Hello every one, i'm new to this forums and this
is my first post so if i'm doing something wrong
please excuse me.
Lately i bought a Xperia Play from ebay but it
has some problems..
when i turn it on it drains the full battery in less
than 15 mins and become very warm without
playing any game or doing anything, also my SIM
card is not working i tried 3 difirent operatos
but i always get this message "Your sim card
does not allow a connection to this network".
so im wondering if anyone experienced this
problems before and is there anything i can do
to fix this myself
I have the SAME problem and after looking in the internet for 2 months this is what i came up with:
This is caused by placing the battery is wrong side (- with +).
TriQuint TQM7M5013 is the damaged piece and should be replaced.
However i just ordered a new TriQuint TQM7M5013 and its on its way, once i replace it I'll report if it fixes the problem.
TriQuint TQM7M5013 picture in attachment (by addictivesundew)
oh and the metal cover is a heatsink and can be removed with a hot air soldering station without ripping it like in that pic
UPDATE: Remplaced the TriQuint TQM7M5013 and phone working fine now
wazzup bro
look from where did you order it and how much???
is there a shop in rabat ??
no i didnt find it in rabat, i bought it from hong kong they didnt want to sell to me in the first time because they sell only big quantities.
by the way i sent you a pm.

Moreover, even when you plug in the charger not charging? only shows the loading icon but then not charged and only the LED flashing red?

Hi, I have a HTC desire, its nice but it gets hot latley when playing games like angry birds for a bit when the battery drops to 20% or so, and I plug in in.. it starts doing reboot cycle.. I think it only happens until the phone cools down.
I know the only real fix for this is a new mainboard, but I am not under warrenty..
any suggestions on how to live with it, or work with it.. someone told me a bad sim card or sd card might do this to the phone... I have already put 2.3 on it and factory reset and such...
thanks
How old is it? In the eu the warranty is 2 years.

Wow, good to see im not the only one. I have the same problems, and depending on the rom they get worse or better. im running CM7 now and i have little problems, but when i was running the ICS beta it happend a lot, both on and of the charger and in my pants pocket or out.
If its overheated and i take out the battery i can smell a sort of molten plastic / overheated electronics smell.
for me it was the same - main problem is motherboard.
in the end service center exchanged for me motherboard and now this problem is gone.
but before this exchange i did following:
* decreased max cpu speed to 576-768MHz (via SetCPU)
* in one of old kernels I was able to manipulate with CPU voltage level, so i was decreasing it for all freq. which was used by me.
* charging only via PC usb ports - when it was able to be fully charged and not overheat
but the proper way would be only to bring your device into service center...
I would also suggest decreasing the max speed
might be that sleep mode doesn't work entirely as it should in some roms, not making the CPU frequency drop enough when the screen is off.
And your device might be getting old and wear is starting to show.
If it's actually damaged, replacing parts may be the only solution
This is a known problem for the first devices. The solution is to change the motherboard, of course at the service center.

You need to pick a good firmware I worth Runnymede AIO V 5.0.1 Special Edition-> Base Runnymede 1.22.461.2 Official Sensation sense 3.5 Android 2.3.5 [CM7/r2] [STOCK] [AD2SDX] [A2SD] [BEATS] [RCTWEAKS] [Aroma Touch Installer]
no problems found! the same problems arise Earlier.
How did you void your warranty? Rooting or installing custom does not void hardware warranty. At least I got my pvt1 motherboard replaced even when I had rooted and used superglue to fix some broken plastic under back cover.

