/Defcon, cut down on most of the engine/plane noise.
The in the ear headphones are ok. But when in a house with 3 kids under 8 it gets a little dangerous cause I can't hear them.
But in some cases that may be a good thing. Lol.

Please tell if they control song selection, other than just pause, such as skip to next song.
i prefer in ear more than those regular one
it helps a lot when you are in a noisy environment,i.e. subway
you don't need to turn the volume to really high to get the music you wants! better for your ears!
the stock is okay but kind of annoying since it doesn't have the control with it
I actually like the stock headphones, except the thin cable is always winding it'self up.
And I doubt that any $4 pair of earbuds will blow any minds with their sound quality
I was rather impressed with the included IEMs... they have great sound quality, and its nice to see earbuds come with a phone. They even have acceptable low end frequency response (sounds like between 10-20 hz).
I'm a dj (hence my name) so i'm a bit of an audiophile, but I was totally fine going on a run using these as my headphones for pandora (since I can use the button to skip and pause).
doubletap the button on the included headphones to skip to next song
I prefer earbuds. These look pretty comfortable. I ordered a set.

Mine either... how did you guys get this to work on your cappys?
http://www.amazon.com/NuForce-NE-7M...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1282721778&sr=8-1
These are pretty much THE BEST earphones I've ever used!
The sound is perfectly balanced with bass you can pretty much feel
It's very comfortable (Though I'm using them with the sony hybrid silicon tips/comply foam tips)
The microphone is of excellent quality! (No one ever complains about voice quality when I'm talking to them on the phone)
And most importantly to me is that the button works with MixZing to play/pause and skip songs.
These ARE in-ears so most people (like the OP) either don't like them at all, or will have to take some time to get used to them.
Now, I'm not an audiophile, but I have tried other "mid-end" earphones *just to try something new* like the Klipsch S4i, Shure SE115+, Bose In Ear, BEATZ by Dre, and the Sony earphones for the Iphone and I always end up falling back to these. Thankfully Apple has a very good return policy ;D It also helps that the NuForce are about half the price of all of the other brands I listed here
What's also great about these is the company has a VERY good warranty. I've had them sent me a replacement absolutely free a couple times, because of the wires going out due to me mishandling them.
Okay guys I recently ordered these on Amazon since I was in need of Bluetooth headphones. It has 4.5/5 stars on Amazon and for only $50, it wouldn't hurt to try them. Starting off, I really liked the packaging. It was love at first sight

When taken out, these headphones look really really good.
These has a unique design. They headphones are attached to the band that stays around your neck. Just pull them out the socket and put them in your ear. When you're done, put them back in the socket, which connects with a magnet that's on the back part of the ear buds.
They have controls that work well with the phone. They have Play/Pause, Volume Up/Down, Next/Previous and a phone button
The headset itself has its own volumes. You can set the volume for the headset and if its not loud enough or too loud, you can also make it louder or less louder with the volume button on the phones. There is also a bass booster feature that enables when you hold down Volume up and down at the same time and it sounds good for Bluetooth headphones. The only control that doesn't seem to work right is the fast forward/rewind button. It says to hold down the next/previous button to do this. The headphones itself makes the noise that makes it seem like its doing it but the song continues at normal speed. Not a deal breaker. I tried this with Google Music so it might be different with other players. It has a built in mic and I only made one call and the person said they heard me loud and clear. The headset will have its own notification to let you know about the call and the neck band actually vibrates which I think is cool
It comes with an app that reads the message but let me save another long block of text by simply saying: ICS=No Worky.
Another thing is when you have it on, the phone button works like voice commands. I have Vlingo on my phone and it only seems to work right with the In Car feature of Vlingo as everything with that is done by voice but I'm sure that's yet another battery hog.
Also when you pick it up, it feels very light and like it dangles so at first it felt like it could break easily but I'm sure its durable. The ear buds are also sweat proof and water resistant (Im sure read this in the description)
Okay sorry for the long review but I just wanted to get this out there for any one in search of a good Bluetooth set. I know us GNex users suffer battery issues but if you don't mind that or you have great battery life, I HIGHLY recommend these. These are some great Bluetooth ear buds and for $50 with how great it works and looks, you really can't go wrong. Hope this helped someone out there

Well from what I've read the wireless ones has lesser bass than the actual corded ones. I might still get them but with these, I'm almost positive I've found my perfect Bluetooth headphones
I just returned the ibeats earbuds to best buy last week. Those were by far the worst headphones I have ever owned.
I searched the entire market and this is the model that struck me.
Now that you have owned this piece for about 4 months, can you tell us the pros and cons in real usage ??
I am mainly looking at Multipoint connectivity an iPOD and my Galaxy Note at the same time. Is that possible with this model ??
I've had these since at least November. I use them almost every single day at work. I use them while jogging, working out, shopping... basically everywhere.
I bought my sister and her boyfriend each a set for Christmas.
I've said it a few times but these are literally my favorite tech purchase of the year. For wireless they sound excellent. I don't expect audiophile quality out of any wireless equipment, but these did surprise me for the price. The design is superb. I love being able to have one ear bud in at work listening to podcasts while the other bud is safely stored away. The battery will likely outlast your nexus and as long as you plug it in each night you shouldn't have any issues there.
I've had mine for 6 months and they don't seem any worse for the wear. I try to wipe them down after jogging / working out, but other than that they don't get any special treatment.
5/5.
Great. This surely helps me make the decision.
Anything you can say about the multipoint connectivity?

