For some reason I can't get Netflix to work. There's an error prompt telling me that the username or password is incorrect. I have an iPad. My laptop. A PS vita. My ps3 and blu ray player all running Netflix perfectly fine. Same name and password. I'm not typing anything incorrectly. Has anyone else ran into this on paranoid?
I thought it was the app itself so I uninstalled it and re installed. Nothing different. I even tried the Netflix HD app found here on xda. Same thing. Help a guy out here.

I've never had any issues with Netflix and I've been using PA since 1.1
I've always restored my app+data with TiBu and nothing has ever went wrong with it. I have it set to 220 + tablet UI if that would make any difference. I've also recently done a complete clean install so not sure if dirty flashing newer PA's over old ones would break the Netflix login.
Signing out the signing back in even worked without issues. That is really odd it won't sign you in.

I just gave your app settings a whirl. Netflix is still throwing up a cockblock flare. I'm gonna try the laptop sign in as Miami suggested.

I just flashed RC3 for CM7.2. Usually when I flash new ROMs, all of my downloaded apps automatically download in Google Play Store, but this time they didn't.
Anyone know why? Is there a way to manually initiate this if auto doesn't work?
Have you considered using Titanium Backup instead? Free or paid, its waaaaaaaaaaaay more reliable than Google Restore.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using xda premium
Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. It depends on the ROM.

I think the free one does a good job. I have not tried the paid one though so I have nothing to compare it to.
A little off topic, but related - how do you disable Google restore? Annoys the hell out of me when it starts downloading apps I already have backed up.

You do that when you are setting up the device after a clean flash. It will ask you if you want to use Google Backup and Restore. Just uncheck the box. I'm not sure if it can be turned off after this point.
I also want to know the, answer

It doesn't ask me, it just starts installing apps when I boot the phone. Only happens with some ROMs though.
Edit: Are you talking about the setup process? If there's an option there, I may have missed it.

I've been seeing that option on Sense ROMs as well.

Is there going to be support for Google Wallet now that we have ICS? I tried it, but it complains it's not certified and exits.
Its up to "the carriers". Recently the big 4 want to start their own NFC Waller thing going.

I unlocked my screen today and on my home screen there was an icon I've never seen before. It was a blue square with a magnifying glass and under the icon it said " search". Idk where it came from but what should I do about? I removed it and looked for it in my app drawer and in settings under apps but couldn't locate it

Lol not a virus. Its an app that you recently installed that added it. Usually bad apps or ones that are shady. Might want to figure out the most recent app you installed.

Probably a malicious app.
Delete any app u've installed in recently.
--------------------------------------------------
If I have helped you.... hit that sexy thanks button. ^_^
Definitely a malicious app. Download some antivirus/antimalware apps.
download this app to see what app could be in question! it detects apps with ad addons https://play.google.com/store/apps/...SwxLDMsImNvbS5kZW5wZXIuYWRkb25zZGV0ZWN0b3IiXQ..
I've had that happen to me when I installed some games/apps. Dunno what it is though, weird.
it is just a malicious app brother... review the apps that you have recently installed and remove it one by one until the issue is gone.
I use a program for music, it is written that it will add a search icon blah blah on install screen. I just delete the icon.

No it's not bad, as the developer who is well known has not kept it secret, it's written clearly on his play store link.
It's a search icon that if you use will search using some other search engine, obviously I don't use it.
This happened on my wifes old glaxy s i9000 when she installed kindle app.
Have you installed kindle recently?
To be on the safe side i wiped her phone immediately.

That was in 2010 in case you were wondering how far behind you've fallen
Anyways yes there are some apps that state they will place an icon on your home screen, its just a more intrusive way of advertising so they can make that money. The ones to be concerned with are the ones that don't forewarn you about push notifications or shortcuts, because then you may not know to look for an alternative. Of course if you read some reviews, like I do you, you can usually find out about these things before downloading.

Download and install AirPush Detector and Ad Network Detector from the Play Store. They always help me identify apps that cause problems.
I just tried depositing checks with my new nexus 7, when I do it with the Chase app I get just a static looking picture with no actual image of the check. When I try with bank of america, the app crashes... I tried the camera by itself and it works fine. Additionally, I don't think its an issue with jelly bean because I just used my nexus 4 to deposit the checks and had no issue. Any ideas?
The apps probably aren't updated to handle the camera.

I see, thanks for the info, is this something they usually update for?
Yes. You can email the developer and ask them if they would update for the new device. It's most likely a driver the app isn't compatible with at the moment.

Hi everyone.
So I got my LG pro yesterday and everything is great except my Facebook app. It shows I have version 3.5. The control bar shows up on the bottom of the screen is the first issue. Then I do not have a way to change my news feed to most recent, there is no gear to push and no matter what I do it won't show in my favorites. Also messages will not show a gear as well allowing me to see my other folder.
When I go to edit favorites it shows both news feed and messages there yet when I look neither are showing under favorites. What is going on with this phone? This is almost a deal breaker since I run a business on Facebook. Thanks for any help

It comes with fb preinstalled so it might take a bit for it to update to the latest version on play.
You could always root and remove FB app from system folder and reboot and install latest from Play.
3.5 is the latest version though, I tried deleting a and reinstalling twice already. Can someone check their phone to see if they have these options. This may be a deal killer for the phone itself

I don't know what to do? Any suggestions? Is this where your menu bar is at the bottom for facebook too?
Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 4
Ok I fixed it. In case anyone has this issue let me explain what I did. When I got the phone, I immediately updated the application before signing in. This caused my Facebook to be throwing errors.
The only way to fix it was to delete everything you could including data and the Facebook update. Then login to the original application that came with the phone. Once logged in, then update the application. Problem solved. For some reason even if I deleted the update Then redownloaded it again before signing in,it wouldn't fix i. Only signing in BEFORE updating solved it.
