Can someone make a stock ICS Rom, is there even a rom on the t989 like that. There's just ****ty touchwiz ics roms. Even the ones without touchwiz still have the touchwiz apps.

I don't know a whole lot about this ROM or team passion, but I thought maybe starting a thread about it we could all learn a little / keep track of updates and progress. From what I've heard, they haven't built anything using our newly acquired source, but those who have ran what they have so far seem to love it.. What you guys think?

Its bad azz! but suffers from the same low call volume has iisues with wifi and I noticed my phone was getting hot also.
Other then that its a beautiful rom.
This install method is awesome but not all of the features worked for me... also a lot of ppl have reported that it doesn't boot ... I think the solution to this is u have to come from a 4.0.4 rom ...

I've tired flashing chimera atleast 10 times and I've never. Gotten it to work. Not even after countless help from other members, so I just gave up. Lol I heard it's a beast of a rom. Look up "ics passion" group on Facebook. That's their official group and they also have a website. I believe it's team-passion dot com but I don't really quite remember lol

If you are coming from a tw ics rom it most likely will fail. I flashed it from stock ics and it failed 4 times i then flashed a cm9 and the directly flashed this and it booted fine. I heard the dev say this as well
Also when u are installing in the beginning in aroma installer u can choose custom install and u can pick radios.
I was only getting signal with Kid radio

Trying it out now but rotation is backwards. Just disabled auto rotate now I'll check out the rest. Flashed over latest aokp not cm9 so that probably caused it.
While I appreciate the extra work making it with aroma, I really wish they didn't force their radio choices on you. I was doing just fine with my radio.

Using root explorer you can push your choice of kernel or radio in its respective places just looked in it to fix auto rotate you'd need to take libakm.so from cm 9 and push it to system/libs.

I know a lot of people like the stock look and feel and others like the themes and mods. So my question is this: What are your thoughts on a nodded stock ROM with a flashable theme if you choose to use it?
I thought it would be something different, not new because its an older build, but an idea anyway.
What do you think?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
I like the idea
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Been thinking of doing this. But there are already a few stock'ish roms out there. So I've just separated into themed roms and themes generally. I do like my tweak kernel combo, but don't think its worth making a stock
rom out of it when we got TD whipping up re-calked so nicely

I haven't been on ICS in a few weeks now so I doubt I'll go back is anytime soon. Aokp, cm10, paranoid android jelly bean all run so smoothly its rediculous

We do appreciate the hard work developers contribute to our Hercules community. Other users preference is not a weakness.
I'm up for it. This seems to be the one rom that my phone works the best with and battery life is fantastic. I've tried several ICS roms and while I really like certain things about them, for whatever reason, they don't always play nice on my phone.

My suggestion would be root it and then get flash happy for a couple of days, until you come across the one that best suits your needs. There are many options and everyone has there own preference. I prefer PACman myself.

This is a great answer because in the big picture of learning what to do so you can help yourself in case of any problems in the future this is the right answer.

Rooting is for those of us who like to mess with our phones. Too root your phone and then throw stock back on it in some cases makes no sense. If you are happy with your phone then dont touch it.
Everyone's rooting experience is different so asking others will only give you some false info and some true info. Again only way to find out is to do it for yourself. Go into development and read up on the roms and see which one makes you go damn this looks nice and flash it
You cant recommend jedi jelly to a noob...it still has a few issues to be worked out. But i do suggest rooting and flashing roms. And asking whats the best/most stable rom you're going to get alot of diffrrent answers. Just try them for yourself.
