Hello,
I just noticed this website
buynfctags . com/nfc-tags/key-chains/nfc-key-fob-ulc.html
My question is, are these tags writable like the Xperia SmartTags?
Can I use them with my Galaxy Nexus?
is 144 bytes enough for tasker tasks?

144 bytes is plenty. Very few vendors sell write-locked tags.
See here:

FYI I just received the outdoor sample kit and the tags are all writable etc. Looks to be decent quality as well.

So, the next craftsmen decided to port Android on Samsung Wave. Information about this published administrator Polish-bada-world.pl with nick watero. In his message, stated that he and his friends from Russia and Belarus (!!!) eyeing the possibility of porting Google Android on Samsung Wave and now the project has a code name AndroBada. In fact, it is very difficult to read translated from Polish into english text, but the total amount of information you can understand that in the course of viewing the inside of firmware (including JE7 from the Polish operator Orange), the guys found some security holes. These holes seem to be as allow you to download Android for Samsung Galaxy S without affecting the security of the system itself in any way.
Also known major problems faced by them boys:
1) the problem with memory - the system does not see all 512 MB of memory and it is unknown whether this is due to the fact that memory is somehow divided into sectors or is it 1) the problem with memory - the system does not see all 512 MB of memory and it is unknown whether this is due to the fact that memory is somehow divided into sectors or is it just-ish two "strips" of 256 MB. And this is the "POP" in Samsung CPU...
Major difference is NAND.
S8500 have 2GB moviNand from Samsung (KLM2G1DEDD-A101)
S8530 uses SanDisk... iNand

Guys,
I no where see any kind of message in "http://bada-world.pl/androbada/" about the demo video, even one of the user in that forum claims that it was posted by XDA. am i missing anything?? else google translate not working properly
I knew the Wave had 512mb of RAM, stupid harvy mundane.

Looking to buy the Iconia Tab A100 for my son. I have an Asus transformer and i love it, but wanted to get him something smaller. This tab seems to be a nice one. I wanted to make sure of the following things.
1) Movies work (avi)
2) Netflix works (without root)
3) any good "kid type" case reccomendations?
Thanks for help
Hello friend! I will do my best to provide relevant answers to your questions!
1) Most movies do work! Even in resolutions of 720p and 1080p. Of course, not all video files are encoded correctly. There can be wide degrees of variation in quality between video files; trying to play a 1080p avi movie file with an extremely high bitrate (much like how MP3s are in 128 kilobytes per second(kbps), 192kbps, 256kbps, 320kbps etc) will cause stuttering and jittery playback. But the Tegra 2 platform can play 1080p content. Perhaps an SD card with high read speeds could remedy this (or using SD-Booster to bolster the read-ahead value of the SD card) but I am not certain, as I have not extensively tested this.
2) Netflix works, albeit a bit jittery in operation (i.e. browsing instant play selections) but video works great. Being rooted does not affect its operation.
3) I have not looked into kid-friendly accessories, but browsing Amazon's selection of A100 accessories may yield a nice prize.
And by the way, I am selling my own Iconia A100 tablet.
Cheers!
What about skype video, will this work?
Why are you selling? How Much?

Sorry mate, the tab has been sold already. I sold it because I found myself using it less and less after getting my shiny new Sensation.
Haven't tested sky video calling on it, so I cannot comment.
Cheers!
anyone else know if skype works on A100?

Does Tectitle / smarttag work as regular nfc tag ?
Does Tectitle / smarttag app work with regular nfc tag ?
Yes and Yes.
so I'll buy regular tags .. those tags from samsung and sony too high
The only advantage to tectiles is that you can walk into a store and get a pack to try. No shipping, etc. Otherwise online is way cheaper.

Yes it works.
I've tried using my HTC phone + blank tags + TecTiles App and it all works!
It should work without issues but there's not benefit compared to "usual" tags
oh
my tags from Web Evolved are working just fine with the NFC task app
Hello
It is possible to use a nfc scanner in the Samsung Galaxy S3 to scan microchip that like in our pets? I try to scan a one of the microchip, but phone don`t do anything with it. It not giving any information or "beep" - connection sound. It is possible to scan it with any software?
As far as I know those are LF RFID chips. Maybe there are newer types who operates on HF (13.56mhz).

You will likely have little luck there. RFID implants for animals have been around since the 1990s and there are several incompatible product lines of them (each requiring it's own reading device). Those implants are merely transponders in the 100 kHz range. They are designed to be powered up by the reading device and just beam back the serial number, they have in their ROM. NFC, builds on RFID, but is standardized. It allows two way communication and larger tags can hold several kilobytes of data. The bigger datastorage mandates that data is exchanged at a higher frequency (10 MHz range) in order to do it in the same time. Different frequencies require different antennas. Different antennas mean more hardware cost. So ... there you have it.

To read it with you NFC phone: Nothing, can't be done. Those tags would need to work with 13.56Mhz.
If you want to read it, buy the corresponding RFID reader.
Does anyone know where I can find NFC tags with more than the tiny 150b available in the NTAG203?
I'm looking for ones that are compatible with all devices, so the mifare ones won't work.
I read a press release from a company called Inside Secure that said they made 2K NFC tags that were type 4 compliant, but cannot find any of their tags anywhere.

Desfires should work with the S4 (it's using the Broadcom controller which supports Type 4 tags). Otherwise you can find 512 byte Topaz tags.

DESfire EV1 tags. Plastic card size, I purchased one of the 8kb ones and yes it works on S4.
