I am happy to present to you the guide to root your VirginMobile One V.
REQUIREMENTS
VM One V
Bootloader Unlocked (guide here)
Basic knowledge and good reading skills
So 2 VM One V users had problems rooting their phones and then it was proved that their software was different. So, I modified the kernel ramdisk to include the SuperSU files and other files to help root VM One V
I had to just add few lines of code and transfer a few file here and there.
INSTRUCTIONS:
UNLOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER
Download the zip file and extract it to your Desktop or something.
Put your phone into fastboot mode(Vol Down + Power and then with volume buttons scroll to fastboot and press power button)
If on Windows open ---windows.bat file
If on Mac open ---mac.sh
And If on Linux open ---linux.sh
Let it do it's thing
Scroll down with Volume buttons and Reboot
Your phone will now be rooted.
If you have problems with WiFi just reboot and it will be fixed

Get Red and White HTC screen
Hey I tried your process no go for me. I unlocked my bootloader with no errors HBOOT says Unlocked at the top. S-on. I can fastboot flash a custom recovery. I even used yours .img file and flashed it but everytime I boot out of hboot and try to go into recovery. Instead of a custom recovery I get a white HTC screen with red lettering that says that this is used for development use only. I have rooted many phones and fixed gotten out of many jams on phones. This one has me at a loss. Any help would be appreciated.

I was in fastboot when I did it. I followed your directions to the letter. I understand that your .bat file is supposed to install the custom recovery then push supersu.apk and this roots the phone. What I get when I start the process I boot phone into fastboot then plug in USB run the .bat. the cmd window finds the phone it starts the process tries to go into recovery to push supersu it comes up to the white screen with red lettering I will post a picture of the screen if you need it. After 30 seconds or so the phone boot as normal.
So what I did was again boot into fastboot then manually go to cmd. I pushed your .IMG file manually and tried to boot into recovery where I can install supersu from a .zip file. Still no luck there same issue.
I think I will run the latest suu and try to root again.
Let me know if you want the screen shots.

VIrgin CDMA on Reliance CDMA
Thanks dude for this post! Really helped me unlock my HTC ONE V (virgin CDMA) device through your method. I was successful in getting the MEID, MSN and the reliance number registered on this device. Well i am writing this cause now i have a strange problems, and i wish to share with you for your insight and help
1. The calls get cut within 2 Sec of dialing.
2. Even though i am able to send and receive SMS, the device still displays "virgin mobile" in the network operator field.
3. Under network type: it shows CDMA - 1xRTT. I guess this has to be 3G or at least 2G?
Kindly help me to get this fixed would appreciate any form of help.
Thanks

Rooting/unlocking the phone wouldn't cause these problems. Also, isn't it supposed to say Virgin Mobile? After all, it is a Virgin Mobile phone.

I was wondering if somebody would be willing/interested in working on a port of MIUI for the Verizon variant of the HTC One. It's my favorite ROM, and I know that it's been created for other variants of the HTC One as seen here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2352742&highlight=miui
Would anybody else be interested in this? Thanks for looking!:good:

Does anyone know anything about MIUI coming to the Verizon HTC One? Ive been waiting for this for a while. I saw some beta testers were wanted a few weeks ago, but I can't find much.
as always, that the installation of custom ROMs and flashing your device is risky business and we always recommend that you backup your data prior to playing around with the firmware. If you’re still that you want to give MIUI a try on your HTC One device, head over here and download the ROM file that you need and follow these simple instructions:
Push zip file to sdcard or Download on phone.
Reboot to recovery.
Wipe data (Factory Reset)
Flash ROM.
Reboot.

