[Q] Xperia PLAY Launcher alternative - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys! I'm looking for an alternative for the xperia play launcher since it only works with some games ... So far I have been using the Snapdragon GameCommand launcher.
Do you know any alternative?

I didn't really like the Xperia Play launcher that much, so what I did was dedicate a screen of my home to games. Emulators in one folder, games the next, PSone titles the very next, etc. A lot simpler than the swipe through launcher imo.

How? I get "This app is incompatible with your Verizon Sony Ericsson R800x."
I mean, I can't imagine there are differences for app compatability accross versions of the xperia play....

[Q] Confusion regarding PS Store, PS Suite, PS Pocket...

I'm a bit confused about the Playstation store...
What's the difference between Android Playstation store, Playstation pocket, and Playstation Suite?
Being on Verizon and in the US, I heard some say this new update might allow us Verizon users to use the PS Store. Is this an official Sony app that allows access to PSOne games? If so, why is it not on the Market?

Even though this should be posted under Q&A here is an answer
Playstation Store is the official Sony store we have across the PS Vita, PS3 and PSP Systems, it is their Store with their content. Android Market or Google Play is of course run by Google and has tons of content from many developers (Vritaully anyone) as for Playstation Pocket, I forgot what that was sorry :/
Yeah, I realized later that this should be in Q&A. Sorry about that, thanks for the response.

No problem. Honestly I think they should merge general discussion and Q&A into one seeing they are both discussing the Xperia Play and features.

[Q] Which emulator best?

My son has a Xperia play, I was going to have a mess with an emulator on it "for old times sake"
It's not rooted or anything like that, is there a simple way to get an emulator working, not too technical and which is best?
Cheers
What console do you want to emulate?
Sent from my R800i using XDA
Depends on what you want to emulate. FPSE is great for psx
sorry should have said
not sure really, whatever is the best, smoothest out there really?
I came from Commodore 64, Amiga, but anything really, I want to show my son some "classic" games from when I used to play, and maybe some newer ones, PS1 possible?
also as a side note, I currently have a HTC Sensation XE, wil these work on my phone or only the Xperia Play?
cheers
You can find Commodore 64, PS1, Gameboy & gameboy advance emulators that work on most phones. Just search for them on Google Play

another good emulator is MAME4droid
I don’t have a clue!
Dosbox turbo is a great port of Dosbox on android. Xperia Play optimized. I'm currently playing at wolf3d and Master of Orion 2 (steam and gog releases, respectively).
I'm after a particular game to work on my XE and sons Xperia play, am I allowed to name the game and ask which emulator is best for it please?
yes cause you can, fire away your just not allowed to post warez and where you got them from

Ok great do I need to get snesx9 them for lemmings 1 & 2? I thought they were on Amiga to though.
How's the control method? I'm hoping its touch, ie touch a climber icon, then touch a lemming?
snesx9 is free just search on google and yea they are on amiga to but its so much easier to get them working with the snes emulator
Can't find snesx9 on play store. Also forgot to say both my XE and sons Xperia Play are standard non rooted, not sure if this makes a difference?
I can find snesdroid, does it make a difference which emulator is used?
I mean search on google in your phones web browser u will find snes9x you can use snesdriod but the games lag ,non root will be fine

Is there none on the play store that run fine?
snesdroid will run it ok just download all the free snes emulators and try them all and keep the one that works best then just delete the others

How to add to "Play Games" list?

Does anyone know how to add games to the Play Games list? Not all downloaded games that work with XPlay are on the list...
bump
If you mean the games launcher I want to know if this is posssible also!
Xperia Play-
Dixperia 2
V6 Supercharger
Lightning Launcher
LFC!
Ok, I haven't used stock Sony apps in a while. Is that the name for the Xperia Play Launcher now? If so, there's a thread around here on modding the game's xml file and what not.

[Q] Support For Gaming Controls In Cm7?

Hi guys, I just bough my Xperia Play and I want to install CM on it, but I wonder, is the gaming controls fully supported in CM 7?, touchpad?, buttons?
I know it's not in CM9, but I can't find a fully answer about this on CM7.
Thanks.

CM doesn't have most of the xperia play optimized games working. Some games doesn't recognize the gamepad or the xperia play. About touchpads it is really broken on CM.

Yes, what you said has been fully reported on CM9.
Some people using CM7 have this problem, and some people don't, that's why I'm asking.

[Q] Xperia PLAY to Bluetooth Gamepad

Is there an app that can convert the Xperia PLAY into a Bluetooth game pad? I have tried tablet remote and this doesn't quite work. I am looking for something that will make my Xperia's controls mappable on another device in games like dead trigger. This maybe a bit far fetched but I think this would be a cool app to have.

You could always just, well, play Dead Trigger on your Play. It's a bit far-fetched but it just might work
Joking aside, I don't think so :S

I heard BTController can do it, but I don't know if it transfer the hardware buttons as well.
Use BT Controller. The developer created a fix for our circle button too. I use my Play as a controller for emulators being run on my Asus Slider.
