When to do:
If fone runs out of internal memory or u know for sure tat it will
Requirements:
1. SD card
2. MiniTool Partition (free) software on windows PC - http://www.partitionwizard.com/download.html
3. Link2SD
* higher the CLASS of SD, faster the performance
* link2SD is available for FREE on Play Store. Get the latest version. If u dont hav a STORE, find the compatible version yrself or try the attached APK
Preparation:
1. ROOT yr fone
2. settings - privacy - factory reset
3. switch OFF
* if u dont know whether yr fone is ROOTed or not, then its surely NOT-ROOTed
* if factory reset doesnt wipe yr fone, switch off & enter RECOVERY & clear dalvik, cache, etc
* in many fones recovery can be entered by simply POWERing ON while HOLDING Volume Up
Process:
1. take out SD
2. say, its a 16gb SD, use MINITOOL on PC & create 1st PRIMARY partition of 14gb as FAT32
3. 2nd PRIMARY partition of 2gb as EXT2
4. u'll get some warnings, ignore them
5. once u r done, leave the SD aside, DONT plug it in fone
6. start yr fone & DONT let play store auto update anything
7. Ummm... Have a smoke!
8. update superuser bianary, restart
9. plugin the modded SD
10. install LINK2SD from play store in INTERNAL MEMORY
11. run the app
12. on 1st run the app will ask whats the 2nd partition type. Choose EXT2
13. if the app doesnt say tat, repartition again, if still doesnt say, figure out wats wrong
14. dont proceed unless u get tat popup msg from link2sd. once u get tat msg, accept it & restart
15. run the app & configure android's inbuilt app2sd to install in INTERNAL MEMORY by default
16. now configure link2sd to auto link new installations to SD
17. restart & hav fun
*how to check: install ANYTHING on yr fone & after it says install complete, link2sd will popup in notification & say LINKING. let it do its work & say LINKED
*note : DONT ever format the modded SD thru fone, it'll delete the illegal partition
*can b used on ANY andoid device
*never hot-swap yr SD cause its part of system now. to take out SD, turn off fone
*if u follow the clean format method, DO NOT read beyond this! u'll never have to worry bout free space, just enjoy yr droid
==========================
effect is best noted if clean format method is followed but.....
those who dont wanna format, do all the settings as point 15&16, then for the stuff tat r already installed in INTERNAL mem, LINK them to SD, DO NOT MOVE them to SD. if u have stuff installed in SD previously, MOVE them to internal mem & LINK them to SD
*always LINK with LIBs & all the 3 options preferably
*DONT LINK link2SD & Play Store update
*u can LINK absolutely anything even if its system update & always LINK with libs & all the options it shows
*before LINKing system updates, FORCE CLOSE tat app
*those who DONT format, might get ForceClose after linking system updates. in tat case, uninstall the update & reinstall & let link2sd do its job auto
*even tho u LINK apps from internal mem, system wont show the space freed unless u REBOOT
*system will never count the extended mem, use the link2sd app to see system stat
==========================
Pls dont ask questions which r impossible/lame to answer. like:
1. will it work on my such & such device
2. will it work on my such & such 3rd party ROM
3. how much should i allot
4. can i use some other file system for 1st/2nd partition
said method of linking to SD yields much more free system mem than any other moving to SD technique! also it has added advantages over others which u'll realise once u start using it
I have stuck at 2nd step of process.. I downloaded the PARTITION MAGIC whole file of nearly 25MB but could not do further things.. frustrated.. gave up..
I could root my Chinese dual sim i9220 easily.. with help of SuperOneClick.. but doing this stuff found v difficult.. needless to say.. I am not good in tech things.. pls help.. thanks in advance..
1st plugin SD in pc & then fire up MINITOOL
app will show the sd card with 1 partition
hi-light the partition & hit DELETE
UN PARTITIONED space will b created
hi-lite UNPARTITIONED space & hit create... make partitions as described
now hit the BIG GREEN "APPLY" button
....the app only does its job when u hit APPLY... if u dont hit APPLY, no changes will be made to... this is a security feature
Fantastic..works like a charm on HTC EVO 4G LTE
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
thanks for the guide. i'm about to try it on my samsung xcover phone (android 2.3.6), which is already rooted. i take it that the factory reset will erase all the apps that didn't come with the phone, so what's the recommended way to backup the apps and restore them after link2SD? (Obviously I can just copy the contents of the old fat32 partition to the new fat32 partition, but I assume there's something more involved here).
if u prefer to save apps rather than clean format method, theres method laid out for tat too.... read the whole post
restoring the contents of existing fat32 after format will NOT bring anything back.... its just garbage
Thanks Sadhu for this! You are great man! You worked on this with developer or you are just an advanced user of this app? I will push the thanks button for this mate!!!

