Would Jelly Bean be cm10 or 9 - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Jelly Bean is about to come out
Cm9 is still being worked on
But usually cm makes the next step of android the next cm
ICS is 4.0 and JB is 4.1
So will cm10 or cm9 be jelly Bean

I'm sure the Cyanogen team will start work immediately once Jellybean source is released. I expect the next CM version to be released around October.

Probably CM10 but you'd have to wait pretty long for stable ROMs and the update to come mid july so the CM team can work on it

Or would it be cm9.something

How long do you think it will be until something stable comes out?

if they keep their current convention, JB will be CM10.
Both Froyo and Gingerbread were Android 2.x, however they were CM6 and CM7.

Oh goodie. This is indeed good news. Just needs some time and we will have this baby in no time...
Having SDK released, how much time should pass until an alpha build of Jellybean hits the threads? As the way stands now, you can make a rom using that first SDK release or we need to wait until updates will roll out [sdk updates]?
whoaa super cool

The SDK is for app developers. Serious Jelly Bean ROM development will not start until the source is released, probably in a month or two.

Changes are great. I wonder if Project Butter will be included in the next month AOSP! Do you imagine running JB at 60 FPS? Our ONE V is capable of that!
Hi all. Can anyone please tell me if One V is getting JB? I dont see why it shouldn't but just wanted to confirm.

This is incorrect for two reasons.
1. It is not an OTA update, that will not arrive until sometime July. It is a preview build that was leaked and can be installed on any GNex.
2. Just because a GNex build was released, does not mean the source is available.
This makes me super excited. Just watch this youtube clip:

Google voice search in jelly bean beats the current rendition of Siri by a tonne!
I can't wait for my buttery One V

yeah! but we still have a great deal of finding the right fix for wifi/camera/bluetooth/usb in cm9... so jb will have to wait for our device, unless htc will push it to our phone.

Hah! That's not gonna happen for a very long time, I think.
And when it does, HTC is going to cripple it with sense.

Android 4.1.1

I've seen this a couple places...anyone know what changed from 4.1.0?

4.1 isn't released yet, so i doubt 4.1.1 is in the making yet.

4.0.1 was the first official release of ICS. The source that was released today was given the version number 4.1.1.
4.1.1 was just pushed to AOSP last night, first build is here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762875, have a play around and you tell us
it has actually

Actually it has. :good: It was released today as a AOSP build and you can build for the GNexus then.
Thanks Would be nice

Was a little late
here's the build from bigxie http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28535553&postcount=3058 it includes Google Now (Velvet.apk) since the AOSP does not have it and there's no proper GAAPS for 4.1.1 yet.
We should return to the OPs original question. What's new in 4.1.1? Is there a change log?
Yes can anyone provide a change log? As much as I love android.. I hate it when they do this :crying::crying::crying::crying:
i think for changelog we need to explore ourselves since it not not OTA yet. once we have OTA then i think most of the changelogs would be revealed. for now its try and tell. one thing i know from bigxie thread is that, the delay when opening apps are fixed.

Update on Jelly Bean for the t989?

Anyone hear anything lately on the official update? Last I checked the i9100 was to receive it but nothing about the other GSII variants was mentioned. Dying for a stable JB rom WITH driver optimization. If any of you have used a Galaxy Nexus with JB you already know about Project Butter and all its 60fps glory. I for one cannot wait!

We need more devs like you working on cm10.1. My main want is a full stable CM9 for wildfire s. I develop roms myself so I was going to ask if I could help.
Mobile Data
Is the mobile data problem resolve with this future rom?
**Update**
We haven't built it, we haven't started it. We didn't specify a time range, or what will be in it. We merely said we would be porting android 4.2

At the moment, there's no 4.2
The only 4.2 option is CM 10.1 right now. I doubt we will see 4.2 officially until some time after the S IV is released with 4.2
Try one of the cm based builds. I've been on the slimbean Rom for about a week and its absolutely fantastic. Great interface tweaks and great battery life. I haven't had any issues with it at all. Faux kernel is what I've been running with.

I think you'll only need to wait for another couple months. With the S4 being launched today, you'll likely see the code released as an update for the older devices.
The only real question is if the premium suite will be included and if so, will it include some of the new S4 features?
