I was trying to to replace my Sense 2.1 HTC Messages app with the one on Sense 3.5.
My idea (not a good one..) was to copy all the files from my device with sense 3.5 to the WFS.
I saved the old files and replaced them with the new ones.
It didn't work.
So I replaced them again with the original files I've saved..
The HTC Messages app working fine. BUT,
I lost the messages widget.. which I really liked..
Anyone can help..? Please..
Thanks in advance..

maybe i will flash my phone with the newest update and do a hardreset, the problem should be done after that ;-)
but thx thx thx for your help
PS: Does someone know when there will be the first Custom Roms for this Phone because than it would be worth it to wait?
I'm having the same problem as well; accidentally deleted--frankly I don't recall doing it--my stock browser, which is my preferred browser.
Can anyone point me to where I can download it from? Or upload the .apk here? I downloaded the improved deodexed browser from another thread but am not able to install it despite changing the permissions and using root explorer. If I save the browser from Galaxy S, will it be the same?
TIA.

I've got this issue too - I put this two files in the /system/app folder, changed permissions - but it keeps crashing.
Help ?
Can anyone re-up the browser.apk and the other file? Links are offline.
Would somebody please be kind enough to upload the original accuweather widget apk because the rom I'm using doesn't have it and the accuweather app from the market is different. Thanks in advance

Thankyou very much, but I can't get it to work. It won't install, and if I push it to the system/app folder it doesn't come up under widgets. Any way to get it to work?
Ur asking a good question, I extracted it from my original rom with root uninstaller dunno if you can install back by this app??
I suspect you are on Cognition.
If this' the case then you have to go to the Cognition thread and download the removed stuff from the first post and push it to /system/app either with Root Explorer or via adb.
If you take the original Samsung widgets from stock ROMs or even from past versions of Cognition itself they shouldn't work as expected...
A bit weird to me but that's the truth...
This is a modification of the Slate.apk that ships with the Wildfire.
I took a majority of the images from Safari-HD theme that is posted in the skins section and resized them to MDPI.
Since I have no clue about building it into a user-installable skin and renaming it, I did what I knew I could do... replaced the Slate Skin with my own.
I loathe the rounded Sense Launcher. Not just a little.. a lot.
Installation is easy, as long as your phone is rooted.
Do this:
adb remount
adb shell
cd /system/app
mv Slate.apk Slate.default
exit
adb push Slate.apk /system/app/
Click to collapse
You may need to restart the phone, then pick the skin from the skin picker (Slate).
There may be bugs... I'm running it on JMZ's ROM and it's working well for me.
If anyone would like to make this into a user-installable skin, I'd appreciate it. Feel free to use it in ROMs, etc.. just give credit if you do. ;-)
Enjoy!
Them launcher buttons are exactly the same as in my Sense4 skin

That's because they're from a sense ROM. I pulled and resized them from Safari-HD.
I'm not one to copy people's work.

Hi,
If anybody knows how to put on asop lockscreen with clock fix on 2.55 rooted, please tell me.
But keep in mind that I cannot get into cwm, though I am rooted, weird I know.
I would prefer pasting over the upxnxtx lockscreen.apk and changing permission.
Thanks

Hello everyone,
I'm still newbie with HTC-Sense, Usually all my themes/mods are build from pure android.
But in HTC, Whatever changes i did in SystemUI and after successfully flash the modified one using flashable zip, Nothing is actually changed!
What i know is SystemUI.apk in Vanilla Android goes under System folder and in Sense under Priv-app folder.
So my question is, is there are another Sense-SysytemUI related hiding somewhere? Or i need a special/extra permission in updater-script?
Thanks guys,

I believe recent apps is part of the sense launcher, maybe you find more luck in the prism.apk !