I've been doing some research recently and from the looks of it there still hasn't been a build made for the Verizon HTC One. I tried two builds for the HTC One and was able to get them to boot but only briefly and with some issues. The main one being that wifi and sim wouldn't activate, also got numerous random reboots within seconds of booting. (Longest it went without rebooting was maybe a minute tops)

The Verizon m7 was released like 6 months after the other variants, and that is when the majority of the major development occurs. To this day some of the most popular Roms are still not available. The m8 was released at the same time this time so it should receiver support from all the major developers.
I'm sorry, I might be in the wrong forum but since there's no ONE XL lol. So I bought this ONE XL from Hong Kong and I'm in Mexico. I got the phone and everything was great until it prompted me to update my software so I clicked yes, it updated to 4.1 something with sense 4+ and then it prompted me to update again so I clicked yes. Thing is it updated to 4.2.2 with sense 5. Everything was good until I realized I could access my phone as storage divice so I can't transfer file in or out of it. There is no CONNECT TO PC option. And another thing, it erased the SPANISH phone language (i need it because i share the phone with my gf). So I did some research and found out about morelocale 2 which would allow me to add Spanish back again but turns out I need SU access. So I thought it would be much easier to just flash a rom and use something with 4.0.3 again. The phone was already sim-unlocked and with S-OFF so all I did was unlock the bootloader but when I flash a recovery like clorckwork or twrp it goes to a white HTC SCREEN LOGO and in red letters thes this "this build is made for development purposes only...." and then it reboots like 3 times and starts the phone up normal again. Anyone knows what can I do? Or what am I doing wrong? Thanks.
Sorry about the long explanation.
There is HTC one XL forum. (AT&T, Rogers) go there
And yes jellybean doesn't support UMS anymore, only MTP.

A couple of months ago I asked if there was an upgrade path to the latest update for a non rooted completely stock Verizon HTC One. The phone belongs to my mom who uses it on Ultra Mobile. Is there anyway to upgrade it to Kitkat. Right not it's on 4.2 Jellybean.

Well, this method used to work.
It may be that s-off is required to accomplish this now.
I can't really say for sure, as I haven't had a device that stayed s-on for more then a few days at most.

Thanks for trying anyways. Greatly appreciated. I guess my mom will stay on 4.2.2 for the foreseeable future.
Just updating for any future users who may come across the thread. The solution to my initial issue is as follows:
For those not on Verizon you can still update by using HTC sync. After installing HTC Sync and connecting your phone, it will prompt you for an available upgrade. Follow the onscreen instructions and the phone will be updated to whatever the latest update is.

So HTC knew I went from 4.x.x.x (while unlocked and s-off with root) down to 2.x.x.x to update to the newest through the app before going s-off and they took my phone to swap out. Cracked screen replacement. Sometimes they know but don't check.

Hi guys. I have a problem with my M8 (international).
Start topic was here http://forum.xda-developers.com/att...-boots-fastboot-factory-t2952954#post57042833 but I took an advice and open the same topic in general theme.
Hi everyone. I got a problem with my HTC M8.
First of all, I didn't make with it any changes (as unlock bootloader, root or installing any custom OS or recovery etc.) Week ago I left device, connected to PC for all night, and, I gess, with "bad" micro-USB cable.
Next day I couldn't boot this phone. I connected it to charger and after little time it was loaded to fastboot. But up today I can't do anything with phone: I can't unlock it, can't factory reset, can't boot to recovery etc...
I tried to find any same simptomes in google, but found nothing
As you can see on screenshots, I made steps for unlock bootloader but on device I didn't see notification about unlocking.

I'm taking a bit of a guess but some how system has got wipe but that seems a bit off for a locked phone but since it's locked I would take it back to where you got it from and get them to sort it.

I would normally say the same. But the OP mentioned in another thread posted in the wrong forum section (linked in his post) that he bought from Canada but lives in Ukraine, so I think warranty is not valid. It would have been helpful for the OP to give all the relevant details in this new post.
I agree, it looks like his OS and possibly recovery have somehow become wiped, corrupted, or damaged. Not common for a stock device, but not unheard of, either.

Hi
I had a similar problem to you where I was stuck in fastboot mode and the only command it would execute was POWER DOWN and when switched back on it returned to fastboot mode. However I ended up in that state due to making a mistake in trying to unlock and root my phone. Also I believe my display showed the RADIO and OpenDSP details rather than the INVALID_VER_INFO that your's is showing.
I thought I had deleted the rom and recovery on my device and I had bricked my phone however I was able to recover my phone by getting a new unlocktoken from HTC and flashing it.
Once I had successfully unlocked my phone I had access to my rom and recovery.
I see from your first image that you tried to unlock your phone and it shows that 'unlock token check successful' but images 2 and 3 show that the phone is still 'LOCKED' so it may be worth going to the HTC site, get a new unlock token and try again.
If it doesn't work, it shouldn't do anymore harm either!
Best of luck.

