I recently shot a video at work using my oneX but stupidly held the phone the wrong way up, so when viewing the vid you have to turn your head to view it the right way up. i have tried using windows movie maker on my pc, but although that rotated it ok it also made the image really small?!? (i shot it at 1080p and converted it to the same before bunging it on windows). Can anyone suggest a video editor (preferably free but not nescessary) thats easy to use and will not shrink my vid when its been rotated please?
heres the vid so you can see what i mean...

Hi everyone, i'm new at using a smartphone and am really glad i came across this resourceful forum!
I recently got a HTC HD and managed to figure out how to install coreplayer on the cell, but can't get the video to play at full screen (when the phone is sideway and horizontal, like the PSP)
could someone please help me figure this out? does it have this function? or do i need another player that has this function? i can't seem to find the answer anywhere....please help....
Personally I just tap the video on the screen twice and it goes fullscreen, other than that I think Menu > Options > Fullscreen will do it.
does the video have to be converted or encoded a special way? because i put a normal .avi file in the sd card and played that but it won't go full screen. when i double click or select full screen, the video stays the same. what should i do?
I'm very curious with TV Out Picture Quality? It's better than Touch Pro or not, what about the resolution (still 480x800 on TV or not) ? My dream is use this features to surf internet on my 50 inch HDTV
For what it's worth, I tested it with video and Video-googles - and it works just great.
The video googles are "only" 640x480 , I did not test internet & stuff like that - if I find an old-fashion TV - I'll test .
(in my house, there is only MediaPortal + DLP projector/and 30" displays) - without composite input. - Projector does have, but they are installed so nicely into ceiling, it's hard to get to.)

If you want I can get some pictures of the device showing on an LCD projector tomorrow. Let me know.
Thanks Bro, It would very nice if we can see it on picture , I hope we can view all Pro2 activity on tv out like video call, editing office mobile, reading ebook/comic, playing games and many more that will make Pro2 as our media center, very
OK sorry for the delays people, I haven't forgotten.
All content is hosted on my home server so can't guarantee the speeds or availability.
All photos were taken in a moderately dark room and the images shown on a 78" 4:3 IWB (interactive whiteboard) with a 4:3 projector. Hence the image is letterboxed.
When running in TV-out mode, the phone will REMAIN in landscape mode even when the keyboard closed.
My first tests were with CorePlayer. I was also unable to play and show movies in CorePlayer properly, there was weird blue bands running all over the screen during playback. I also tried the YouTube Player which worked fine though.

The quality seems OK but due to the limitations of composite video, you if there is too much fine detail its going to look like s**t. For example check the following shots of Opera both zoomed in and out.

You can see when zoomed out that the text is not very readable.

On connection of the cable you get a default launch screen.

Hello all
I've seached and searched but cannot find a solution...
I have recorded many movieclips with my digitalcamera of my family on vacations and so on which I would like to watch on my Desire. The format is MP4.
My problem is that there are many videoplayers on the market that plays mp4 but they all play the videos in a wrong resolution. As if the program zooms in and only shows a small part of the movie...?
Only Rockplayer is able to show the correct format but since I'm not rooted I would very much like a smaller aplication...
The strange thing though is that the build in player used to play in the correct resolution/format but now also zooms in... Is there a way to change this back?
I hope you will help me!
Tried searching but didn't find this question.
I have made picture video with music of my little girl to leave with her for one day.
I have used DVD Catalyst 4 to convert them. It says the specs are converted to 1280x720. When I watch them on the phone the pictures are cropped at the top and bottom so I can't see all the picture.
The video looks perfect while playing on the computer.
So does anyone know of a different, ????x???, screen size so the pictures match my compter?
Thanks so much if you can help.

Hi Antonio,
Thank you for using DVD Catalyst,
Check the player you are using on your Samsung Galaxy S3. It could be that it is set to some Zoom setting that cuts off the video.
The files that DVD Catalyst 4 creates should play in all the video players, so you might want to try the Gallery app and/or the Google Videos app as well, and see if that makes a difference.
If that doesn't help, it is probably easier to just send me an email directly. Just tap on the "email us" button in DVD Catalyst, or use dvdcatalyst at gmail dot com.

Thanks,
No matter what video player I tried, BS Player, Stock video player, Rock Player, the zoom button did nothing at all on all 3.
Could not get it so I tried the drag and drop and let the phone convert it and it turned out perfect.
I just read some people are having issues with this method about the video not playing so I never tried it.
So I've tried search everywhere. It seems like when you output via HDMI, there are black bars on the side of the screen and it the image isn't really a full screen resolution. Is there any way to make the output for HDMI properly scale to the TV/monitor resolution? The only thing that does this properly is the stock video app, which sucks when trying to play MKV files cause of no audio. I'm only concerned with playing videos, is there any video app that can do this automatically? Or any way to rescale the resolution to fit the monitor?
The only way I've really seen it work is through some Nexus 10 script, but I'm not rooted
I wanna know too.. Anyway what method u said might work?
Have u tried using screen mirroring in the settings? I'm not sure if it's my third party mhl cable that is the problem as they said it it was unable to start.
