I have the Motorola one. My battery life has close to doubled. Plus I was able to use my original battery door with it. Which means I am able to use the same case. Although not everyone has had the same experience with the oem battery door working.

Many people have reported problems with their screen from using the stock door with the extended battery so just be careful doing so. Hopefully it works good for you! I also have the motor extended battery and my battery life has significantly increased by several hours a day.

I really don't see why anybody is even bothering with the stock battery door with the EB??? The "proper" door is 1mm. Lol, come on. 1mm for 20 hours between charges is well worth it in my opinion.

I have the Moto extended battery and love it. I bought it before a business trip thinking I'd swap over mid flight to the stock battery when I ran it down. I havent swapped back to the stock battery since. I unplug from the charger at 6:30a on day 1. I usually plug back into the charger around 10p on day 2 unless we're going out in which case I'll charge the phone around 5p on day 2.

The extended battery is great only adds a little bit of thickness with new door. I tried using stock door but it caused problems with my screen.

I just received the otterbox defender(vzw rugged) and the moto eb today. Using the eb door with the otterbox just fine. But because I have to mod everything, I did shave just a little off the inside of the otterbox. Fits like a glove. Oh and the eb is the best. Love it.

Hey everyone,
I have the official extended battery and back plate from Verizon that I just got a week ago. I love the battery life on it but I hate how bulky it makes the phone. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a trade (I will give you the extended battery and back if you give me the regular battery). I think it sounds like a really good trade. I just don't want to pay $40 for a regular battery. Like I said the battery works perfectly fine (I get about two days to a charge maybe even three depending on how much the phone is used and I use the phone regularly).
Right here. If you're legit. If you could post pictures of the battery with your name on a piece of paper that would be nice.

Verizon sent me two new extended battery with cover along with the replacement Dinc2 for our fascinates. I bought two Ottobox Defender cases for our new phones so obviously the extended battery ain't gonna work, I took the new extended battery along with the package receipts to my local verizon store and they swapped them out for the regular without any problem.
I would love one. It would be great for college because I need my email constantly and the battery dies all the time.

Also, how exactly do those work as far as charging? Do you just leave the phone in it, hook up the charger, and it charges both the phone's battery and the external battery at the same time?
Quick question...
It hardly holds its charge and often doesn't fully charge overnight when I've woken up in the morning.
If this sounds like a dead battery to people, what I need to know is how do I go about finding a legitimate battery online?
Are the ones on these accessories shops online any good?

You totally helped. And, yes, I was hoping to get an extended battery as well I just can't have it be thick or else it won't fit in my case. I guess anything over 1400maH is fine. I hear the batteries by "Anker" are supposed to be the best? Is that true?

Just wanted to configrm - they are awesome indeed.
I've upgraded mine to a 1650mAh Mugen Power within the last week. It's new and the discharge curve is epic, especially compared to my stock battery that stared to bulge and hold about 8hrs worth of charge. This thing easily lasts me all day, so far. It will happily extend the life of my device as I upgrade to the Nexus 4 in the spring and pass this down to my mother.

I think its easier to hold with the back and I can get well over 6 hours screen time with the brightness up to about 75%. I got mine last weekend and I'm still amazed how long I use it and I get paranoid about the battery then look at it and its still all the way charged. I got the trexcell and its awesome so far. Which battery specifically did you get? I'm thinking of getting one myself actually, almost got stuck in the middle of a totally unknown location because my battery was almost dead. Not a fun predicament, I'll say that much.

None that I am aware of, I have never owned a gold one but there are posts around both for and against them... some say they are just a 2100 mAh with a new sticker....
I have Seidio's extended battery, along with the case for it. Outrageously expensive, but worth every penny if only because the case has saved my phone from destruction at least 6-8 times when I've dropped it onto hard floors.
It (or my phone) definitely has "moods", though... I've managed to burn through the entire extended battery in as few as 3-4 hours (!!!) a few times. If I don't semi-charge it on my desk at work, it'll usually be down to 15-30% by the time I go home, and dangerously low if it gets another 30-60 minutes of constant use somewhere while eating dinner. I wish somebody besides Seidio made a battery with the compatible dimensions... I wouldn't use a second one often enough to justify throwing down another $70, but I'd love to pick up a second one that's good enough to go for another 3-4 hours.
In case anybody's wondering, my awful battery life is mostly because I use Graffiti, and have to lock the CPU to 100% whenever the screen is on to get acceptable accuracy. It seems like every new generation of Android phones has a worse sample rate than the last, and gets more and more aggressive about trying to slow down the CPU whenever there's a soft keyboard open. (Seriously... my creaky, ancient Sprint Hero OC'ed to 712MHz had a butter-smooth high sample rate, and I could get almost 100% accuracy writing blind with my thumb. My S3 seems to have MAYBE half the sample rate, and Graffiti input when the CPU is allowed to scale down freely and some ***** app is doing realtime Ajax character-by-character queries is almost impossible.
