No matter what from I flash and its been many lately... I keep finding myself going back to venums hydra rom. Still rocking it! I like paranoid but this one is more stable and I like its customizability better. The only thing its missing is hybrid settings. Period.
I flash, and always end up running Blazer 4.1 again. Ive since stopped flashing roms. Being a flashaholic with this device just isnt fun anymore. We need ICS. We need SOURCE!

yes, every single dev is switching to the gs3. there will be absolutely zero dev work on this device once the gs3 is freely available to all.

Hi, which is the best rom for the GSM Galaxy Nexus in terms of stability and performance?
There is no one best ROM. Everyone uses their devices differently & wants different features. Check out the development section & try some to find the one that suits you.

Thanks I got tired of saying it. There is another thread just like this literally a few posts under this one.
"Long is the way, and hard, that out of hell leads up to light."
Theres no best ROM but you should start form the most popular ones to test out ... AOKP/CM7 and such
Oi,.

It really depends on what you want.
Speed, better battery, features, and customizing.
Like stated before look at the room threads, see what it offers, see what problems people are having with it. And make your own decision

Really? they said it was for htc evo 4g lte.Is it different from my htc evo 4 g sprint? Is that so' could you recommend jb rom with
camera capable for my device?
The evo 4g lte is a different phone. As far as a good jellybean rom goes u should try them all and see which u like. I personally prefer team dirts code name android. But there are several out just as good.

Who said the devs weren't afraid of bricks? They're just generally good at avoiding them because they understand Android and their phones better than most folks. It comes with the developer territory. Anyway, I've seen plenty of devs have to quit maintaining ROMs or kernels because of bricks. They just don't generally make super-obnoxious "OMG MY PHONE IS DEAD!!!11!1 SOMEBODY HELP!!1!" threads when it happens, so it stays out of the public's attention.

Ooh interesting, thanks guys, that makes me respect them devs even more
I think that (for nostalgia purposes) it would be cool to have pre gb Roms like cupcake, doughnut, eclair, or froyo.
I don't know if the source code is availiable, but it would be awesome to have a Petit Four (1.1).
I don't know if this is possible, but it really would be cool to see.
Not really possible or worth it in my opinion.

Wouldnt it be easier just to theme it over a GB or ICS Rom?
Also, before Froyo (2.2) there was no multi touch/pinch to zoom. The farther you go back the more features you're cutting out. Gingerbread is personally the farthest back I would run and that's only for nostalgia as it was where I started developing.

Well, Sony hacked up a way to get multi-touch on 2.1 , but that was only exclusive to the XPERIA X10
Aside from the above responses, this device shipped with 2.3.4, so anything before that and the necessary drivers for the hardware won't function or will need to be completely re-written.
I was wondering what people are doing with their 5X's. The Nexus devices use to be a safe haven for ROM users, but with stock Android getting so good with monthly updates, and Android Pay not being usable on a custom ROM, custom ROM's have been a lot less appealing to me.
Nonetheless, I believe that this device suffers from MAJOR optimization issues, and the combination of CM13 and ElementalX kernel solves a lot of these issues, yet I feel like I'm missing out without the possibility of using Android Pay.
I have also grown tired of factory resetting my phone after doing it countless times over the last few years, and I'm ready to not have to do that for a long while, and the most obvious option for that is sticking with stock.
So what are you guys doing? Sticking with stock? Or are you using some custom ROM as a daily driver?

Did someone say custom ROM?
Flashing is addicting. Fun too. And there isn't anything wrong that. If you have the time and patience it is an excellent hobby.
Sounds like it's getting old to you. Maybe it's time to take a break. Try stock unrooted (or rooted) for a week or so and see if it works out for you. If not flash away. You won't be out anything.
I'm on day 3 of stock unrooted (for the best buy deal). I'm going to see how long I can stay this way.
