Compcache and Fix Redraws - Samsung Galaxy W I8150

I'm just curious if anyone here disables compcache and done this fix redraws? http://www.droidforums.net/forum/liquid/102674-disable-enable-compcache-fix-redraws.html anyways if this really can lessen the lag then can someone confirm this? and i can't see the compcache at /system/bin/ maybe it doesn't really exist on our W?

Compcache is a mod. Does not exist on stock. Anyway, compcache is known for causing lag for some users.

I think you'll get the best answer from google..
Cz sometimes people understand the meaning, but cant explain it to other people..

Mod: something that changes your system just a little bit. Like changing the ui or changing an app.
Rom: A third party custom firmware for your phone (rom is also short form for read-only memory)
Kernel: Tells your hardware what to do, borrowed from linux (i think)
Script. Small set of instructions that tell your phone what to do. Often to your advantage.
Helpful?

Instagram & Android Jelly Bean

Instagram is having horrible bugs ever since I updated to Jelly bean 4.1.2, I'm currently AOKP's current ROM w/ no custom kernel. I also was having the same problem running CM10. I'm just wondering if anyone else is having problems with instagram regarding the xamera
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
I'm running the same setup and I haven't had a single problem with instagram.
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda premium
That's really strange, what do you think could be the problem?? Once I take a photo the picture isn't viewable because its constantly flickering in the editing stage but once I continue to write a comment for the picture its visible....
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
I am also having the exact same issue - I'm using CM10
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Same issues here. I've flashed clean to CM10 and still experience the flicker.
*Disabling HW Overlay in Developer Options fixes the issues temporarily.*
Same issue with AOKP
Could I just be because we are running Jelly Bean & instagram hasn't updated yet??

I was thinking the same.

What exactly does it do when I disable HW overlay??
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
"Hardware overlay ensures everyone has their own partition of memory so they don't have to do those checks and so latency to render things on the screen decreases dramatically."
Quick search on Google. I haven't noticed a difference in speed after disabling it.

it`s absolutely vital to the phone, is one of the main cores of the android system.. i cant recall exactly what is doing tho, but i remember that you cant disable, or anything like that.. from what i have read other ppls using different roms seem to have the same problem with netd eating up the cpu, and some of them said that it was somewhat related to some specific governors...so try to switch from whatever governor you are now to a different one and see if it helps
the thing is, that the lib isnt needed for gio/ace/mini/fit ...
Maybe the try to load it makes more ram consumption, but it can be easy disabled in source

It has something to do with the wifi interface. I had netd-hangs everytime I had wifi & 3G on while no known wifi network was around me. Since I'm disabling wifi when I leave home, I didn't had any hangs anymore. Changing governor doesn't help, tested by myself.

Don´t know what post you are reading and who is giving such advices, as it´s anyway enabled in Arcos roms. The only thing you can additionally do is to force 2D apps to use GPU rendering as well insteed of using CPU rendering.
In games the GPU and its rendering is anyway used, so that´s pure nonsense and has no sideeffect when forcing other 2d apps to use it as well.

sd speed increase

Who knows wich is the System file that this apps change? Just becouse i want do this manually and don't take space for those apps on my ram