no am not working with developer or anything cool of that sort.... i was a webmaster for 7yrs distributing symbian/WM 0-day releases... so love to mingle
if any developer wants webspace to provide direct links, i'll b happy to help
i tried partiioning my 16gb class 4 sd card both tru cwm partition option and mini partition tool on pc(the method u said here).but evrithing was fine upto partioning.but the partitioned ext2 is not mounting automatically.n i dnt know how to mount it manually.
any help????
galaxy Y is the mobile.
tested working on galaxy Y & Y-Duos
wat EXACTLY do u mean by 2nd partition is NOT MOUNTING ???? i've made a reply below but it might not b the reply to yr question cause i didnt understand it
--------
r u sure u have ROOT ??? most probably u dont... so check tat first... then proceed as below....
--------
take out & plugin SD on PC & with monitool, verify....
1st partition is PRIMARY & FAT32
2nd partition is ALSO PRIMARY & ext2
then run link2sd -> choose partition type ext2 -> goto SETTINGS -> ....
1. native app2sd -> INTERNAL
2. RELINK lib/dex + fastscrool -> CHECK
reboot & run link2sd.... if it doesnt ask partition type again, its all fine
i decided to do a clean upgrade and to reinstall apps. seems to be working fine; link2sd recognized the ext2 partition, shows the app linked to sd message when i install new apps and so forth. however, system memory still appears around 100 MB (as opposed to 2 GB, which is the size of my ext2 partition on the sd card). when i install something, for example, adobe flash player (5 MB), it take takes that out of system memory or shows that system memory has gone from 100 MB to 95 MB. however, the memory returns back to 100 MB after reboot (maybe cache refresh issue) once link2sd has loaded and been (automatically) granted superuser access. i then installed a bunch of new apk files and system memory went down to 85 MB (after reboot), so it seems that link2sd is not able to link quite everything, but hopefully it works well enough that i won't experience space problems again.
again, thank for the guide.

system does NOT count/recognise the 2nd partition.... it'll always show original space left... use the link2sd app to see diff STORAGE INFO... as mentioned in post
for system to refresh memory info, it needs a reboot... i've already mentioned tat
~~~~~~~~~~~
make sure tat in link2sd setting .... NATIVE APP2SD SETTINGS -> INTERNAL
still some apps might NOT get auto linked in SOME FONES... theres solution for tat too...
(no such issue in motorola. seen in spice/karbonn)
1. fire up link2sd -> hit the FILTER button & choose ON INTERNAL -> click on a app -> create link (choose all 3 check box)
2. fire up link2sd -> hit the FILTER button & choose ON SD CARD -> click on a app -> create link (choose all 3 check box)
morning! i wake late... after looking @ yr scr, tats wat i was gonna say tat seems u r using custom ROM... since u r choosing ext4, better make tat partition ext4 also.... ext4 formatting wastes less space & its noticeably faster with linking
like FAT, FAT32, NTFS for windows, in linux we have ext2, ext3, ext4 (android is a varient of linux).... u cant use ext2 as ext4 it might work but will mess up... so since yr rom is working with ext4, make tat partition ext4 & enjoy
great tat u took the time to figure out yrself now u r free from memory restriction forever
Hi all !
OK after reading a lot of stuff on the web (mainly modaco and xda), I finally understood a bit more this Apps2Sd thingy.
Like most people I have an "internal storage" problem on my desire
Now I managed to have fully rooted HTC Desire, with security off even though the bootloader is 0.9x using unrevoked. Great piece of software
Great so far, but I still have a space problem.
After further reading, I finally understood that thestandard Froyo Apps2Sd sucks and still eats up loads of internal memory because apps aren't designed to take advantage of it and a few other reasons but I digress.
So the only solution is to install the unofficial apps2sd or apps2sd+ (the ony diference being that app2sd+ also moves the dalvik cache, right ?)
However, so far, I've only read explanations about using a2sd/a2sd+ with a CUSTOM rom.
Now I know that modaco and xda custom roms are just great (used to test a few with my old acer liquid) but well I'm very satisfied of HTC stock rom indeed. Seriously, I can't see anything to change.
So, I'd like to use a2sd/a2sd+ but avoid going through wiping the phone, falshing a new rom and all...Furthermore, I took some time to link the contacts between gmail and facebook and I wouldn't like to do it again.
