Yes.
"Set alarm for [time]."
or
"Set alarm for [duration until you want the timer to go off]."
Both works.

This is not a new feature. Voice Search or Actions or whatever they call it has been able to do this for quite some time...

n00b lol. it's there to allow you to change what keyboard you're using. if you know you specifically want to use one and never change it then disable the rest of them in language and input under settings and it'll disappear.

It's part of ICS. Was a little odd to see at first, but a handy way of switching keyboards. I suggest you get used to it cause future versions might still have this as part of the OS.

Just search the threads for how to root your phone. Its easy takes about 10-15 minutes not even. Then after you have root, download the app from the play store and uninstall anything you want, just be careful not to uninstall the wrong thing.

Possibility of making camera flash go off when I receive a text?

My phone often does not vibrate when I receive a text and I often have it with the screen facing down. I know with useless iOS it is possible, so I would assume my droid can do it as well, but I have now idea how to do it...... Any ideas? I am running CM10. Thanks

Is it set to vibrate under settings in your messaging app?

I'm sure you could set up tasker https://play.google.com/store/apps/...askerm&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd to do that for you if you really want to.

Yeah I got that app and had the same problems, ditched it, although the features and concept were really nice.. You would think google would fix their terrible contact photo resolution and implement something like that too..

Finally an in call landscape screen

Thank you Google, better late than never.
How is that even remotely necessary? The earpiece is on the top of the phone and the mic on the bottom.
When in the car dock.

Hey I am also running 4.2... but my call screen is still stuck in portrait. Is there an option to enable it?
Thanks!
Only saw it when in car mode in the car dock.
Not sure how to get into it any other way.

There is a car mode enabling app in play store just don't remember how it's called. This will make stock launcher and dialer rotate as well as apps list

I did it with an app called Rotation Lock (Adaptive) just select the option that says Force Auto.

I'm far from an expert I'll admit but pretty sure here in UK where I took the picture its 'Dialling' more often than 'Dialing', therefore correct.
Maybe not the same on the other side of the pond as per many other words.

"Dialling" is correct. "Dialing" is an alternate spelling.

S beam widget

I find myself transferring and using the NFC/S beam a lot with my friends. I don't like to keep it on all the time to save battery.
Do you guys know of any toggle or widget to make the on/off process faster?
What do you use?
Sent from my SGH-T999
I think Switch pro widget allows you to make a an NFC on/off toggle widget. Check it out:

Its ¢.99, but it may be just what you're looking for

What do you mean by that? There is no such thing as settings/s beam without going through "more settings", at least on Touchwiz. Please elaborate.

Thanks for the suggestion, I have downloaded the app and it does have an NFC toggle that takes you straight to the NFC/S beam setting. It would have been nice for the switch to turn it on.

I'm completely stock as well, when you choose the settings Widget, it would give you the option to choose s beam, a lot easier than going under settings, and more settings...
