I have an issue with my keyboard not entering the characters I press. I am running MIUI and had installed Swype when I was having the issue but now I've uninstalled it and am still having the same issue. I have now flashed to Cyanogen stable mod and am still having the same issue. I'm not having issues with any other part of the screen.
Any ideas?
hi, i am new to this posting stuff so dont bother criticizing.
Anyway, i am running the ICS Port version Alpha 0.4.1 and it runs beautifully, everything that is stated to work does work, and like a charm.
My problem is, i cant download anything! In the marketplace, the "downloading" bar just sits on the "download" part and anything from the internet just hangs on the "download" part. Does anyone know how to fix this? please help as i can get NO apps or anything at the moment.
Which hboot do you use and which version did you download?
Swyped from ICS with Transparent XDA App
I have a weird issue. Currently running Phantom's newest ROM and Swype beta. I install swype with no problems and at first it runs fine, but after a while, swype stops functioning properly. When I try to swype it says please try again and it doesn't recognize my swyping. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it several times and the same thing keeps happening. I don't have an issue with force closing, it's just like the application itself bugs out. Anyone have similar problem?
Hello all,
I'm running into an issue when trying to change the build.prop to 240DPI. I used rom toolbox and a couple other LCD density modder apps from the play store. Each one causes my phone to get stuck at the Samsung logo, doing a cache wipe allows it to load to the "Android is updating" screen then once complete reboots and gets stuck again in boot. I am using a stock debloated rom by Geo411m. I also loaded up some 240DPI modded apps to play nicely with the new DPI but havent gotten to test it. I am using the stock touchwiz launcher, so could that be the issue?
just an update I installed Apex launcher and then removed defaults for the launcher. Set the DPI in Rom Toolbox and rebooted. I was able to successfully reboot this time. Only issue I have now is that I use the PIN unlock for the phone while crashes soon as you being entering your PIN. So looks like another system restore for me..... :crying:
forgot to mention I wiped cache and also fixed permissions.... now waiting on the restore to try it all again..
Strange...boot loops would happen to me on my Note 1 when I changed the DPI manually (like through root explorer) but when I used ROM toolbox it would work fine. If you want 240 dpi, I would suggest using DAGr8's hybrid ROM. I was running it at 240dpi with no problems. You also have to flash his multi dpi fix zip though because some of the stock apps won't be formatted properly.
so i finally got a working (somewhat) install of cm 10.2 only to have it boot up and have the aosp keyboard crash before i can enter any of my account info. so fresh install it does the samsung logo the cm boot logo and then cyanogenmod account signin and as soon as that screen loads pop up saying aosp has stopped. ive tried clearing data and everything but if i cant use the keyboard i cant connect to wifi and i cant go to anywhere to get a new keyboard. Help? anybody else get this?
Same problem: I have a solution
I have the exact same problem. i updated on my s3 i9300 from cm 10.1 to 10.2 and everything was fine until boot completed - the aosp keyboard kept crashing and my soft buttons aren't working either. the problem is with the gapps, you have to flash a compatible gapps, you must have installed another one right? go to goo.im and flash a jb 4.3 gapps. i'm doing the same bro :good:
