But my ARC don't unlock bootloader And I still warranty
And my Arc not power on only vibrate

try flashing a .62 build if your phone is on .42 build (or reverse) that would reset your phone to stock
if that doesnt work, then search your problem on XDA

Try flashing the Stock ICS, if that doesn't work then you'll know if your phone has a serious issue.

I have a similar issue. Are you using the MicroSD card that came with the phone? I have suspicions on using different flash memory cards. Testing that theory for a few days with JJ Hybrid 3.1 ROM. If it does not hang for a few days I will put my 32GB Samsung card back in and see if it hangs again.

[Q] Black screen/No boot animation when turning on

I got my Xperia Play yesterday and straight out of the box there has been boot animation or anything when I turn the phone on, the only indication I have that anything has happened is a slight vibration. The screen will stay black until I press home, but it's guesswork as to when the phone has booted. I think this issue might be stopping me getting into CWM recovery but I can't be sure. Ideas anyone?
Repair/update the firmware via Sony Ericsson Update Service (NOT Sony Ericsson PC Companion).
or you can flash it using flashtool and grabbing the ftf file
Have gone through the firmware repair/update; still nothing when booting.
@biggyhead; could you point me in the direction of a guide on how to do what you mentioned please?
Flashing via flashtool will have the same effect as using SEUS to flash (if it is infact flashing) , seems like a faulty unit, return it and get a replacement.
If you still want to proceed:
Flashtool here(may void your warranty if Sony decide to be extra annoying and check your firmware version) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351299
Neccessary ftf file can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1589399
Can't take it back, it was the only one they had left!
I'll try that method, thanks for your help!

[Q] No Boot

Just to say that this is my first post on the ENTIRE FORUMS . Hopefully I'll get to meet some of the devs on here as well as the normal community users .
Previously, I had a Xperia Neo port of ICS on my Xperia Play- it worked perfectly fine but was pretty laggy, so I decided to downgrade to the original Gingerbread OS.
The downgrade (via Flashtool) worked perfectly and the problems only started after an OTA (Over The Air) update arrived. I clicked 'Update', it went through the normal shutdown and install stages but never booted back up. After this, I could only get into flashmode and not fastboot mode so I could not simply reflash the boot.img to make it boot again. I went back into Flashtool and reflashed the firmware that I used to downgrade with, and it didn't work and the phone stayed off.
I did some research on this and apparently the OTA update stops the phone from booting if it's rooted, it linked to a patch (.ftf firmware) that said it will solve the problem but will relock the bootloader (and unroot it, replacing the DRM files so it will boot). After this, the phone does not vibrate when the power button is pressed, it just flashes the LED red three times. I've tried flashing different firmwares and now the flashmode cuts out (usually in the middle of flashing system.sin- don't know if this might be the result of a corrupted partition) AND to top that I can only get it to flashmode if I keep the battery out for a little while between flashes, it never goes to flashmode by unplugging the USB and plugging it back in again.
What I want to ask is, because the bootloader is locked again, Sony can't detect that it's been rooted once before, right? Also, because of the suspected corrupted partition, Sony can't access any logs and should just replace the phone under warranty (it's a year old next month), right?
Sorry for the n00bz questions, I just don't want to send it to Sony (It's already been booked in for a repair) and they reply that the warranty isn't valid because they somehow found out that it's been rooted once before- it costs £10 for them to send it back:victory:!
UPDATE:
If I leave the phone plugged in, it sometimes tries to boot (Sony Ericsson logo comes onto the screen) but a phone and an exclamation mark comes on the screen. After five seconds or so, the phone reboots.

Yeah... could be. It was on something like 20% when I flashed it back to Gingerbread yesterday and it wasn't on charge during the update so it might have lost charge which in turn failed the update.
Will report back when I've charged it up a bit (half an hour should get it to around 30%).

It now stays on the flashmode which is a good sign- thanks for the battery tip !
However, it's still not booting and it's not going to the screen with the phone and exclamation mark since I tried to flash with the R800x firmware. I'm giving myself until around 11:00AM tomorrow otherwise I'm putting the normal default firmware on it and sending it in for repair.
Reflash a ftf file or update using seus if you got a locked bootloader (I suppose you don't have already), that works for me when I got exclamation mark too.
try re-lock youre bootloader alreasy?
i attach the ftf file, after that repair youre phone using pc companion.
i hope it helps you boot again
EDIT:
Please refer to this tutorial where i got it
[Tutorial] Relock bootloader!
Thanks all for helping- it seemed to be a battery issue here where I think something made the battery drain really quickly.
I didn't make anything better when the battery cut out when it was flashing half way- I think this might of been the reason for the phone with the exclamation mark.
I let it charge for a bit and was really surprised when I saw 'Sony Ericsson' on the screen and even more so when the boot animation came up!
It's now been reflashed with Doomkernel and GTA finally works great on it at 1.4GHZ .
Thanks to you all for your suggestions- really appreciated .