Is this possible to use a2sd/a2sd+ using the standard HTC rom, without having to flash a new custom rom ? And if yes, could some kindly explain me how ?
Best regards
D.
Theres the script for apps2sd, not sure if you can just flash the .zip though.
IMO, you might not think there's anything to change until you experience the changes, just get a custom rom and reap the benefits.
No, you need init.d support. Get a custom rom.
Pre-rooted stock Froyo with optional a2sd+.
Allright, I finally decided to use LeeDroid's rom and, so far so good ! PLenty of free phone memory, with a ton of apps !! Thanks a lot for your usefull comments.
I was in the same predicaent yesterday, but gave up as I had to go out!
I had LeeDroid with A2SD on the phone, but it still ran out of space when I installed Need For Speed... but this was probably because I didn't have my SD Card partitioned.
Am I right when I think that I have to backup my SD Card, then go into ROM Manager and simply format the card in there for A2SD?
I tried this, but I still only see my SD card as 1 partition when I look in Windows 7. Is this right - or should I see 2 partitions?
Sorry for the newb questions - but I want to get it all sorted before I start setting the phone up the way I want!!
Windows cannot see ext type partitions, so this is ok. Yeah, backup, use ROM manager to make the partition, then recopy the backup.
Get Quick System Info from the Market, you'll see there if the ext partition is used afterwards.
Thanks for the reply.
I checked my partition with Quick System Info - and something must've gone wrong as my A2SD partition is only 16mb with only 2mb free!!
What settings am I supposed to use when I use ROM Manager to make the partition? I'm pretty sure I set the first one to 512mb and the second to 0mb like I read somewhere. Is this wrong?
Yeah, thats ok 512mb for apps and 0 for swap. Try it couple times, maybe the ROM manager didn't do it properly for the 1st time. Check with Quick System Info when its done.
Actually, you can use anything you want to format your microSDHC card. I used a computer with linux, a card reader and gparted, and I found it way more straightforward than using the phone to do the job. Gparted is included in Ubuntu and yu even have gparted live disk/usb (go to gparted.sourceforge.net. Sorry can't post links on the forum yet )
Hi,
i was lookin for a solution too and i found it.
I am running on stock rom froyo 2.2 on my htc desire.
16gb micro sd card. - no data loss.
Here is the steps.
HTC desire has to be rooted. and S-OFF (not sure if it works without S-OFF)
Busybox installed.
Next , download Gparted to partition your SD Card. (can run in VM )
Run Gparted, mount your card, USe Gparted to shrink your sd card. (i have my pics and videos inside the card up to 12gb.. and i shrink to 13gb.. It takes a looooong time.. about 13 mins to shink.. thank god my data is still intact..
i partition the extra 1gb.. set it as primary too and then format it as ext2... i have tried ext3 and ext4.. it cant be recognized by Desire.
put back yr SD card.. (if you use a card reader.. or can jus partition using Desire mounted as disk drive)
Next.. download. Link2SD , search in market..
Run the app and it will be able to detect and ask you to select the drive.. ext2 and press ok.
now.. use the app to link up yr app.. those with FRoyo app2sd.. u can click 'move to phone' and then use link2sd to link it..
you will start to see that your internal memory will increase as u move and link more apps using link2SD...
Now go to the link2sd option and set it to 'auto link' new installed app.
once u installed any new app.. it will be linked...
if the app is auto installed to SD card via the Froyo app2sd.. simply go to manage application and move it to phone and the use link2sd to link it..
(no.. you will not see the 1g size when u go under settings, you can check storage under the link2sd app)
Note: once u mount yr Desire as disk drive .. you will need to reboot your phone else if you install any new app.. it will be install to your real internal memory even thou it says linked... if this happens.. you might see low memory notification.. jus reboot your phone.. and when rebooted, it will be re-link automatically..
Cheers! i used to have 15mb left.. now i have 50++ mb.. and yet installed alot of apps.. without flashing a rom.. this will helps if you guys jus need more internal storage and do not wat to risk or go thru the restoration of data..
as usual... before you do anything... do a nandroid backup using clockworkmod recovery or any recovery and also titantium backup to backup the apps data in case anything goes wrong
Phone working well for the past 3 days
That's just AWESOME !! Many thanks for the tip, that's exactly what I was looking for
This is pretty much exactly what I was looking for, but the bit about installing BusyBox came as a surprise. What does that do for you here?