Ya, the phone is just out of warrenty, it really is only 1 year in Canada.. no ifs ands or butts...
But the phone only seems to do the reboot loop when I play angry birds when the battery is low and or when I play angry birds when the phone is charging ..
I think it happend once in google street view...
in other words intense apps... that make the phone warm up and then the sensor tells the phone to restart to protect the processor from overheating, but when the phone reboots the thing is still hot so it keeps rebooting.. only solution is to take the phone battery out and let it cool..
I guess this problem could get worse but it doesn't happen with normal web browsing at this point. I might have to live with it until I find someone to replace the mainboard cheaper than HTC wants.. otherwise not worth it.
I guess lowering the CPU max might be great so it doesn't overheat in the 1st place, I will try that.
I don't really understand rom, I have 2.3 gingerbread, is there something else I can change to perhaps get a better radio signal on this puppy ?
THanks GUys
I have this problem, although until recently it only when trying to use it as satnav.
I'm glad to hear it's a known problem though.
I contacted my provider and they said perhaps the battery is getting tired and causing it to reboot due to lack of power. I pointed out that it was the other components near the sim & sd card slots that were getting hot, not the battery, so they sent me another one. I did buy another battery too and that has made no difference either. As soon as I rooted the replacement phone it started getting warm too. I'm also pretty sure that the "replacement" was a refurbed one, since the optical joystick doesn't always respond and when typing msgs sometimes the vibe feedback stops working mid-word.
It's very frustrating not being able to use it for navigation any more (although it works happily with My Tracks for recording routes).
However since I've rooted it, I don't think I'd get away with requesting another replacement phone. I've tried installing other rom's that might run cooler, but when I do they always lock at the HTC splashscreen and I have to restore nandroid backup.
Hello,
i'm new to XDA developers. Should i buy this phone? I'm thinking about it these days but i'm not sure if it is worth. Thanks for your answers.
The same Problem on my Phone! While charging i can not use my Phone.
My solution: Don't touch while charging. :-(
I think I have same problem...my Desire in regular use get worm at 35% and at 38% burns my hand...and what is wors, for 15/20 min. regular use(not havy or gaming) temp. rise from 28% to 37% but something confuse me...last night I play 3d games for an 1 hour and at 20 min. I put it on charger and continue to play games and 40 min. later temp. is 40% and stil no reboot but butom side of phone(not battery...front side (buttons and screen) and back side) is so hot that I can burn my hand on it. I put statistic that battery indicator show(time,%,temp.). So is it like that to you guys? Is your phone have that heat thing for 15 min. of regular use?
Its pic of last night 3D gaming and its all statistic of temp./ % / time...

simply installed it, and it had it run at lowest speed on idle so it could remain cooler
(you can check the settings on it to see what it runs on idle and modify to your needs anyway)
I have similar problem like yours. I suspect the problem is come from SIM because there is no this kind issue happened IF turn to flight mode or tool out the SIM.

A friend gave me a 11 mth old Wildfire S today. After 3 hrs the phone started playing up, as i was texting halfway it switches itself to dailer, and the search and back to home screen all the time the vibrator feels kinda loose. I checked with my friend if he had this issue, he said the last time he used the phone was a month ago and it was working well.
I thought maybe my sd card was corrupted so I removed it and for a while it was ok but then it started again this time I left it on the table and it started to switch from phone dailer to search then to home and when i wake it i found the ring was not in the center and when i tried to unlock it freezes. Its kinda weird really
Has anyone encountered this before? I search and found nothing that is similar to my problem. Its on stock 2.3.5,
From the receipt the warranty should be good till end of august but the problem i found is that the imei no. on the receipt is different from the phone and its from the teleco which my friend sign for 2 yrs. There's no reason for my friend to lie to me as it was a gift Any help/ Thanks
Has he sent it in for servicing while owning it ?
As for your problem, are you using thehtc wall charger ?
I found that I'd get ghost inputs when charging from my iPod's charger.

Was it anything similar to mine? I was using my S2 charger which I also use on my XL but I did not encounter such problem.
Yep, I would use it for 2-3 minutes and all of a sudden apps would start switching, numbers would dial themselves ...
Try with a HTC one.

