Ok so I bought some apps from the market when I was running miui and now that I flashed a new rom those games have disappeared I'm not sure if there is a way to get them back or not but I'm not worried about it. How can I save the new ones I pay for that way when I flash a new rom they will be there??

Anything u purchase or download should be saved under my apps on the play store.
I personally use titanium backup pro to keep all my apps backed up.

+1 titaniumbackup is worth it... get the paid version. ou can do a batch back up, set up a backup schedule and restore apps that you have deleted as long as you have a backup of it. one of the 1st apps i bought and iv never regretted it,
As stated the apps you buy will always be available in the market for re-download but I would suggest at minimum the free version of Titanium Backup. It doesn't have all the features enabled but it will still do the job nicely and will also back up the data in the apps.. You can also D\L ES File Explorer and use the App Manager there to back up just the apps but no data in said apps.
All of your apps (paid and free) should be listed in the market when you hit Menu >> My apps. Personally, I don't recommend restoring all your apps using TB etc. I think it's better to just start fresh and download them again.
However, I do like to backup data with TB (My Backup Pro also good for this). I find there are cases where I do want to restore data for an app.
Wanted to throw an idea out there. Titanium Backup and Mybackuproot take up space, I backup all apps thru attachments on my gmail account. Just log in to account and download, however, cannot backup data this way, but just throwing it out there.

I'm looking for the best possible solution to backup my apps and apps settings (Handcent Gmail, etc) so when I flash a new rom I'm able to open up the app thats already configured relativity head ache free.
Is this something apps 2 sd would do?
MYBACKUPPRO, TITANIUM BACKUP, ASTRO FILE MANAGER, etc etc - Just search the market for "backup" and google the diff apps to see the features of each.

dunno about mybackup pro but titanium backup donate has gotten me out of some stupid situations before. It does the apps / data / system data all seperate and lets you restore each or all at once...going to and from CM6 and keeping two roms updated to play around with has never been easier.
Titanium backup. Back up app+data.
If you are going to a new rom and not the same rom it is best to install the apps fresh and not install the apps using Titanium back up. The apps that are saved are saved with the first roms settings and sometimes just the littelest diffrence could cause all sorts of issues leading to FC's or something else.

Didn't know Ti had this issue but MyBackup Pro doesn't. I've flashed different roms to test (always gone back to Fresh because it's just my preferred) and MBPro has always restored apps+data with no issues. The newest version finally doesn't list SU, which always gave me errors back then until I figured not to restore it. Anyways, Ti and MBPro are both great options.
Have used titanium backup in the past but find that restorations can sometimes fail. Can anyone recommend an app solely for app backup and restoration which saves all saved game data as well ?

Use my backup root, its the free version of my backup pro.
I prefer it over titanium as it has never let me down.

i use titanium backup pro you can restore after a wipe very easily all automatic of course you have to reconsider that you can't use files from froyo for gingerbread its natural i think
Probably obvious addition to thread - I use Titanium Backup Pro - remember to restore app AND data. I've never had any issues.
Titanium Pro of course! Never had any problems when restoring Userapps + data this way.
For me the main difference between free and pro is the option, that with free you have to enter every app and system data manually, whereas pro does this automatically. So if you do not flash roms very often, titanium backup free is sufficient.
When I tried "My backup root" it didn't re-install any paid apps.
When I used "Titanium PRO" I used the one bundled with the ROM I flashed, which wasn't current, and was different from the one I backed up with, and I had FCs. So make sure you always download the latest, even when it's bundled. Oh, and I had to reboot before the changes it made were applied.
There can be problems with reapplying system data from one ROM to another ROM, so in that case, just do the apps.
Alternatively, use appbrain to keep a list of apps

I use MBP which I find really good except that it does not backup Wireless Keys and Account info. Does Titanium do this?
I've read I need to restore from a titanium backup and it'll will stick as default keyboard.
I haven't backed up before so I'm wondering if these steps is the right one?
1. install swiftkey.
2. backup using titanium
3. uninstall swiftkey.
4. restore from titanium backup?
Is this correct? How do I link my backup back to my Playstore acct so I get the updates?

How safe is it to restore all my app from titanium? I've become a ROM maniac and installing 20-30 apps all the time gets old pretty quickly.

Just user apps though. Dont try system apps. It should be obvious why
I've restored and backup a plethora times using TB never run into any issues. One of the best rooted applications I can't live without!

Is there any app that can restore all apps+data where I don't need to re-download and re-organize my apps all over again? I came from iOS and iTunes pretty much restores my phone and all the apps exactly the way I had it if I were to switch to a new iOS device. I was hoping android could do the same. For example I have apps in folders but when I keep flashing roms and I try to restore my backups I never get all my apps restored and I even have to download lots of apps all over again. I have the paid Titanium Backup Pro, MyBackUp Pro, Rom ToolBox Pro and I've used TWRP.
All of those apps will do that. I have both titanium and rom toolbox. I prefer titanium. It's fast and let's me backup and restore sms/mms too

I use Titanium Pro to batch backup then restore APPS and APP Data. Works great with about 100 or so apps I have on my device.
Then only SYSTEM data I restore is call logs/messages.
Sorry I wasn't clear. I am saying that those apps that I have paid for I have also used and not a single one will do a mirror restore after I flash a rom. Even if I go back to stock rom and restore I still have to download old apps and almost always have to remake every page and folder. What I am asking is if there is an app or program like iTunes that can do a mirror restore where all the hard work doesn't have to be repeated every time I flash a new rom?

Some launchers (I use Nova) have a backup/restore for your layout so you don't have to keep redoing it. Is that what you mean? Placement of your widgets, folders, and apps and such?
I use titanium backup and it restores everything for me. After flashing, download titanium and run batch restore. Mine even sets up nova how I had it. Titanium works, I use it almost every day. I flash alot and only clean flash. I can have my phone all set up in like ten minutes.

Hi all, I'm switching from Verizon to T-Mobile. After hours of searching, bricking, then recovering my HTC One (don't try flashing a T-Mobile radio to a VZW phone...) I've come to the conclusion I need to buy a T-Mobile HTC One.
I have my device set up the way I like it, with custom launcher, the way things are arranged, etc. Is there an easy way to clone my Verizon One to the T-Mobile One I eventually buy? Without having to reinstall everything and reconfigure all the settings? Thanks.
Use titanium backup to make a backup of all your personal apps and data (do not backup system apps or vzw apps). Then, copy your backup folder on your sd card from titanium backup to your pc. Once you get your t-mo one rooted. Install titanium backup and move your previous backup to the t-mo one. If you have titanium paid you can actually store your backup to a cloud and then download that backup to your new device. Hope that helps. That's how I've been doing things for years. I had a nexus 7 I setup the same way.

Might want to look into the built in htc backup and restore feature built into the one.

That may be how I try doing it. Any ideas on how to transfer a few gigs of music and movies between the two? Without an SD card, I can't think of a way to do it faster than transferring it all to a cloud or computer.

That is probably your only option. You might even use your pc to put all your music and data into a zip. I have had trouble in the past transferring that much off of the phone not zipped up.

You could also use an app called Nandroid Manager https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.h3r3t1c.bkrestore. It allows you to restore apps and their data from a nandroid backup, along with many other things.

Also just an fyi there is another cool app called Online Nandroid Backup https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.h3r3t1c.onnandbup, which allows you to do a nandroid backup while still booted to the os. No need to boot to recovery. The only reason i mention it is that the two apps kind of go together and link to each other from within the apps.
