I have a problem...
Every notification is working fine, just the one for low battery is not working.
Tried it with LED setting in SGS3 menu on and off, also changing the color has no effect.
Curious: Test mode for low battery works with every color, but live it doesn't.
Any suggestions? Did I miss something in settings?
Edit: Also notification does not work with the low battery setting ...
Cheers

Hi,
My automatic brightness setting just leaves the brightness exactly on what it was before. E.g If I manually put slider to max, and turn on automatic brightness it stays on max (even if in a dark room), and if I put it minimum and go outside or shine a torch on it, it doesn't go higher at all.
I'm not sure when this first started happening, it always used to, I'm running ARHD 5.1.11 (a ginger-sense rom), with golauncher ex. I can't think what's causing it. Elixir says that the sensor is working (the numbers adjust as I put light on the sensor).
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Not a direct fix for your problem but I downloaded OnOff Widget Pack. This has a great brightness control. Running Auto Brightness for most situations seems to be a drain on the battery.
Does anyone know why when I turn off auto brightness, my screen gets so much brighter? Even if I have brightness set as low as it can go, it still seems alot brighter than it should be. Which must kill the battery.

If you'd like to compare battery life between the two theres apps for it
But as its been said, better for the battery to have the light a little brighter than constantly be changing.
If you're rooted, Rootdim (search the Market, I can't post links yet) allows you to power down the backlight below the lowest option in Display Settings. It's nice for using the phone in the dark or with a bedside lamp and should minimise battery use if you've got auto-brightness turned off as well.
The only worry is the reviewer on the Market who said its lock option kept the backlight on (at a dim setting) after shutting the screen off on his Droid Bionic but I can't say I've noticed that on my Play.
Thanks, that Rootdim is what I needed.
I tried setting it to MAX, who in the hell needs it that high?! I didn't even know it could go that high, make it a white screen and you've got a flashlight!
I have tried a couple of custom rom, when i use the old Oppo Firmware my notification light is just rapidly flashing when i get a notification and while charging the light just light up, but the preview of the speed and length works fine.
But if i use the newest Oppo Firmware Notification light works, but then i can't get my devices to Deep Sleep with DS Battery Saver Pro.
So it's like if i want notification light to work properly i need to run COS or have custom rom with horrible battery life, ain't it possible to have custom rom with working notification light?
I was just wondering if anyone here has had luck with lightflow in getting notifications to work.
Currently I can either enable the notification light, and all it does is blink green (despite no notifications), or turn it off. Testing with lightflow resulted in, what seems like, no changes. I know there might not be a large range of colours, but it would be nice to control the notification LED.
It didn't work with any app available, I can't not understand why...maybe the led is not capable of showing more than two or three colors?
The number of colours isn't really an issue. For example, the Nexus S blinked the Home, Menu and back buttons. As long as it can be controlled it would be nice, but it doesn't seem to be able to do it.
I've been aware that I see the notification light even if there are no notifications
Hello,
1/ The blue notification light is not working on my S9, red is working when charging, green is also working when the charge is full but the blue light is only working when i reboot not on notifications, I have of course all notifications enabled.
2/ i always have to type several times (2 to 4 times) on the configuration icon to gain access to the configuration menu.
Does anyone has the same issues?
Yes my new S9 notification light never flashes when there has been a message notification.
The LED indicator in display settings is turned ON.
Is there another setting to adjust or is it a software bug?

Yes, it's probably a software bug, as i tried everything i read over the web and nobody seems to have the solution to solve that problem.
Yesterday i thought it would be fine because i received a software update from Samsung but it's even worse because it take now from 1 to +4 hours for my emails to reach my phone (gmail) and still no led indicator.
I hope the next upgrade will take care of this sutiation.
are either of you having network issues 4-5 a day i have to restart my phone to connect to the network.
