If I install a ota update through stock recovery will it wipe my data

I have completely stock note 2. I try update it to 4.1.2 it keeps saying fail. Can I update from odin?

Can I update being rooted, I have T999UVUEMJC and i want to update to T999UVUENC2
Can I do it via ODIN ? And will i loose my data

Flsshing via odin won't wipe data. Use root66 firmware to remain rooted.
