Most indeededly. The 3600mAh battery lasts far longer than the standard
I've heard about this battery before. There're kinda some same products from other brands, but painfully what you have to sacrifice is the look and the thickness.
I have the 3600 mha battery and yes it will last a long time but it adds probably around 50% thickness to the phone. Basically take the gamepad portion of the phone and add that to the phone and that's how thick it is

I actually kind of like the thickness of the battery. In my opinion, it makes the phone have better grip while playing games.

I think I'll buy one mugen battery too. What are you thinking about the phone with it?
Did you played some game? Do you think that the new thickness make the phone hard to hold while playing too?
I've got a SGS2 and a Sensation and had an N1 all with 3600mah Mugen batteries and I couldn't live without them. They are brilliant. At least double the life of the standard ones. However the covers are usually dreadful, the only exception being the SGS2 one, which is creaky but looks OK and doesn't fatten the device up to much. The extra girth as others have pointed out, do help with grip, but the Sensation cover especially was awful and I ended getting 4 replacements sent (which in fairness Mugen supplied for free).

I first of all charged it to 100% and unplugged it at 1100hrs its now 1330 hrs and ive only lost 15% and i have been doing nothing that whole time but activly using the phone. Internet email and loads of emulation. Ive acually been play snesoid for about 98% of the time. I love tthe added thickness because it feels like a gaming device.
One thing i hated about the xperia play was holding the gamepad it felt thin.

Many people have reported problems with their screen from using the stock door with the extended battery so just be careful doing so. Hopefully it works good for you! I also have the motor extended battery and my battery life has significantly increased by several hours a day.

I have the Moto extended battery and love it. I bought it before a business trip thinking I'd swap over mid flight to the stock battery when I ran it down. I havent swapped back to the stock battery since. I unplug from the charger at 6:30a on day 1. I usually plug back into the charger around 10p on day 2 unless we're going out in which case I'll charge the phone around 5p on day 2.

Hello everyone!
Has anyone heard of an 1800 battery for the TB that is/will be the same size as the stock battery? Something available now or coming out soon? Also, are 3rd party brands good/safe to use in my TB? (I've heard good things about some company that sounds like Seido or something...??).
Right now, the 1600mA one that's out just doesn't seem like that much of a jump, and I definitely DONT want the bulky 2750 one.
I figure with an 1800mA battery and once my TB is rooted (and I can dial down the CPU while it's sleeping/standy), I will start to get decent battery life out f it.

Yeah, so apparently, this precise question hasn't exactly been answered (maybe I'm missing it somewhere? If so, please link.) As the OP suggested, im not really into the 1600, especially with all the talk of the siedio's supposed overrating on their batteries. Has anyone heard any rumours? Reviews? Anything at all?

supposedly htc is working on some like they have for the inc and evo the 1800 mah which dont require a new back.
I hope this true. I would love a longer lasting battery that's slim.

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with it, I read somewhere that platinum series stuff is just seidio but I'm not sure. I got one of the Chinese batteries off amazon and I'm not impressed, and seeing how I work 5 minutes from best buy I was gonna sent by after work and pick one up. Just figured I would ask if anyone knows if they are worth the money or not.
EDIT: So I guess no one has used it before I guess I can be the first. Won't have it till like 4 PST so we'll see.

I have had one for a few months now, works great, I can go a couple days with no problem at all under "my" normal usage. I aso have one of the knockoff 3500 batteries and they seem similar as far as my usage goes, maybe a half hour or 45 mins more with the platinum. I'd say if you have the 60 bucks to drop do it you wont be dissapointed. I also have the case and holster combo from seidio that fits it and really like the setup. The case doesn't cover the whole outside of the phone, the top and bottom edges are exposed but seems to protect it well enough for me.
Yes the platinum series at best buy is seidio. I use the platinum series from best buy and it is the best investment I have made on my phone. With this battery I get 30 hours + batt life and I'm a pretty heavy user. So yeah get it if u can I have tried the Chinese ones and they suck compared to seidio/platinum series

I have the battery and my phone runs quite long, never really tired to run it out of battery though. Like everyone said it is just a rebranded seidio battery.

You won't be disappointed. I have 4 cheap chinese knockoffs that are 3500mah and they never lived up to what I thought they would be. I bought the Sprint branded 2600mah of a guy on here(which I think is also a Seido rebranded) and it lasts 2 days of my moderate usage easily even with the CPU overclocked at 1190. When I set the CPU to be 998 I usually have about 20-30% left after 2 days. It is well worth it. You will notice a difference.

I am going to be ordering one of these. Where can I get a good back cover for this, the one posted on eBay doesn't include a back cover. I want something that fits it well and doesn't have gaps.
I am looking for some good extended battery and I hope you can help me with sharing you experience with those batteries.

None that I am aware of, I have never owned a gold one but there are posts around both for and against them... some say they are just a 2100 mAh with a new sticker....
I have Seidio's extended battery, along with the case for it. Outrageously expensive, but worth every penny if only because the case has saved my phone from destruction at least 6-8 times when I've dropped it onto hard floors.
It (or my phone) definitely has "moods", though... I've managed to burn through the entire extended battery in as few as 3-4 hours (!!!) a few times. If I don't semi-charge it on my desk at work, it'll usually be down to 15-30% by the time I go home, and dangerously low if it gets another 30-60 minutes of constant use somewhere while eating dinner. I wish somebody besides Seidio made a battery with the compatible dimensions... I wouldn't use a second one often enough to justify throwing down another $70, but I'd love to pick up a second one that's good enough to go for another 3-4 hours.
In case anybody's wondering, my awful battery life is mostly because I use Graffiti, and have to lock the CPU to 100% whenever the screen is on to get acceptable accuracy. It seems like every new generation of Android phones has a worse sample rate than the last, and gets more and more aggressive about trying to slow down the CPU whenever there's a soft keyboard open. (Seriously... my creaky, ancient Sprint Hero OC'ed to 712MHz had a butter-smooth high sample rate, and I could get almost 100% accuracy writing blind with my thumb. My S3 seems to have MAYBE half the sample rate, and Graffiti input when the CPU is allowed to scale down freely and some ***** app is doing realtime Ajax character-by-character queries is almost impossible.

If only it was possible to get that kind of battery life without turning the phone into a humpback whale.
Just to let you know,
the chinese makers of many batteries like to lie about the MaH ratings - it's easy to tell if you weigh them. Also I've seen them set it up so that power depletes slowly for the first 100-60% and then rapidily drop within seconds when the power is running out.
I recommend looking at reviews from phones in general and find a maker that isn't a scammer - one that takes pride in their name and quality. There are plenty now and they're about the same price if you buy direct from china. I thought a few times about selling them but then I relised that people are too dumb and just look at the price so I couldn't be bothered. There are some countries where it's not even possible to buy a decent replacement battery - Latin America and Spain for example.
