If you pull the battery out and put it back in, can you get into recovery with the power button and volume down key?

did that may be ten times but same result not able to boot into bootloader my phone is not recognised even by my computer please help
I think you should do it faster,
Pull the battery out and press power button
insert the battery in and press volume down
I think the problem is the device start on after you pull back the battery ..!
Insert the battery, than press volume down and after that, press the power button (keep holding the volume down button!).
Than it should work.

lmfao relax. Hold your volume button down, hold the end key down(the button you hang up the phone with) then push the power button.
When your phone boot you should see a gray screen that say serial, plug your device into the computer and serial should change into usb. Then run the rom and there u go

Doesn't that trigger Ramdump mode (well, I don't know what that means, actually)?
All the OP needs is to go to Bootloader Mode to flash a ROM via USB. Bootloader is easily accessed by: Turn off phone, then press/hold Volume Down + Power button.
thanks guys, ive been using android, and never a minmo device, thanks everyone!!

If you read the sticky posting on Task29, you would see it tells you that this is normal behavious for Task29, and it also tells you how to get out of it

Sortof. I just tried task29 for the first time a few days ago. I freaked out when I got in the same situation as him, but then read through the thread. There's the option of shutting the phone off, and pressing vol down + power key. I ended up doing vol down + power key + push reset with stylus at the startup screen. Simplest solution for me.
taking off the battery, istnt that simplest?
Amd here is the theme about this

In the very first posting of the Task29 thread, it says :
When phone boots to "Touch Pro 2" screen (or whatever your splash screen happens to be), I hold down the volume down button while hitting the reset button.

IMO, the smartest thing to do is when Task29 is near 100% (I think it pauses at around 96%), hold down the Volume Down button. That way, when the phone (tries to) reboots, it goes straight to Bootloader.
thanks all you have been more than helpful, ive been using this site for a while (for my android device) but just recently made an account. All of you keep on getting it done!!!
Moved as not ROM Development.

Hey, I have a Touch Pro2 and I tried the key combination above and it didn't work for me. I did get it to work however using the send key (green button) instead of the end key....
I.e, held volume down button, held send key and pressed power key once... ;-)
Phone MUST be off before doing the key combo...
Hey guys
i tried to get in fastboot mode by holding volume down+power.
it didn't work so i tried it with volume up+power. then it vibrates more intensely and the hboot logo flashes for a second and then it turns off.
i cant even boot the phone right now as it just boots in to hboot logo and then it turns off. i tried also to get in fastboot but in shows up for 2 seconds and then it shuts off.
my bootloader is locked and im on stock
please help me
many thanks in advance
Check if fast-boot in settings is disabled or not. If not, disable it. Then try vol down plus power button.
Does adb detect your phone? Alternatively, you can also do : adb reboot bootloader
Edit : My bad. Saw that you can't boot.
See that your phone is charged and then try vol down trick.
hey
just got it replaced at the store. But thanks for the reply +1
I have a desire hd which was previously at Android 2.3 Sense 2.1. I used AAHK2 fastboot mode to install custom unlocked hboot. After custom hboot was installed, I downloaded the official update for Sense 3.0 Android 2.3.5. The update downloaded and booted into recovery and it stuck on the recovery. After some time, the stuck still remained so I removed the battery and tried to reboot into bootloader but instead of bootloader, the same recovery opens which is stuck. Please help sorry for my bad english.
Bootloader not opening nor phone showing any response when I connect it to PC in semi-recovery state.
can you more cleared explained what do you mean by "semi recovery state"?
is the phone still can turn it on..?
what happen while you tried pressing and holding vol down+power button...?

Thanks for your reply, I have attached the screenshot to show you what I mean by semi-recovery state. When I tried pressing the Vol Dn + Power button, the screenshot I attached appears. Also, I wanted to tell you that before applying the official update, I used AAHK 2 to attain S-OFF and SuperCID on my device :'(

if the process bar is not ever finish..just tried removed your battery..then removed your sdcard too..then put it in back again just your battery (leave the sdcard out)..then try it to booting your phone to the bootloder with pressing and hold vol down+power again..just let me know what happen..?

The green loading bar always stucks when I power on the phone (left for almost 1 hour), and the same semi-recovery state opens after I removed sd card and battery and pressed the Vol Dn+Power

Yeah also tried that :'( . Computer not giving response. Also if I press vol Up + power, a red led blinks, if I press Vol Up+Vol Dn + Power button, a stable yellow LED lights up and if I connect my cell to the PC in such state, a Qualcomm CDMA notification pops up in my PC as "driver not found'

did you already tried removed the battery in some of hours..maybe?, what happen after that if tried press and hold vol down+power again..?
if still can't go to bootloader..i think there's no way to fix your back to normal again...unless you brought it to the service center to do flashing of emmc chip from the beginning again..
sorry i can't help you more than this..

Yeah I think I have to give my phone for flashing in local mobile market as the HTC service centres aren't available in my country, Anyways, thank you very much for your support
I wiped my phone and tried rebooting it to recognize my microsd card after wiping the phone and putting the ROM I wanted on the microsd card.
Now it is stuck on the HTC logo white screen and I have tried adb commands and nothing works and I have tried the light trick on the front camera (like on the m7) and that didnt work. I have pressed the power + vol down for a while now and nothing is working. what should I do?
edit: Right after I posted this I pressed the vol up and down button with the power button and it worked... I dont get it. anyways thanks!
You must hold volume up + power to reboot and then volume down to enter bootloader.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using xda app-developers app
Happened to me yesterday. I was trying to install a recovery and the recovery never installed properly. So when I tried to boot to recovery, it just showed the box with the the red triangle.
The phone wouldn't restart or anything. Pressing and holding the power didn't work. No adb either. I was afraid that I would have to wait for ~70% battery to drain. LoL!!
But holding power eventually worked like 5 minutes later. *whew*
hold volume up + power to reboot and then volume down to enter boot loader.
My ADB is On in settings and I can use ADB normal. But when my Phone is off I can't turn it on anymore the only way would be with ADB command: ADB reboot devices!
Power button + Volume UP/DOWN isn't working anymore...
The thing is, when connecting my Phone to my PC after it gets off it will show the charging animation. And when my phone reached 100% it stays in the animation and doesn't boot up. ADB isnt working in that state.
How can I boot my phone?? Pls I hope someone can help me PLS PLS
You must try conclude pins on motherboard for button volume up when you connecting USB cable, after that fastboot was started and you can type fastboot reboot command on pc.

If you have power and volume-down buttons functioning, boot the phone with the power button and when the bootloader unlocked warning comes up, press the volume-down button and you will get the options for restart, fastboot, recovery etc. Simply choose what you want with the volume-down button and confirm with the power button.
