T-Mobile galaxy s2 ics roms - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Can someone make a stock ICS Rom, is there even a rom on the t989 like that. There's just ****ty touchwiz ics roms. Even the ones without touchwiz still have the touchwiz apps.

Cm9, blackedition aosp. You fail at life. Research b4 posting.

Unfortunately no there is nothing new that is NON ICS...everything being done lately is all ICS based because its the NEW OS and you know people want whats new lol.
But there are some really great ICS ROMS available. Darkside Eveoplution 3 V7 with his new Venom kernel is real nice and is TW based and there is AOKP that is pure vanilla ICS with tons of customizations.
Hope i helped you out. And happy flashing :good:
Awww, I figured I'd hear that. I guess I'll have to get hip to it.

I can get 4 days on my epic with AOKP MS6 running Shadow but that's very minimal use. Around day n half with normal use

I'm on The People's ROM too. Oops, did I say The People's ROM? I meant Mortify. They are two totally different things.
Honestly I'm not sure.....between tpr and mortify......only thing is that if I wanted ics look I would just go with aokp or cm9 (obviously mortify is a better performer) no offense darky...so tpr here I come

canned answer follows: no comparison threads allowed. Try for yourself and let us know your thoughts about both.
There is a ROM poll thread in the general section you can look at to see what everyone is using
PS: Euroskank Jellybro is another JB rom out there.

Use TPR (the peoples rom), install nova or apex launcher, then install the galaxyS III theme. Your phone will perform and look as colose to a GSIII as possible with that setup.

Though I respect kenny and TPR, it's not godlike and one cannot throw it at any question you meet... Real deal is to get CM9.1 stable from official site, search and get TouchWiz5 Launcher apk from the forum, and find a GS3 theme. Trust this.

No, RemICS here in our forum is based on a CM9 build as of June... While latest build came around September and is believed to have fixed something...

I figured that'd be the difference. I thought about that route as I've already got the tw 5 launcher but I can never find a cm9 gs3 theme that satisfies me. I may give it a go tonight.

Well went to official cynogen website and accidently downloaded jb instead of ics. Now it won't boot into recovery and it force closes everything. I don't have a computer to use Odin
Guess ill be out of commision for a little while.

[Q] I have just acquired an SGSII

So i just got a tmobile galaxy s2 and i was wondering if its worth rooting and roming? If so, which rom is most stable and does JB or ICS roms have any bugs?

My suggestion would be root it and then get flash happy for a couple of days, until you come across the one that best suits your needs. There are many options and everyone has there own preference. I prefer PACman myself.

Rooting is for those of us who like to mess with our phones. Too root your phone and then throw stock back on it in some cases makes no sense. If you are happy with your phone then dont touch it.
Everyone's rooting experience is different so asking others will only give you some false info and some true info. Again only way to find out is to do it for yourself. Go into development and read up on the roms and see which one makes you go damn this looks nice and flash it
You cant recommend jedi jelly to a noob...it still has a few issues to be worked out. But i do suggest rooting and flashing roms. And asking whats the best/most stable rom you're going to get alot of diffrrent answers. Just try them for yourself.
