Hello!
I've just rooted my arc and I'm currently using ICS 4.0.4. As in gingerbread I have installed root uninstaller to remove my "favorite" bloatware and I cannot uninstall these apps:
Let's Golf!
Playnow
Chinese keyboard
And some more
It really don't understand the problem because these apps are not in /system/app (and they are working)!
Edit: these apps are in /system/vendor/app in read-only mode :/
Thanks for your help!
I have the same problem dude and it sucks can somebody help

I used Root Explorer to go to /system/vendor/app, chose 'mount R/W' on the top and removed those apps without any problem.

In my system folder there is no subdirectory /vendor/app...
Maybe I have to download root explorer - paid version?

You can also try using system cleanup app free on the play store.

My suggestions:
Titanium Backup: backup/restore app + app data + many more in Pro version
Mobile Odin app: on-device flashing for Samsung phones and tablets
TraingleAway app: remove yellow triangle and reset flash counter for Samsung phones and tablets
BBS: BetterBatteryStats need root for Alarm and Network stats
Terminal Emulator: Needs root for SU commands
Root Checker: checks if your Phone is rooted properly
Voltage Control: check and change min./max. CPU freq and available voltages for all freq when running on a compatible kernel
Elixir Widgets: need root for some nice system toogles/actions
ES File Explorer: needs root for mounting the system partitions for read/write access
My only addition to the list mentioned above, would be ROM Toolbox Pro.
It's pretty much all the essential root apps you'll need, plus a ton more features.
Gotta be the best root user app there is.
And even though it costs a few quid, it really is worth every penny.
P.S. This thread will be getting moved by a mod because it's in the wrong section

A contribution from my side check out this one too:
Root Explorer (File Manager)
Features include SQLite database viewer, Text Editor, create and extract zip or tar/gzip files, extract rar archives, multi-select, execute scripts, search, remount, permissions, bookmarks, send files (via email, bluetooth etc), image thumbnails, APK binary XML viewer, change file owner and group.
a paid app but I've found it very usefull.

Just in addition:
10. Tasker: app to create rules based on triggers for automation some actions
And I can't seem to remove either of them. Is there something I need to do to remove? Probably will remove superuser

Either delete one via a file browser (root explorer, ES file explorer, etc.) or uninstall one with Titanium. Pretty basic stuff man.
Also, this should be in the Q & A section not in themes and apps.
Remove superuser.apk from system/app directory and reboot

use sd maid to remove one of them (find it on playstore) then open the open you want to use and install the new binaries and you wont have to worry youll just have one super user working!

Hi M users, can anyone recommend a good permission manager? One that's easy to use, has a decent UI etc?
I used to use LBE privacy guard, but that reboots my phone. I think that is maybe related to root issues?
Searching for "permissions" in Google Play is a nightmare...half of the list is games, nothing to do with app permission management. Many of them list permissions and not edit them either.
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=permission&c=apps
Use root explorer or es file explorer...
Sent from my C2004 using Tapatalk
I tried ES file explorer, it didn't have permission management, only uninstall ability.
There's one benefit of non-Google ROMs I suppose!
I tried a few but most were just explorers. I will post if I find a good one.
Have you tried root explorer...
Sent from my C2004 using Tapatalk
I find that Advanced Permission Manager can do that
For me the best option is installing Xposed Framework then using App Settings module...
Personally, i think root browser is no1