I haven't used multi point much, but it does switch between my MacBook and Galaxy Nexus without problem.
I absolutely love these headphones. They sound great, the battery lasts for quite a few hours, and it works perfectly for calls as well. This is especially great when I travel for work. Because the headset is stereo and goes in both ears, I have no problems tuning airport noises out while on any call.

I bought a pair a month ago. I got then on ebay for $35 & I really love them. I had the motorola's SD-9, those were uncomfortable, sounded weak & the controls stopped responding a couple of month after I bought them. These are very comfy. They sound great with good sound level. I use them with my iPod & HTC OneX. I listen to my audiobooks in the iPod and when I get a call it just pauses the iPod, I do my call and then the iPod resumes. The batery life is awesome, I listen to my iPod all day long without having to stop to recharge. The calls sound loud & clear, the caller hears me clearly without having to raise my voice. These are great!
Bought the updated version of these bluetooth headphones (HBS-730) and they are fantastic.
Thanks for the reviews everyone, guess I found my bluetooth headset
Some Cons
I purchased the HBS-730 and all of the positive reviews are correct. I would like to share two real-world-use concerns.
1) The ear buds have a hole opposite the speaker. I can tell that they enhance the sound quality because when I cover them with my finger, the audio degrades. When I'm running this hole creates a noticeable wooshing sound.
2) These are designed to rest comfortably around your neck. When running, they bounce up and down and bonk against my collar bones. I have attempted to put the front parts under my shirt, but that hasn't worked very well. I may try clipping them to my shirt to keep them from bouncing up.
Has anyone else experienced these issues?
Are there any In-Ear headphones for Under 50 dollars that are decent.
I have been browsing around Amazon.

Thanks!

I have the older version of these and they're some of the best headphones I ever owned and a reasonable price - they produce great sound with my One X and beats profile.
In the UK they won lots of awards in gadget mags/websites for best value in-ear headphones, just google them and i'm sure you'll find 5-star reviews. As these are the new version they're hopefully even better!
Hope that helps.

Did I make a mistake?
I went with the Vmoda-remix as I run durring the summer here and there.
The Vmoda comes with optional clips to put around your ear for running and exercising in general.
I read on New-Egg reviews that Sennheiser CX300 has a slim cable and you can hear it scraping against your shirt while running. I read this in several of the reviews on there.
Overall both seem to have good reviews though.
Hope I made the right decision.

I did a ton of research for good budget earbuds and narrowed it down to the Meelec m9s. They vary in price on amazon from day to day, but you should always be able to get them for under 20$. You can read up about them on the audiophile forums, they all love the M9s. Quality sound, and pretty good build quality. Worth a look.
ok so i lost the earphones that came with my s3 and need new ones. i was looking at the urbeats and the beats tour. should i get either of those or should i just buy the same ones that came with the phone? the beats are $50-$60 on ebay and the samsungs are from $7-$15 on ebay aswell. i already have mods on my phone like beats, dolby, xloud, and srs. so im wondering if i get the samsung if they will be like the beats with the mods.

Try the JVC Xtreme Xplosion Earbuds. I've got a pair of them and I've been pretty satisfied with them. I've got an irregular ear and regular Earbuds and in ears never really worked for me, these stay in my ear with no problems and are very comfortable. The bass is very good almost comparable to my Sony XB-500 (Blow beats studio out of the water.... Just saying) the mids and highs are Allright, they get better as you burn in the ear buds. I think they are really good and I got mine for like $20 shipped.

i got my earphones the other day and i just tried them today and i have to say they suck. they were supposed to be samsung genuine and i cant hear the bass. i compared them to my brothers samsung oem earphones and his sound way better.
dont know if it has anything to do with it saying for samsung galaxy blaze 4g. but they look the same as the ones for the s3.
I personally would avoid Beats like the plague. Yea... they supposedly have nice sound to them (Never had a pair close enough to my head to hear them)... but i wouldn't buy any product made by Monster. Yes... the A/V cable company. The same one that apparently has the ca-hone's to sell people a gold-plated fiber optic audio cable with a straight face.
I'd either go with genuine Samsung earbuds if you liked the way they sounded, or i'd say Sennheiser.

