Hey guys is the htc one v 4g lte?? I was fiddling around with the apn's and i found this under bearer:
NO!
HTC One V doesn't support 4G.
It's just LTE. Not 4G LTE.
What
But doesn't LTE essentially mean 4g?!
What?>??
The One V does not have an LTE radio. How did you get to that screen? What happens when you select LTE? Do your speedtests change? And yes, LTE is considered 4G.

Should be:
Settings -> Mobile Data -> Access Point Names -> "Select APN"
BTW: I dont have a section "Bearer" there
Regards
max
Go to settings>Mobile Network>Access point Names>(Click on any apn you see there)> Last option is Bearer.
And btw, when i select LTE and try to connect, it shows: 'Coneection failed'

Look, there's no use of talking about 4G on One V...
HTC One V doesn't support 4G.

Yes, but what the hell does that pic mean anyway? and when i select lte why does it show connection failed? C'mmon dude, how can you leave it like that?
The One V does not support LTE. Your question has already been answered, this thread can be closed.
As for the picture, that would appear to be a result of modifications made to your phone. Maybe you should have provided more details about your phone and any changes made to it.

I think that's just a part of the settings in ICS... 'Cause phones like Galaxy Nexus support 4G. HTC probably forgot to remove the LTE Option.
I think it is 4g acording to these specs anyway

HTC One V support for LTE i mean 4G network but i dont have 4 G supported network to Test

It also says it has a digital compass. Those specs can not be trusted.

ONE V can't use LTE i think
Sterday I contacted htc
Dear Solai,
Thank you for contacting HTC.
With reference to your query, only the HTC One XL has the 4G capability on phone. LTE option on some HTC phone can only detect 4G data service, however, once the 4G network was lost your data connection will lost as well not unless you will change it to again. Not like the 4G capable phone that even the 4G network is not available it will automatically search for the available network in the area.

What data speeds does the one x get on T-Mobile.

The only speeds you'll be able to pick up on T-Mobile with the One X will be Edge. Since the One X doesn't have T-Mobiles 3G data bands. Unless you are some on the few lucky cities that has the newly updated T-Mobile towers with the same 3G bands as AT&T.

Is there a way to check where the new updated bands are? Also is there any version of the one x at all that gets at least T-Mobile 3g?

As far as I've heard there are a few cities in California that have been upgraded there might be a thread on here about I know tmobile plans on having the upgrade completely finished by early 2013, and as for OneXs being compatible some are saying that the OneXL is compatible with T-Mobiles 700/1900 AWS band but it will take some configuring with the radio for it to work.
is this whats causing my problem?
i have the one x international version and i can't get any data..i put the t-mobile APN configuration in and no cigar..would this be whats causing the issue?
Heads up if you are currently using the HTC One X on TMO but are considering switching to Straight Talk.
I just purchased their $45 plan plus paid the $15 for the ATT Micro SIM and am not able to get connected to Straight Talk. As others have mentioned, their CS does not know what they are doing, i.e.: The CS rep told me he needed to transfer me to the correct department and I asked what department that was and his comment was "our Department that handles ATT Micro SIM issues using a Non Straight Talk phone"
So if you are considering this don't cancel your TMO account immediately...
Good luck...oh and by the way, this phone is SWEEEEEEEEET!!!
So even the global one won't get 4g or H speeds on t-mobile? isnt it different from the Att version band wise? I am thinkin about getting this or One s

Nope the global one won't get tmobile speeds cause it only have the upload band for tmobiles 4G and not the download for it to work on tmobile it has to have the 1700/2100 AWS band. And the main difference band wise on the the international version and AT&T XL is that the international lacks a LTE card.
I have the international one x and I am on T-mobile I get like 5 mb which is very good for me

He's probably roaming on AT&T's 1900mhz
San Diego must be one of the cities where T-Mobile is sharing AT&Ts band.

We're talking about Tmobile in the US.
Hi everyone right now I have a HTC one s but I want to trade it for HTC one x Att version. But ill be on tmobile and I hear that the data will be on edge . So is it true and if it is. Can you make it go faster. Is it worth trading? Help will be greatly appreciated

Correct. Edge aka 2g data is all you will get for now. [IF YOU ARE ABLE TO OBTAIN AN OLDER MICROSIM, IF NOT, NO DATA FOR YOU]
You see, T Mo USA uses their 1900 MHz PCS band exclusively for 2g traffic. 3g data (HSPA) and "4g" (HSPA+) is used in the 1700/2100 AWS bands.
T Mobile is reframing their 3g and HSPA+ to the 1900 MHz band and will have true 4g (4th generation) LTE on those 1700/2100 AWS frequencies (previously used for 3g).
I have the international One X on T Mobile USA and am patiently waiting for the network to modernize their infrastructure. Supposedly, between now and the end of the year.

And I believe this is the Quad-Core section, not the Dual-Core as in the AT&T One X.
I believe it will still be on edge only until T-Mobile makes the switch to 3g on the 1900 band and I think with the att one x has the same situation that you have to use the older T-Mobile micro sim to get edge to work I also came from the one s and data is not working for me.

If you get the full size mini Sim then cut it down that should work.
I've been using the One X Global on T-Mo and it hasn't bothered me one bit. You could probably save some moolah and drop down to the 250mb/month plan.

Guys, the HTC One X(L) (neighter of them) will work with T Mobile's current 3g bands (AWS 1700/2100). You will only get Edge/2g data-REGARDLESS of SIM card.
HOWEVER, T Mobile USA is currently restructuring their network to provide 3g data and 3g+ data (what they currently call "4g") to the 1900 MHz band which our One X and MANY other phones (in and out of the US) use for 3g data.
So, my friend, you WILL get 3g data at some point, however when that will be is unknown. According to press releases (available on T Mobile's website), are investing 4 billion to make this happen. Also consider that there are a few cities reporting 3g speeds on their iPhone's and so it is happening. I have spoken to T Mobile and they are telling me it is simply a matter of time.:fingers-crossed:

I couldn't find any confirmation on whether the HTC One can run on the AWS spectrum. Verizon's site just says 4G LTE - 700MHz, so I'm guessing that it does not?

Nope. They simply don't want you to know it. As far as I know Verizon will active it on htc one with software update. Correct me if i'm wrong.
I'm running a straight talk SIM in my Verizon htc one. Only get edge data although Verizon says it has umts and the 1900 bands. Not sure if anything has to be done to get anything better. Pop that SIM inside my droid DNA and I get hspa speeds.

When I gave ATT the IMEI number they said it is showing up as a 3G phone...Anyone getting LTE?
If att uses 700mhz LTE in your area then you will not get LTE since this phone does not work on that frequency
i recently purchased the Z1 compact and i have to say the LTE for it is spotty depending on where i am. Also, I'ved noticed that the phone shuts down data when connected to my wifi at home.
I am using StraightTalk (ATT service) and get LTE in places. Someone said ATT uses two bands and only one is compatible. Yes the data turns off when on wifi.. I think.

The same problem is getting me as well. According to the Network provider(WaridTel Pakistan) this model of HTC One M8 is not supported in Pakistan or Carrier Lock something even the LTE option is appearing in network modes. Meanwhile 3G and edge is working perfectly.