Thanks
John
As anybody who owns a wildfire S , you notice a low internal storage , but now , i learned how to make up much much more internal storage !! All thanks to jikantaru ! Lets cut through to the requirements !
Requirements :
1. A rom with a2sd or apps2sd (ex: Jikantaru rom , Wildfire S Cracker)
2. Link2SD
3. CWM recovery
4. Android terminal emulator or adb .
5. Permanent Rooted Phone , which means unlocked bootloader or s-off + root
Process :
1. Backup your SDcard and apps because everything on it might be erased
2. Reboot into CWM
3. Go to advanced
4. Partition SDcard ( choose anything , recommended 512 MB or higher )
5. Swap size any ( recommend 64 MB or higher )
6. Wait till it finishes , it will take a while .
7. reboot and open up Link2SD
8. It will ask you for SD second partition , choose ext3 . (if it didn't continue to the next steps of 9 )
9 a) **Do this only if step 8 wasn't prompted** Go to Link2sd's "more"
b) choose Recreate mount scripts
c) choose ext3
10. reboot the phone , it will take 2-5 mins , so don't remove the battery nor the SDcard .
11. after it boots , go to link2sd , then Storage info , you should see Sdcard 2nd partition mounted , this approves everything is alright
12. Here you have two choices to do , just do any of you want ( choice "a" is easier )
a) for ones with the terminal , type in "su" , then type in "a2sd cachesdreset"
b) for ones with adb , enable USB debugging then open a cmd , cd to the adb location , then type "adb shell" , then "su" , then "a2sd cachedreset" .
13 . Now the phone should reboot ( it would take 2-5 mins , don't touch battery or SDcard )
Additional : Now since you got a 2nd partition , you can link apps to this partition , by pressing any app or multiselect a group of apps and select the Create Link option (for multiselect , press Menu then Actions) , it might require you to quick reboot for every linked app but this will backup and free your internal memory and it is very useful for Large apps and games ! More over in link2sd setting there is an option to Autolink any newly installed app , so flick it !
Now by that you have finished the thing ! Go to sd and phone storage in settings , and you will notice the internal storage is now 108 MB , Now any app you install on phone memory you just go to link2sd and move it to sdcard , by this , the sdcard is acting as internal storage !!! Install any app you want ! Please Post your feedback !!!
NOTE : the original app2sd that comes with link2sd still takes from the internal storage a big part , so this tutorial will make a partition of the sdcard act as internal storage , which is totally amazing especially for the picky and annoying low Wildfire S internal storage. This was Jikantaru's tutorial originally but Jikantaru's needed more explanation especially for newbies , so i did the thing and it is totally working . BTW , I learn and explain in my way
Again all Thanks a lot for jikantaru !!
Sry if this sounds kinda dumb, but i'm a little confused with all these a2sd, link2sd, data2sd etc. stuff.
Do you know if the CM 7.2 nightlies are a2sd enabled, so this will work?
Tried it and in Terminal Emulator it says "a2sd not found"
Thanks in advance
Thx... this tutorial works great for me, after install a bunch of apps, the internal memory still have 130MB free...
What ?? you can't restore ? maybe you didn't even backup ... actually you might have to create a mount script from Link2sd ...
Meh, I gave up on Link2SD... as my apps keep dissapearing on boot ( apk still on sd-ext, but android not listing the apps).. and SD card gets corrupted and erases itself...
Might just try to repartition the /system & /data for more space...
Thanks, I can finally fit stuff on my phone haha. Now all we need is a fully working CM7 port.
I got that problem multiple times ! All my dear photos where gone ! Well , i need to update this tutorial as it "needs" updates !
There's an option on link2sd (menu - more - clear all app caches), what different with that?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e
Clearing the app caches is what it says , but the a2sd cachesdreset more like creates a dalvik cache to sd flag which empties A LOT , but after doing this , if you try removing the SD while the phone is booted it will FREEZE , then after rebooting you will notice that the storage is low again ! unless you reinsert the SD and reboot , the flag will be reactivated ...
Dosen't work
Hey guys. i am fiddling with this link2sd software for weeks now. long story short, when i use a2sd cachesdreset command, phone restart ok. but after booting into the htc homescreen, errors keep popping up, google services fails to load etc etc.
& if i reboot, the phone is stuck on white screen with HTC logo forever( kept it running for 1 hour hoping it will load but .. hmm )
only way to get back is to get the sd card out, but then after reboot, THE APPLICATION IS NO LONGER INSTALLED error appears.
