Well, the only features I envy from JB is improved notifications and Project Butter (smoother Android). Since I am not in US, other features don't really interest me.

Would Jelly Bean be cm10 or 9

Jelly Bean is about to come out
Cm9 is still being worked on
But usually cm makes the next step of android the next cm
ICS is 4.0 and JB is 4.1
So will cm10 or cm9 be jelly Bean

if you find something I posted helpful please thank me
I'm sure the Cyanogen team will start work immediately once Jellybean source is released. I expect the next CM version to be released around October.

Probably CM10 but you'd have to wait pretty long for stable ROMs and the update to come mid july so the CM team can work on it

Or would it be cm9.something

if they keep their current convention, JB will be CM10.
Both Froyo and Gingerbread were Android 2.x, however they were CM6 and CM7.

[Q] What about JellyBean

Will JellyBean ever be available to Gio? What is your opinion? Do you think it is possible? And what will CM name it?

Yeah, I saw it already...
1. sources will be aviable in 1,5 week ...
2. jellybean runs with some more kernel execute and with the most libs from ics 4.0.4 (cm9) so it will work on gio
3. only a few libs must be rebuilded from source like audio libs, wifi binaries and the buttter libs ....
4. cm10/cm9
explaination: jb are not much modifications.
only butter project and some improvements from google and thats why i think that it falls under cm9
thats all in all for jb

Hardware LG GT540 (msm7227) - dont support triple buffer and vsync. This components need for Project Butter UI which using in 4.1, so I dont sure if 4.1 will work on our phone, maybe CM will make dirty-hack.

Using NFC with screenoff in jellybean

Brand new to the nexus, has anyone been able to use NFC with the screen off on jellybean yet? I saw some of the mods but whenever I did those it broke NFC all the way.
Verizon Galaxy Nexus
Vicious jelly bean 4.1
Francos nightly kernel 220

bumb. Same thing with me. Very interested in a JB version. I'm on Jelly Belly 3.9 and Franco 223.
I think our best bet is to wait until one of the ROMs that has this capability is released on Jelly Bean. There are several for ICS. Unfotunately, I haven't found one yet.
Unofficial AOKP jelly bean preview 6 now has nfc polling options. I flashed it this morning.
I can't post links because I'm a new user, but the thread is on rootzwiki or you can pm me for the link.

Update on Jelly Bean for the t989?

Anyone hear anything lately on the official update? Last I checked the i9100 was to receive it but nothing about the other GSII variants was mentioned. Dying for a stable JB rom WITH driver optimization. If any of you have used a Galaxy Nexus with JB you already know about Project Butter and all its 60fps glory. I for one cannot wait!

It's official. Samsung will be releasing JB for Hercules.

At the moment, there's no 4.2
The only 4.2 option is CM 10.1 right now. I doubt we will see 4.2 officially until some time after the S IV is released with 4.2
Try one of the cm based builds. I've been on the slimbean Rom for about a week and its absolutely fantastic. Great interface tweaks and great battery life. I haven't had any issues with it at all. Faux kernel is what I've been running with.

I think you'll only need to wait for another couple months. With the S4 being launched today, you'll likely see the code released as an update for the older devices.
The only real question is if the premium suite will be included and if so, will it include some of the new S4 features?