Voltage problem. Wfs stock charger says
Output 5V = 1 A, and that is rare to find in non HTC charger.
I have seen that lock screen behavior when I am charging with Samsung charger. But that only happens during charging. If I remove charger it becomes ok.
We have two Wildfire S phones in our house, both exhibit odd behaviour like this. My wife's in particular, previously I put this down to her being less than accurate with what she was pressing but last night was able to replicate what she has described. If the screen lock is off the phone will open the contacts application and dial a number when you put the phone down, sometimes this can be provoked by shaking it. It's as if its responding to the accelerometer somehow?
Also find it regularly refuses to respond to the screen, locking and unlocking frees it up again.
Also struggling with lack of memory.
The S seems to be an inferior phone to the original Wildfire which we also have two of with no problems.
Would different ROM correct the odd behaviour?
Phone is UK spec on Tesco Mobile
Thanks
I get ghost outputs even with the stock charger.. It should be fine if you just charge it overnight, or at a time when you are not using it. I've found though that using my mums Sensation XE charger (Also HTC) the phone will work fine while it is on the charger. Also, don't worry about the IMEI, it has nothing to do with it, that's just your phones identity.
Sorry, forgot to say, we get these issues on battery, not on charge.

Try charging the phone with ur PC... these ghosting effect may be caused due to improper grounding of power outlets... and try it with a HTC cable, if it still plays truant, its time to go to service center i suppose...
Hi guys, just here to report the bad experience I was having with my G3...
I ordered a G3 from eBay and later found that it had some water damage, when I opened it up, I saw that near the charging port, there was some visible marks, that some liquid had been in contact with the phone internals. I was having the following issues:
- Connecting my phone to my PC, the phone started charging but was not recognised, tried on a Mac, Windows and Ubuntu machine and 2 out of 10, I was able to get a proper connection.
- Overheating issues, installing a new ROM would make my phone almost impossible to touch near the camera and even crash some times.
- Trying to install CM12 would cause constant reboots.
- Battery lasting about 4 hours, not screen on time, actual duration, I would unplug at 7am, 5min to check emails, 30min on train using the 9gag app, got to the office at 08:30 and battery at 50% and this was the reason that I ordered a new battery.
And now with the new battery, all of the issues above are gone, so happy now with this awesome phone. Just thought I would share, just in case some of you come across something similar.
Thanks for reading and hope I can help =)
Hi there, I was looking for some ideas about a bizarre battery problem with my daughters xperia zl.
I know this model has had many issues with the battery dying, the net is full of threads about it.I like the phone and have replaced the battery before, and am usually up and running for quite a while.
The last battery died, and I ordered another to replace it.Here's the thing though, the new battery is working when the phone backing is off and is connected to the mainboard. When I install the battery in the phone, and then connect it, it doesn't work.
I find this really bizarre, maybe something is shorting out somewhere?I kind of suspect it could be something to do with the grounding cable (strip that runs across the bottom of battery), but if that was the case, why would it work when the battery is connected outside the phone?
Has anyone else run into a similar scenario?Any ideas would be very helpful, I haven't come across an issue like this before...
Thanks
Turned out to be the battery...
Turned out to be the battery.
I like the phone and finally got around to ordering another battery.I guess it can be hit and miss when it comes to replacements.Hopefully, this one that came from Turkey will give me at least another year or so of use...
Hi
My Z1C is 2,5 years old. I had a custom rom with locked bootloader. About a month ago it started to drop the battery capacity very fast. Today I wanted to speed up the drain and it took 8 minutes of GTA:SA to drop the battery from 65% to 0%. It was dropping slowly from 65% to 50%, then fast to 38% and it shut off at 38%. Then it has completely no power, when I tried to power it on only red led blinks. In normal usage it can drop from 50% to 0% in a half of hour, even when I just check the time.
Xperia Companion repair didn't solve the problem.
Reflash the custom rom and check if this dont work then battery damaged u need to buy new one. Coz battery after 2years of use loses its capacity.
I reflashed it and didn't work. Now I'm using stock rom flashed by Xperia Companion for a week and it also didn't solve the problem. AccuBattery shows that the estimated battery capacity is just 756mAh after a 0-100% charging. I think I will try replacing the battery, hope it will solve the problem, otherwise I will have to throw a fully working and still almost as new looking phone 0_o
I too had Same problem just like yours... Replacing With New battery helped me. But make sure battery is Genuine.
Now I see that the plastic frame is deformed because the the battery has grown up a bit. I can easily put my nail between this plastic frame and the aluminium frame ;d
So I need to buy a new battery, plastic frame, back cover, USB cover, bottom speaker cover and a back protector film. I hope it's worth it.
If the back cover and the other things you mentioned are not damaged you shouldn't buy them.
I had the same problem, buy a new battery and a back cover sticker, with 15€ you will revive your z1c
Notice also that the phone is old, buying things worth 50€ is not a good deal
I bought it all for about 19€. A back cover with a sticker was same price as a sticker only so I bought it
Hey everybody,
I´m new here but read some very heplful post before. So now I have a real issue with my device, same like you.
My Z1c turns off when 50% of battery is used. It mean I can use my phone from 100% to 50% and then it drops to 0% or from 65% to 15% and then 0%...
I read the linked articel from androidpit.com here on xda about battery calibration and I wanted to ty it soon. I relly hope that will fix my problem...
But I´ve noticed something different too.
I dont know if you have the same issue or not but maybe some of you can help me.
I´ve noticed that when I open file commander app and tap on internal storage there are no folders... it says it´s emtpy, no foldes nor files, that´s a little bit weired I think.
And seconde thing I´ve noticed.
When I look up the storage usage in settings, android is calculating App, pictures, audio, downloads, cache data and also misc. but when its finished the misc. section isn´t there anymore I wonder if its normal or not.
In my opinion it´s not usual that the misc. section disappears.
I hope someone can help me with my issues and give me some advice to fix them.
Thanks for your help and I apologize for my bad english...