Before attempting to flash, try this:
Remove the battery and put it back
Boot to CWM
Clear Dalvik Cache
Boot to system
I did face similar issue couple of times after flashing Ultimate Xperia HD and another ROM. But both times, clearing Dalvik Cache by booting to CWM and then booting to system did the trick. Try it out.

[Q] Xperia ZL Loops on Sony Logo (Tried Everything)

Hello everyone
I have been a silent follower of xda from past 4 to 5 years and never had to ask for help
as I could figure out my way through when i get stuck untill now
My Xperia ZL loops on Sony Logo
My phone does enter FLASHMODE and FASTBOOT mode and im able to flash ftf Firmware without any errors in flashtool
but when it asks to unplug and restart my phone i get the same loops
I have tried yellow button Soft reset (stays in a loop after reboot)
i have tried yellow button Hard reset (Powers off after 3 vibrations)
I gave it to sony service here in India(Hyderabad) they are suggesting me to replace the motherboard which costs 24,000 INR/-(Seriously?)
i bought the phone 2 years back for 29,000 INR/- and now they want me to pay 75% of the price I strongly believe they follow their blind
rules of pushing the customer to go for motherboard replacement if they are not able to revive the phone after basic software flashing
but i still believe i can recover my phone if all the gurus out here can help me out
The phone still didnt go dead till now(some battery left may be still looping) ill try once again if the battery dies completely
EDIT:1
Tried flashing New 5.02 lollipop ftf, after successful flashing with no errors
unplugged it and tried to turn it on
Now red LED flashes 3 times but the device doesnt start
connected it to a wall charger and now i can see the kernel charging screen with battery symbol showing the charging
after some 7% charging indicated i tried to start the phone and the same inevitable loops with sony logo come back
Just plug it in and let it charge for a couple of hours, if it still bootloops, try Sony's Flashtool EMMA. I know people say it's ****, but it fixed my phone when I was in the same position as you.

Have you even tried to flash any .img file containing TRWP using flashtool? plus, when connecting the USB cable, use the white button under the cover to turn it off, then on, instead of the normal power button. After these steps, flash a NEW .ZIP rom Usin TRWP

sony service centre ! They never do repair on z series. If it's in warranty drop it on service centre .they will give you a refurbished phone.
IF warranty is over you can ask them .But i m 100% sure they don't do repair as many other countries.Depends where you live.
you can do it on your own @ your own risk.Remember battery is slightly glued underneath the screen.
Always remember to order battery with that cables and connection.
Sorry for long reply .But in this kind of matters we are frustrated & you don't want to waste money & our phones.
use button
use the tiny button beside sdcard press that untill 3 times vibrate and hold button vol down in flasmood mode
Try boot with USB cable connected to 1.5A+ charger with good cable.
No Hope guys tried everything im pretty sure its battery problem but the service center guys dont want to listen to me at all
all they want me to do is get it replaced for a new phone for 24,000 INR (360$) are you kidding me? for a Xperia ZL
Im even ready to give away the phone if someone wants to help me out
I have the same problem with my ZL. Service center refused to replace the battery, so I asked someone else to do it. That however didn't fix the problem. When I push at the back between the flashlight and XPERIA the phone will switch off. When I disconnect the battery and connect it again it will start-up again. I removed the screw below the camera module, as fastening that one also made the phone turn off. There is something wrong with the motherboard. I always had my phone in a flip case and it didn't even have a single scratch on it. First time it went of was while making a video. Possibly overheating caused this problem or damaged a circuit at the motherboard. Very disappointed, phone was just 2 month out of warranty, first time off was within but that doesn't count.

I was in the same boat as you with my refurbished ZL. Flashed anything, doesn't boot. Then battery full drained and only red light. Service told me it's motherboard circuit. I didn't lesten them, bought cheap battery and replaced it by myself: and Xperia worked like a charm but only 3 months ))) New (cheap) battery got trouble on GPS route suddenly. And phone worked only with power cord connected, shutdown without. New battery will again fix it )