Yes, I did this And in consol I saw that everything was fine, but on device I didn't see standart notification about unlocking.
A found some topics about "INVALID_VER_INFO" - and they said that it can be ok for some devices (guys checked this on their worked devices, booted to fastboot and saw the same).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715056 here is the topic about "INVALID...".
btw - I tried unlock phone after another man. He did the same - receive .bin from dev. HTC site etc. I did the same, but from another HTC dev. account and result was the same Phone didn't unlock.
It could be that the recovery has got messed up because I believe recovery is used to do it since unlocking will wipe data. The only things I can think of is a real ruu as in it full rom and firmware exe (good luck with that) or you could try just firmware ruu, riff box or HTC themselves.

Could anyone help with RUU process? What information I should have for correct RUU update? I found this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729173 but I'm not sure that I have SPRINT device.
I need an information, how I can be sure, that I use correct file for RUU my HTC? Is it bootloader version, or operator version (Sprint, Verison etc.) or something else? As I wrote, I can open information about my phone in Fastboot (I can check my SN, CID, bootloader version etc.)

For a ruu to work it needs to have matching cid, guess mid and has to be same version or higher than what's on the phone. You can't flash the wrong one it won't let you.
Edit, also the one you linked to won't work.

Hi! First of all, all in one tools are not necessary to flash custom rom/kernel on your phone (you can do it without them)... Let's start: to get a token, you have to register to htcdev.com, then there is a nice guide on their site taking you by hand to the end of the process...
You have to be sure to have the drivers installed on your laptop to get everything working, and to do that you can install htc sync and remove it (it will leave drivers inside the pc)... Moreover: be sure fastboot can see your device; boot it into bootloader and plug it into pc (on device's display it should appear "fastboot usb"), open a cmd Shell, go to fastboot folder and type "fastboot devices"; if list is empty you have to install fastboot drivers...
After you follow this guide and you unlock your bootloader, you can flash a custom recovery and a custom rom, but we'll talk about it after you unlock the bootloader let me know when you are ready

here is the folder unzip it and try
moreovere @RohinZaraki is right! it might not be the endeavoru... to check enter bootloader screen and tell us what is the word at the beginning of the second line, just under pink flag (ours is endeavoru, if different you have to ask for assistance in device's forum)
edit: sorry i lost part of the discussion while typing... my folder should work the same
If it's Evita, that means it's not our device. If it does turn out to be an Evita, you might want to check it out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2593382

My advice is to head to the forum I shared earlier. I don't really recommend trying methods meant for other devices. Best case scenario is it won't work. Worst case scenario, you lose your phone.

Before I head over there since you guys have been so helpful every time I try to open up fastboot in that folder that you sent it does not open it just flashes a bunch of letters on the black command prompt screen and then disappears same thing with adb and anything else in that folder for that matter

Open a command prompt and navigate to that folder or enter the folder you unpacked and then press shift+right click and Open a prompt from the contextual menu... To install drivers go to device manager when phone is in fastboot mode and plugged into pc and install from there...
Edit: it should work or at least drivers won't install, but if you want to feel safe search a fastboot folder/drivers in your phone's dedicated forum as Rohin said... I use that fastboot folder for both my hox and m8 anyway...

Hello there,
Heres a crazy idea, try a different USB cable, I know it may sound illogical, but sometimes that is the reason, ensure you are using high quality cables.

an even better idea would be to go to the correct forum before you brick your device, nothing here, except the fastboot folder, can be of any help to you, you may as well be asking in the Samsung galaxy forum, its a completely different device. I'm sure the guys n gals in the evita forum will be able to help you achieve everything you are striving for. I really cant stress strongly enough how close you are to bricking your phone.