PLS PLS GUIDE ME GUYS i am a noob here. Thanks.
PS: don't wanna use data2sd as i am on class4 8GB card & it too slow for me
nope , doesn't differ much , i used to use both for a long time , then i used a 16 gb sdcard with data2sd (2gb ext4 partition ) , i don't know what class was that but i knew it was good , so i tell you try wiping all data , dalvil cache ... then try reflashing your ROM ( i recommend you use eqdkp ) , then use link2sd to mount your second partition , then refollow my instructions .... please press the thanks button and check the SENSE 4.0 lockscreen and clock !
You have actually linked your apps via link2sd haven't you? When you look at apps in link2sd do they say they are linked, and that's for apk file, dalvik cache and libs?
I mean..you dnt have to install link2sd if you want to use DT a2sd. Just run teminal emulator after flash rom, type "su" then type "a2sd cachesd" (the rom include DT a2sd in this case)
Ok ,... now this may sound strange but i got it working!!
Earlier i was using EXT4 partition & this time i did EXACTLY what is mentioned in the first page. & voila !! it works may be its something to do with ext4 partition ?? but anyhow what ever it is , i am glad ext3 got it working!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!!
If anyone could please direct me to a link or give me very detailed steps on how to create a link 2 sd partition and how to make it work?
I've studied a lot about this and i simply don't understand and very much confused on how it works and what are the steps required!
Please be very detailed in guiding me so!
I'm using Arconium 8.2 with Doomkernel V22 and a Transcend MicroSD Class 4 32GB Memory Card!
I'll be most probably sticking with GB oly as am not interested in ICS!
Please tel me the disadvantages also if it has one!
Thanks for help!
Basically, save your SD on your computer because we're going to format it.
Then, reboot in recovery, you'll find an option to partition your SD ( sorry I can't remember the exact menu, just look around, can't miss it ). Select your file system ( I'd say EXT3 is a good bet ), select your size ( I have 1Gb ), select 0 as Swap ( you don't need it for that purpose ) and then just wait
When it's done, you can copy back all your data and you'll have your SD partitioned in 2, a big one probably in FAT32 and the one you just created in EXT3
After that, just download any program which will do what you need ( i.e. Link2SD ) and follow the instructions
I hope it's detailed enough, I'm a bit in a rush
1. Backup your SDcard and apps because everything on it might be erased
2. Reboot into CWM
3. Go to advanced
4. Partition SDcard ( choose anything , recommended 512 MB or higher )
5. Swap size any ( recommend 64 MB or higher )
6. Wait till it finishes , it will take a while .
7. reboot and open up Link2SD
8. It will ask you for SD second partition , choose ext3 . (if it didn't continue to the next steps of 9 )
9 a) **Do this only if step 8 wasn't prompted** Go to Link2sd's "more"
b) choose Recreate mount scripts
c) choose ext3
10. reboot the phone , it will take 2-5 mins , so don't remove the battery nor the SDcard .
11. after it boots , go to link2sd , then Storage info , you should see Sdcard 2nd partition mounted , this approves everything is alright
12. Here you have two choices to do , just do any of you want ( choice "a" is easier )
a) for ones with the terminal , type in "su" , then type in "a2sd cachesdreset"
b) for ones with adb , enable USB debugging then open a cmd , cd to the adb location , then type "adb shell" , then "su" , then "a2sd cachedreset" .
13 . Now the phone should reboot ( it would take 2-5 mins , don't touch battery or SDcard )
Additional : Now since you got a 2nd partition , you can link apps to this partition , by pressing any app or multiselect a group of apps and select the Create Link option (for multiselect , press Menu then Actions) , it might require you to quick reboot for every linked app but this will backup and free your internal memory and it is very useful for Large apps and games ! More over in link2sd setting there is an option to Autolink any newly installed app , so flick it !
Well please could you direct me to the Link2SD program thread? How to install it and what settings should be chosen on it?
Most imp qn: How to move apps into EXT partition?
Sent from my LT15i using XDA
Once you've partitioned your sd card, install the app from the market. The first run will ask what type of partition you have, select what you've used(ext2,3,or4)and reboot. select 'auto link' from options, and that's about it.
Yes I Rebooted many times, but it is not working, infact after partition, it was aceessing the card, but was not opening gallery, so I rebooted the phone, after rebooting, it is not teading card. Plz give suggestions, what to do now
Did you finalise the settings after partitioning?
Connect your phone in MSC mode. Open MiniTool Partition Wizard and see if it can detect your memory card.
