So I went and bought the Mugen 3900mAh Extended Battery for CDMA version (LTE) and love it, the battery life is awesome.
Here in lies the problem.. the back cover is ugly and is useless as ****
-1st the kick-stand is retarded; why would I want to use this trash and its flimsy as hell
-2nd the back cover takes up useless space thus making the phone look like a 'whale' (which I don't mind but wont fit any case )
So any solution? I have tried the Trexcell TPU Cover Case and it was close to fitting but the back cover but looks like its made out of too much plastic. Is there a cover that will fit the 3900mAh battery or a case that will fit the 'whale' coverback?
I did try the phone without the back cover with the Trexcell and it fits very good so could I use it without the cover? Is that dangerous?
Ideas?
Well I Didn't see any cases.
Have to where it naked

I want to get an extended battery (nothing huge, no 3500 for me, but something in the lower 2000s will be fine) but I don't want to sacrifice being able to use a badass case like Trident cyclops or defender (can't decide which I want).
However, I don't think there's a 2000+ sized battery that'll fit in the stock case, so do any of those companies make cases for phones that have extended batteries?
If not, can anyone tell me the largest battery you can fit inside of a stock back door?
1800 is the biggest that will fit under the stock door....I just got a 3500 and will NEVER go back..awesome!
you can fit the sprint 2600 in the ballistic case with some modifications... there is a thread about it somewhere on here where someone was asking and I posted pictures showing what needed to be done
bump......
no one makes a rugged extended case except sedio man... thats it, your only option other than modding the ballistic case.

i did this and its awesome!
I have the Seidio Extended battery and simply took one of my TPU cases and modded the back to be cut open around the extended part. The remaining cover still houses the sides and corners as usual and the extended case protects the camera/flash area. I have dropped it a few times and it has held up just as well.
At $4-5 a case, simple enough to do. I didn't want the added bulk of the Seidio Rugged, and the slim one piece case just simply fails to protect the phone when being dropped.
Some very small [email protected] pics from my webcam.
***Just read elsewhere that a credit card makes the perfect shape to cutout for a perfect tight fit to the Seidio Extended's bumpout.
Ceger
Just wondering if there's any cases that fit this phone when it has an extended battery on.
If not, is ghost-armor coating really worth it? I need to protect the corners of my phone, since I've dropped it once without a case, and the corners are already all scratched.
just in case
I've put a extended battery and back on mine using the same silicone case. the 2 piece hard case is modified to work by cutting a square on the back of case to fit over new back. takes a little time with sharp knife but works well. hope this helps.

What case exactly?
I just received this silicone case (a steal at $1.56 + less than a dollar shipping) and like it very much.
It does not, however, fit over the extended battery. I haven't tried altering it, but I may buy another for experimentation.

I too am curious which silicone case fits over the extended battery. But for now, I'm enjoying the new, grippy case along with a new, standard-sized Anker 1550 mah battery.
WHAT FITS
ant hard case will fit when the back part has square cut out with sharp knife, I just use regular silicone case and stretch it over extended battery. works well for me
I have that case, its an extremely snug fit, it wouldnt look very good...

looks good is in the eye of the beholder[sic] ina holster doesnt matter and out of it looks good to me. tried to find a different case for extended batt but none available,so used a knife and satisfied.
Silicone or tpu case without the new back piece works great. Using the battery bare saved me space.
I tried looking for a case myself. Seems like I've tested them all lol. But I have yet to find one that actually fits.
The silicone looks horrendous with it and that's the one I happen to like the most
I can't seem to find one that says it'll fit the extended (2100mah) battery. The case I just bought goes on, but theres about a 1/3rd inch gap in one of the corners and won't fit over it. Anyone know a case with holster that will fit with the extended battery? I thought Otterbox Defender would, but I can't find one in a store anywhere =/.

This, it's a bit pricey but I'm sure you could find it much cheaper on ebay.
i use the double cover
Cut the "stock" battery cover right at the little lip that retains the sim card (leaving lip intact). The added thickness of the ext battery is the same height of the stock battery cover installed. Works great with any case and battery is held in properly.
good day.
You can use the 2100mah seidio holster with about any tpu case. I've used it with the Cruzer Lite cases after seeing it posted on here. Seidio is also good about their warranty on their case. Mine cracked when trying to remove it several months after purchasing it and they replaced it with no problems (though I did have to spend a dollar or so to mail the broken piece back in).
Please keep it respectful here fellas. It's just a cellphone case.
Hey guys..i would like yo get a cheap gel case for my international galaxy s ii..something like this one.but the problem is i have the official samsung 2000 mah extended battery with the larger back cover it comes with.

thats what i have ordered to myself, it fits perfectly just like with stock battery, but back cover must be removed(thats not a big deal)
before that i had, likely the same tpu plastic case(as on ur link) it also fitted perfectly with extended battery
Thought I would share my extended battery mod.
This allows the official Samsung 3000mah battery to fit perfectly into the Slim Armor case. The case looks similar to the Slim Armor made by Spigen for various phones but this particular case is not made by Spigen.
Things you will need:
S3 (duh)
3000mah extended battery
Slim Armor case
Dremel or Stanley knife
Some booze
Steps:
Measure or trace position of battery on origional S3 battery door and cut it out with a rotary tool or Stanley knife.
Lay battery door inside the soft part of the case and cut out where the battery will go.
Install new battery and put on battery door and assembled Slim Armor case.
The gap between battery and case is perfect but if for some reason you have some wriggle room put a layer or 2 of soft tape inside to close the gap.

Hope this helps people like me that would like some extra battery life without turning your phone into a landmark you could spot from space.
I will try to upload some photos if I figure out how.
A quick update on this mod.
Been using this for a week now and no issues to report.
Battery and case still fit snug.

hm this looks interesting, i wonder if it will work with other extended battery likes hyperion or anker. Are any other extended battery the same thickness as the OEM extended battery?
There really isn't much more room in the case to fit a physically larger battery. You could maybe cram another millimeter in there but it might snap the hard plastic part of the case. I'm guessing unless those batteries are in the 3500mah and under range it won't work. I would like to be proven wrong though .
