Why there aren't ant developers doing custom rom's for Lumia 900?
Lumia 800 have it.
The developers haven't found a way to exploit the phone yet so we can fully unlock it. Without a full unlock, we can't flash ROMs.

my uncle bought a pad in china produced by gorld, model w 800. a frien of him managed to make it work with android 2.1 but I can't find the way to update it. I need maybe to root it, to install another android. someone has previous experience with this device? I know that Gorld 600 e-reader is quite known. Unfortunately it seems that at Gorld they don't need to put their website in english.

P6, of course. The Windows sucks. And the P6's HW parameters (except the LTE) are better.
Lumia 920 wouldn't be able to update to the latest version of windows right ?
Other than that,
1) What do you mainly want from a phone ?
2) What do you like on the Lumia 920 ?
3) What do you like on the Ascend P6 ?
For what price can you get them ? I got mine for free and I am perfectly happy with it! I would prefer the P6 over any windows phone I think. At least for now, Windows is not developed enough. For now. But try both of them in your hands (if you can).

Currently I am thinking of buying this phone, or Xperia Z2. In Egypt they are very closely priced with the 820 at 3100 L.E and the Xperia Z2 at 3400 L.E and the difference is not going to be much. So, if I am buying the 820 will i be missing on so much ? is the 820 capable of handling the most hardcore games out there? and most importantly, is there any current (or incoming) developer support for the 820 (Root, Recoveries, Mods, Roms, etc) because this is one of the main reason i buy android phones.

If u like htc sense ui then HTC desire 820 is good for you .otherwise go for Xperia Z2
I heared that HTC desire 820 having heat issues on Heavy usage as users reported.

Hello, now we have lumia 950 and 950XL which run the same OS build and have somewhat similiar hardware as older lumias. We also have interop and full unlock, so is it possible to import drivers from them?

Also, USB-C Dual Role is not the same as USB-OTG.
But why android devices with similar hardware , usb type, same processor and stuff have OTG working? Do they have special hardware for this?

My friend's HTC Desire 816 is pretty similar to my lumia 640 XL, and OTG works on his device. BTW, HTC One M8 has OTG support, and it seems that windows version doesn't.
Yeah, look like Microsoft doesn't support OTG in WP. It has dismantled a myth then.
I'm sceptical... My Lumia 925 has a Snapdragon S4 which is described as USB OTG compatible....

it may not be hardware issue ,it requires drivers that will come with firmware, MS had no intention to support older devices with new features like ,call recording,USB-OTG,etc,no firmware updates for older devices ,may be feedback may help on this

Hello, I really thought it would be a fun experiment to install Windows 10 mobile on a HTC desire 820q. It has a Snapdragon 410, and some windows 10 mobile phones and phablets have that same chip under the hood. Sadly, I can't find any images to flash using the bootloader, nor any other android releases except kitkat (factory). I would really apreciate a working and tested image.