Chances are that you didn't compete the instructions that were given.
yeah I checked it, it is not detecting memory card, as per my thought , I completed the instructions What else can be done ??
get a hold of memory card reader and let the computer recognize your sd card..i m sure it will..once recognized make one primary fat32 partition..then format it and start the process again
did you make a right partition?
i mean you set a fat32 , ext2, and etc. correctly?
i think you must check it again
sorry for my bad english.
Thanks mate, i checked it on memory card reader and ii can detect the whole card, now what to do, as your reply, again I should make partition , and if I would format it all data would be erased, although now I have taken backup of all the data , can after formatting, this data can be pasted on the the formatted card and get my phone's all applications back ?
hi, reached home, going to do as you said, deleting partition, I was asking that I have to install cwm software from google market first to reboot in cwm recovery ?
You would need to download and install Xperia CWM Auto-Installer from the market. It's fine because you're already rooted.
dude u r amazing really, so helpful, thanks so so so much,as u said , deleted the partition and my phone detected the card u saved my memory card and all data otherwise I was just going to buy new memory card yesterday . K , now plz give some light about ce\wm recovery, altough you have explained me the method, but rather i have to firstly insatall it through google market and then it will rebot into cwm module ? also can u explain what is the role and function of rebooting in cwm recovery as I hace read so much about it, because it is used in many other applications llike applying new themes in phone etc.
When you first used the MiniTool Partition Wizard, were you following any guide? Or were you trying it out on your own? Because there's a well-written guide on XperiaBlog on setting up Link2SD with MiniTool.
You need to reboot into recovery because you can't access it like a regular app on your phone. (The Xperia CWM Auto-Installer has an option to reboot into recovery through the app though).
Recovery is quite an important part for any phone.
- You are able to take complete nandroid backups of your ROM and data and restore them if something goes wrong.
- You need it to install custom ROMs.
- You need it to flash zip files (eg: for themes or status bar modifications etc).
- It's got a lot of advanced options including doing a full wipe, partition your SD card to name a couple.
HELP
Heeeellllppppp,
Do you actually need the swap partition? Maybe you should just try to get link2sd running first.
And did you create your ext4 partition as a primary partition behind your fat32 partition? You could also try to use ext2 instead of ext4.
Problem
Ext4 is primary of course, ext2 not so quick as ext4, so what i shoul do?
So I have another one question, does Widfire s supported ext4, i use eoghan kernel for android 4, and custom rom by djoliver
Ok...
Ok... I had the same problem, I had a 32gb memory sd card so I thought 16gb for data and 16gb for music, BUT I folowed the tutorial and I found out the the mini partition tool box ruined my memory card... So I got a diffrentsd card, went into CWM recovery and If you go into the advance u will see something like partisioning. So if u go in that and select all u want and that should work... try to create 1gb or less... Since more than 1gb doesn't seen to be working well. After its done reboot and go to link2sd and it will see the partision so then u can select... ;D
Good Luck
James
P.S. Delete the curent 2nd partision before doing it, delete it with mini tool. If u want to see some magic flash data2sd.zip and u should see that the partision will be made as the internal memory and it will go there instead of linking ;D
Question
Thanks James I ll try it, but what the ext number created in recovery? EXT2? Or another?
Sd card wil formated?
Amm... I think ext2, but its better than nothing
P.S.: EXPLORE the recovery mode and you will find out more
Thanks
Thanks I do this
Can't you just use the Partition Wizard in ClockworkMod Recovery? Let's you choose your EXT size (upto 4GB) and a swap size (which i usually do 0M)...
Gl.
I also got the same problem with minitool partition wizard...ita useless in my case. So i tried partitoning with cwm which u cando by selecting partition sd card in advanced menu...it creates an ext2 partition. I suggest you to use cronmod's INT2EXT script as it seems far more better and easy than link2 sd!
Hit that "THANKS" button if i helped you...
Sent from my Wildfire S!
If you use a INT2EXT Flashable mod, then also partition from the Recovery too
After flashing Data2SD.zip, i got around 1.8GB as internal memory!! I have installed all the apps i need and things went fine till i restarted my WFS! After restarting all the apps installed on the ext2 partition were gone! All the widgets gone! Those missing apps seem to be unavailable. 5 mins after booting i got back the 1.8GB internal memory but the apps didn't get restored :crying: I can see them as list in Settings> Apps but not able to use them :crying: Any solution??? I'm using Sense3.5_v4.1 by idogx, m1ndh4x8r, Hintay and mstfkaratas, flashed Dust kernel.