You still using wired headsets come on man the Galaxy 3 support apt-X for CD quality Bluetooth stereo sound. If I were you I would invest the money in Jay birds they have a new 1 call Jay bird sprint phenomenal sound quality. Overpriced, and the sound quality isn't terribly amazing. You pay for the branding essentially.
A good pair of Sennheiser's or the Klipsch s4as will do so much better.
Those are my headphones for music.
Otherwise, I have a couple OEM Samsung's for calls and such, they are nice for the price point. $5-10 on Amazon/eBay.

Beats = Monster. Same deal. You're paying for branding. Could probably get a comparable Sennheiser for far less than... what are they... $180?
Earpods.

I would agree that Beats are not worth the expense. My son has had a pair of in-ear beats and they have not held up at all. I am hopeful that with Beats officially separating from Monster that the quality and value will start to head in the right direction.
yup theres mixed reviews of the beats but they didnt really convince me.

No no, The Turbines has a much clearer sound than the Beats that ive tried.
I really don't get people who say stay away from beats. I have one myself and I do think they're a little overprice for the sound quality but, I think they are the best looking headphones. I don't want to be walking around with some retarded looking headphones on my head. Its all about preference. Just go to your nearest bestbuy try out all the headphones and see which you like the best. I have the Studio's for anybody wondering about em. Here's a pic. And yes you can hate me for it

I'm using the a jays one + sound is decent for its price though. Do try it out at your local stores as some would find seinheisser better sounding.

I'd go for Sennheiser, they have all kind of price levels and even the CX300 sound good.
I really like these. I haven't used the stock s3 ones so I cant compare.. I've used a few other IEM's in the past, nothing really expensive. They also used to be double the price 2 years ago..

i have a bunch of reviews coming in the next few months but I found a real GEM this past week. so much so I bought 4 pairs for myself and some for family for christmas.
I actually bought them on a lark because they were burn your eyeballs nuclear neon orange in color but when I put them on I was truly "shocked" at the quality and depth of the sound especially considering the $10 price tag !!!
You can get them at Big Lots and FYE. they are Polaroid OEM and I have found them in burn your eyes neon orange pink and green as well as bright purple blue black and white.
they are on ear cup style. I would kill for some surround ear cup versions of these but they are surprisingly comfy as well. These are now my "goto" general use headphones. they are just that good and pretty darned nice too. Great build for $10 great sound. NICE fabric sheethed wire and a nice skinny but reinforced jack. very impressive.
trust me. for $10 its worth the gamble to just go out and find out for yourself.
Big lots also has a $20 bluetooth speaker. not "Bad" not great not too much volume without some cracking but hard to beat for $20. DO NOT buy at FYE they have the EXACT same thing but OEM'd memorex for $60. NOT worth $60 but well worth $20 for something to play with at big lots

These sub-$10 IEMs from monoprice are a KILLER value.
Enhanced Bass Hi-Fi Noise Isolating Earphones
Don't take my word for it...
The Monoprice 8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..
I am NOT an IEM fan. they tend to be painful to me (physically) I prefer full size headphones and can tolerate some on ear phones (like the polaroid's but only for so long)
I tend to only be able to tolerate IEM's for any length of time by using the smallest ear plug so they are a "loose" fit but that usually destroys the bass.
but for $9 with that kind of following. WTH I will find out in a few days
I love this guide: http://www.head-fi.org/products/category/headphones
You can pick the kind of headphones you prefer and it shows the best of class and how they are ranked by the head-fi community.

There are some coupon codes for this seller on retailmenot.com for more savings.
I would go with the Audio Technica M30s.

Verzion will have the Klipsch S4A for $50 on Black Fiday

i have Klipsch buds and love them!! would def purchase again
You shouldn't pay more than $30 for great earbuds
I've been selling earbuds for years now and I know pretty much all there is to know about them. It's the one product that people tend to buy over and over again because they lost or broke their old ones. People also tend to over spend and buy ones that are flashy like the Beats brands, even though they aren't as good as cheaper ones. You shouldn't spend more than $30 for a good set. Make sure the frequency range is at least between 12 and 22,000 hertz. Make sure the cord is 4 feet long. Make sure they are comfortable and at the same time wont fall out easily. A single driver setup will sound good, yes they sound a little better with a multi driver setup but it's not worth the extra $100. Frugal5.com does a good job explaining this, they list the best 5 for the money to be:
#1 Sony MDREX10LP/BLU In-Ear - $12
#2 JVC HAFX1X Xtreme-Xplosivs - $17
#3 JVC HAFX40B Carbon Nanotube Coated - $18
#4 Panasonic RP-HJE350-K SLIMZ - $20
#5 Philips SHE6000/28 In-Ear Surround Sound - $22
