I loaded JB on my VZW GN and it crashed. It got stuck in a bootloop. I tried everything and couldn't get it to boot up. I tried Odin and selected the wrong file, now the download page doesn't come up, there are 3 icons (a pda symbol, a yellow triagle and a monitor. I can't get it to boot to CWR and anything else but that 3 icon screen. I think I've bricked my phone.
Can anyone help? OR should I call VZW customer service in the morning and say my phone crashed and it won't boot up?
Thanks
Maybe this? =\

Friends evo just started doing this today - he didn't make any changes or do anything to the phone to cause this. It just keeps cycling through the sprint splash screen/start up sound over and over.
its not rooted/unlocked - it's stock from sprint
If i try going into recovery, i get the black and white htc evo screen. And then I get an icon of a green arrow with green arrows circling around it and after a few seconds i get a red triangle with an exclamation mark in it, which i assume is a bad thing.
Is there anything I can do to try and fix this?
and again - stock, not rooted/not unlocked - running whatever rom is current with sprint.
thanks
Same here except sometimes times it loads up into android but after a few minutes it starts rebooting again. I rooted the phone to see if that would fix it but still stuck in boot loop with it occassionaly loading into android.

I just fixed my friends phone by doing the following:
downloaded this RUU RUU_SuperSonic_GB_Sprint_WWE_4.67.651.3_Radio_2.15.00.12.19_NV_2.33_release_234563_signed.exe
download htc sync
installed htc sync
uninstalled htc sync (keep the drivers).
press the power btn and the volume down button until you get into hboot - wait a few seconds for it to fully boot. Select fastboot. Plug your phone into your pc. Run the RUU - wait a few minutes for it to do it's thing and phone is working now.
not sure how this will work for you if your phone is rooted, as this was done on an unrooted phone.
Infinite boot loop
Stock Evo Infinite Boot Loop
I have been trying to fix my daughter's evo 4g from Sprint. Its at least 2 years old. She no longer uses it because it went into infinite boot loop. Itws not hooked up and is in no warranty.
I have done the hard factory reset. There is no issue with saqving anything on the phone. I have tried everything I could find so far in the forums. I may have missed some things. idk.
Ive wiped cache.
This is what I got in the info on the phone.

Still stuck in boot loop. But now it says in pink above supersonic...Locked..oow
Before when I was using recovery I got these messages..
CANT OPEN CACHE/RECOVER/COMMAND

CANT OPEN /DATA/CWPHG.ZIP
CANT OPEN /DATA/CWPROP
CANT OPEN CACHE//CWPKG
CANT OPEN cache/cw.prop

This is completely stock. Never been rooted or changed in any way.
This is my daughter's exact message about problems she was having:
"it seems to me that it gets overheated sometimes. like it seems the battery is getting too hot. i dunno john had the problem with his evo one time but he took it and had sprint reset it which is pretty much the same thing you do yourself i think. his was fixed but mine wasnt.i didnt get sprint to reset it for me. i never dropped it or anything i dont know. i hope you can get it fixed though. i liked the phone when it was working good. it seems like it can go for awhile sometimes without rebooting and i could talk on it but as soon as i would hang up it would go into loop again.it was hot.i even tried making the screen darker so maybe it wouldnt get so hot."
Sorry not to be briefer. Please..anyone with suggestions?
Thanks
Possibly use odin to flash the stock image?

Been awhile since i did this. But search "revolutionary s-off". Do this to gain s-off. Download and flash "smelkus recovery" (find directions in post, search xda). Then try wiping everything and installing a room.
Might work, might not... but if not, that's a stylish paper weight

Hi,
I recently tried installing the new 4.3 update onto my Samsung Galaxy S3 I747. Also, I never rooted my phone and my carrier is Telus if that matters.
When my phone finished updating, it lead to the lock screen. Just as I was about to enter my pin and unlock it, the phone restarts and gets stuck on the Samsung splash screen. I have tried entering into recovery mode and then wiping the cache and restarting it, but no luck.
I do not wish to restore my phone back to factory settings because I do not want to lose my music and apps. Is there a solution that can fix it without wiping the memory?
Thanks.
edit: i left it charging for a few minutes while it was stuck on the samsung splash screen, and then it went to the lockscreen and restarted it self
... i have to wait five minutes before i can save my edit
editedit: it just went to lockscreen for a second again
editeditedit: its going back to lockscreen quite often and restarting it self