Hi
I tried one full discharge and then a full charge when the device was powered off and it didn't work. I bought the parts from aliexpress and a local shopping website so I will get them all in a month, then I will replace them, do some tests and post the results here.
About the files, you can try another file manager or clear file commander's data. I use the MK Explorer.
Next question, you just don't have any misc files, but the system has to search them so it appears at the beginnging. If you remove all files from the download folder, it will disappear too
I calibrated the battery and it shuts off at 0% properly, but its capacity is still 700mAh
The battery I bought turned out to be 14W10, so it's older than the original one... And it is complete garbage with 100mAh capacity (power off at 95%, lol).
I need another one.
Is it possible to get a genuine battery produced in 2015+?
I found these 17W, are they fake?

I bought mine 4 weeks ago on amazon. But I am not not sure if you can buy there: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01MZ8RSCK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It is 2500mAh, I don't want my phone to explode
This is only the battery capacity I think. Yes, I was wondering also because the original has 2300. But for me it is working now.
Hi again,
I bought a new battery, maybe it's genuine, maybe not, I'll never be sure. It looks legit anyway. It came without NFC sticker and it was produced in the half of this year. It is running well from the beginning, it took me almost two hours of playing GTA:SA on max settings with 100% brightness and GPS turned on to drop the factory loaded 43% The first result of time with regular usage is shown in the screenshot (stock rom):
AccuBattery stats
Battery usage
Looks good Hope my Z1C would work fine for another year or two

So your mobile got a second life.
Downgrading to a 4.4.4 Cyanogen Rom cured this for me permanently. Still I am trying to find a 5.x or better Rom which has no battery issues...
Hey @jho55, does it still work fine for you?
My phone now needs definitely a new battery.
It turn off at 95%...
@tau45 which battery have you bought?
When I replace it, do I need to flash the Rom again?

Because I could collect it in my city and check it. I had to stick the NFC sticker to this but it was no problem.
You don't need to reflash the ROM

It is still working for me. I also bought the following. Especially the toolkit really helps:
tools: https://www.amazon.de/wortek-Univer...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=WFD1G0EEM8P9XZS014SX
glue: https://www.amazon.de/Dichtung-Akku...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=WFD1G0EEM8P9XZS014SX
You do not need to flash anything again. If you use NFC, you need to add the antenna on the new battery. I am not using it and I will never do, so I just kept it on the old battery.
