Latest supercharger on gingerbread - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anybody used any of test builds for u9rc9? I seem to get an error with the su check which has been implemented...on stock .42 running doom kernel
Sent from my R800i using XDA

Use Ram manager pro, has ui, and do the same as supercharger.
Enviado de meu R800i usando o Tapatalk 2

Man the supercharger for me is to complicated to get it working 100%
As the previous friend told you, its better to use ram manager pro and on top i use autokiller memory optimizer and man, THATS AWSOME!! alomst 230mb free with the NXT 1.2 ROM

Just realised this was in the accessories forum, was using the app so I probably clicked in between the Q&A and accessories forum -_-...Could a mod please move this?

I dont think u9rc9 was meant for GB. Also the supercharger starter kit. Mybe it was meant for ICS.
Edit; Nvm. Silly me.

What do you think of RAM manager pro?

I stumbled upon that app while browsing an Xperia Play blog. The blog says that it did miracles on their XPlay, but is this really worth it even if I already used SuperCharger v6 and some other minor tweaks? Does this just close apps running in RAM?
I thought I read somewhere that even the developer of em manager pro recommended v6 supercharger over his app. The latest version of v6. I am using the latest v6 with nitro lag installed. Ram manager didn't seem to do anything on mine. The latest v6 is sweet. You have to use the options 7 and 20. (20 is nitro lag, that's a must)

OK, thanks
Also, I updated my SuperCharger to update 9, I was still on the update 8 version

No prob. Let me know how it goes with the new V6 and Nitro Lag.
Quite well actually, very snappy!
What is the nitro lag supposed to do exactly?

To be honest I cant remember off hand and I was unable to find out what it does exactly when I attempted to find it out, again. I have 4 family members using the Nitro Lag Nullifier option and they swear by it. I will keep looking for the definition of what it does, and if I find I will post not only the definition of what it does but also the original link.

Srericson BusyBox
This will allow you to uninstall existing busybox install, and then install latest bb version.....I think now V 1.20.1
It is an Installer, as Busybox is GNU Public License s/w maintained by Denys Vlasenko....
For BusyBox info see http://busybox.net

It makes the phone run faster and smoother by adjusting the Low Memory Killer values. So it keeps a minimum amount of free memory so that the current activity will be smooth and lag free. In my case I've also removed a lot of bloatware(all Samsung hubs, etc) to free up the memory and together with the V6 script my stock ROM runs very smooth. This is the main thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276
PS: I advise you choose the suggested minfree values using the built in super minfree calculator. These are working nicely for me.

is it like the RAM Manger PRO? can switch to balance to gaming to multitasking by adjusting the free memory? so you aren't experiencing any lag even once?

Never used RAM Manager so can't say much about it. The lag will never be 100% gone purely because this is android and it's memory management is designed to work in a way that results in some amount of lag. But I must say it is almost lag free. Very good.

most lightweight rom with touchpads working fully???????

basically I been using gin 2 jellybean but it seems so slow, my favorite rom is true ancestor but it's not stock based so no touchpads, so what roms do you use? I need something extremely lightweight and fast with 100% working stock based touchpads on ALL GAMES.
unlocked bootloader, GSM R800i
Thanks

I have been using gin2jellybean and it does feel slow sometimes, I would stick with stock Rom debloated and doom kernel as you have unlocked your bootloader and possibly v6 supercharger

no it doesn't try games like 9mm, mc3 and asphalt 7
I would try Holo launcher, it works on GB and ICS and JB roms and its packed with tons of features and its app size is less then 1mb. It defaults to using ICS icons for apps, but in launcher appearance settings you can select icon pack as "none" and the launcher will use whatever icons your rom is built with. Its between 10-13mb of ram usage as well.
I agree with the Holo Launcher It worked fine for me, i went back to ics 4.0.4

Okay:I'm able to run GTA3 at max distance, everything turned up high and max resolution with only a bit of stuttering the first few mins then it runs perfect.
Dead Trigger runs on max full speed and CODBOZ runs full speed
Touchpads work perfect.
What I did:
Flashed .58 enhanced firmware.
Flashed doom kernal
Flashed TrueAncestor 1.6 lite
Flashed the doom kernal wifi tweaks
Flashed the ZRAM enabler for Doom Kernal
Then finally flashed the TEAM ROM (I like the theme)
I deleted a bunch of system apps I dont use such as:
Keyboard (replaced with Swiftkey3 Pro)
Laucher (replaced with Smart Launcher Pro)
Email
Its really lightweight - nothing installed that needs to be installed

best gamming config for Xplay

im new to all this rom, kernel stuff, i was wondering if someone that already has a XperiaPlay pimped up could enlight my road..
as most of the users that have xplay im stock with 2.3.4
i would like to update to ICS without loosing any function on my phone( i know there is no ICS official ver for xplay), but also want to overclock it, so i can run the games better...
so what config, mod, rom, kernel and all that stuff do i need ? where should i start ?
If u r GSM user, just find latest ICS by markphyton on android development section,
It has almost everything working
U can use Doom's kernel for overclocking later on using app that can control CPU such as voltage control, setCPU or ROM tool box

thnx, im gonna start reading rite now, im gonna see what suits me better. its just that i have too much to read...
Using ICS to play games is the worst idea what you can do. Games arent supported on ICS so it will be buggy, unstable, maybe not working. Use Custom ROM like True Ancestor or Xperia NXT 1.2 and use setcpu (Xperia NXT ROM has it already overclocked to 1.4Ghz).. I dont know why you all people want ICS so bad. Im using Xperia NXT 1.2 and im so happy with it.
Howg.

i know Gingerbread is way better for gamming, its just that i wanna have the latest update, thats all. i will stick to a gingerbrear ROM.
wich is the best gingerbread ROM for hardcore gamming? without loosing wifi, camera, bluetooth, etc..
The stock ROM is perfect for gaming, just install DooMLord's kernel, overclock it @ 1.6 GHz, install SuperCharger V6 and Chainfire3D. This should considerably speed up the phone without sacrificing any of SE's preinstalled apps.