When you got it into recovery did you try to wipe data/factory reset??
But to be honest it sounds like your phone is soft bricked maybe. I'm experiencing the almost same problem with my AT&T sgh-i747. Mine is stuck at the Samsung Galaxy S III screen and doesn't go any further than that at all.
You will most likely have to do that same thing I am doing which is reflashing android 4.3 via odin. It may work for you, I'm pretty sure it'll work for mine. Head over here and read this thread and see if this can help if not let me know and we'll come up with somethin else to help you fix your phone. (If I'm correct following this thread and flashing via odin will not erase and of your data.)
Your only other real option is to install the 4.3 MJ2 leak via heimdall. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2496425
Heimdall will flash odin files. http://glassechidna.com.au/heimdall But odin will not flash heimdall files. It works much like odin flash in download mode so i'm told. I'm trying to figure it out now. I hope this helps.
I was never able to get the above Heimdall installed correctly on my pc. I am still stuck at the black and white galaxy s3 screen. I installed TWRP via odin to try my to run my nandroid i made earlier today and it says successful. But when I go to reboot It says No OS are you sure you want to reboot. I was already on 4.3.3 via the OTA update like you. And now i'm here turn phone on and it's going straight to download mode
Please HELP US BOTH Someone ANYONE
In need of help!
I have a rooted Galaxy Nexus. I have been having many problems since it was rooted (will not connect to Google I think...? WiFi signal grey), but if possible I'd like to keep it rooted. I used Nexus root toolkit and SuperSU seemed to mess everything up. For a while after I uninstalled SuperSU it worked OK. Then later they WiFi signal went gray again so I factory reset this morning. Internet seemed to work (even though it was still gray) so I went about finding replacements for Google apps online because my Google apps didn't work(Google play, YouTube, etc). About an hour later suddenly my screen froze then my phone crashed. When I attempted to restart it stayed on the blue, green, red, yellow, X for 2hrs. I decided to pull the battery and put it in boot loader. Instead of what boot loader normally says it instead said "Downloading... Do not turn off target!!" When I tried to use the volume keys to change the "Start" sign it did nothing. My only option (I think) was to press the power/sleep button to try to turn it on. Just like before though, it stayed in boot loop.
I'm sorry if this was too long... I'm new to XDA, could somebody please help me?
Thank you
Oh and this whole time I didn't have any form of superuser installed...
Can anyone help?
Does anybody know what to do? Please help me!
Hey there. Something strange has been going on ever since I re-flashed my phone. When I flash the kernel/rom other than the stock one I get a duplicate Samsung logo when the phone boots. (phone displays Samsung logo, goes black for a second then displays again before boot) I've been flashing and reflashing ever since I got the phone and now I'm getting this. I can get into recovery and download mode just fine and other than that there don't seem to be any other problems. This is just weird. I'm wondering if there's a way to fix this. Also, I'm wondering how such a thing can happen in the first place. I've re-flashed twice now and the result is still the same.
[EDIT]
From what I understand, the boot screen file is located in param.lfs. I've read before that you can add a screen but how in the world would a re-flash cause a duplicate screen to appear? I had a failed kernal flash happen where i couldn't access the recovery and had to start over from scratch but that's happened before.
[UPDATE]
Just tried to mod the boot logo and found out it's requesting "gaudi_bootimage.jpg" twice. I have no idea what this means. Gonna go back in and re-flash the old one back in.
Hello All,
I recently purchased a TMobile S6 Edge Plus.
I downloaded ODIN and flashed the 928T kernel located here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/s6...-edge-plus-t3194607/post62744199#post62744199
ODIN stated that the flash "passed" and the phone started to reboot. Next thing I know 10 minutes later, it's stuck on the black "S6 edge plus" screen with "kernel is not seandroid enforcing" across the top. Now I cannot turn the phone off or even reboot. I'm pretty new to rooting so Im not sure what I did wrong. The phone is just stuck on the black screen. I have no idea how to fix this.
Can anybody please help me undo what I've done? I was following the root guide from here: https://theunlockr.com/2016/02/04/root-samsung-galaxy-s6-edge-plus/
Thanks,
So I held down power, down volume, and home button. Then once the phone went black. I quickly pressed the power, up volume, and home button. I'm now into the stock recovery it appears? Not sure what to do from here.... can anybody help me out. (I don't want to be stuck without a phone).
So got out of the frozen boot image. Flashed a "stock modified kernel" here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/tm...ernel-stock-modified-kernel-touchwiz-t3229557
I then flashed the the Darthstar ROM here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/tm...m-darthstalker-note5-version-2-aroma-t3217247
I've got the ROM working... but it doesn't appear the hack hotspot/unrestricted tethering is working. Could this be due to already reaching my hotspot limit this month? And needing to wait until next months data resets before the unlimited hack starts working?
Also my data speeds were ungodly slow, so I reset the APN back to factory/default and then changed the mobile network from LTE/3g/2g to "LTE only" and sure enough... my speeds went back to normal. Anybody have a clue why this happened? I'm just worried when I get out to a more desolate place... and if theres no LTE... I'll basically have no service...
Thank you to all who respond!
