This might be a silly question, but is it a Tantrix Quiz game or something else? :good:
This app doesn't work on the Wildfire due to screen resolution.
I didn't find any ROM's that are able to run it. You might send a message to developer to make a MDPI and LDPI versions so you could play it properly.

yes its tantrix quiz lol
Just noticed the other search results lol
Works fine on the wildfire s how odd...

Hi,
I am the one the developer of the Tantrix Quiz.
The game support all three resolution type: MDPI, LDPI, HDPI.
If you have any problem with the application please send a LogCat output to [email protected] but I can not promise anything because the CM7 is a custom RAM.
Cheers,
Daniel

Based on the check of the Wildfire it seems the openGL 1.1 is not supported.
The Wildfire support only 1.0 openGL version therefor you can see black window.
Thank you for your comment I updated the Tantrix Quiz manifest which describe the openGL 1.1 is minimal requirement.
Cheers,
Daniel

[GAME] Experiment13 - Fun new game off the Xperia X2

Just wanted to let you guys know that the nice Experiment13 game delivered with the Xperia X2 runs fine on our HD and can be downloaded here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4979886&postcount=182), thanks to Ganondolf!
The only thing not working is the g-sensor support - but it's not necessary for the game to be played...
Just been playing it! At last! A decent Blackstone game! With the exception of the glitchy Extract and Need for Speed, the only games I ever found had the graphical awesomeness of Minesweeper 95.
Yeeha! Thanks Sony
I HATE rapidshare!!!
I would love to try this game out, and a couple of ROMs for that matter, but bloody Rapidshare tells me "This file can only be downloaded by becoming a Premium member"!!
God I hate them - I have been trying at different times of the day all week to get a download slot for various different ROMs, but to no avail.
Can anyone who has managed to get it either email it to me or post to a decent server, and turn my in to a
Thx

Its got some panel stuff in it too. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4982046&postcount=244
I think this is better than Xtrakt. This is best Blackstone game so far
Game is amazing. There are missing such games: forcing to thinking a bit but still with up-to-date gfx.
Do you get vibrations and G-sensor working with this game? There are settings but doesn't work for me.
Here is a quick Review and gameplay screenshots : http://www.bestwindowsmobileapps.com/2009/11/23/experiment-13-best-3d-puzzle-game-for-windows-mobile.html

This is bloody brilliant. Best game on the HD yet. Now if we could get the g-sensor working it would be even better.

Your welcome!
And yeah: Working g-sensor support would rock... But I'm no expert on these things, so I have no idea what could be the problem!

I'm pretty sure it's a driver related issue... The game comes from a completely different device from a different manufacturer. The g-sensor in the Xperia is probably in no way related to the ones we have in our HDs and is driven by a totally different driver. And since we don't have that driver on our devices, the game can't access the g-sensor data. But I have no clue how this could be fixed... I guess some genius would have to write a "fake" driver that translates the HD's g-sensor data to the interface the game wants... (I hope this makes sense... As said, I'm no expert and this is just the way I interpret the problem)
Excellent game - thank you.
Great work MAMeingast.
Working purfect on my HD.
Just a shame that the g-sensor dont work but still very playable.
I wonder why games like these are made for other devices & not the HD.
Also it would be nice if the Sony Ericsson logo could be changed to make it more HTC'ish....
Blooming Marvelous!!! By far the best game I've tried on the HD yet . I agree that the icing on the cake would be to get g-sensor. Now that would be perfect!!
Thank you so much. This game is really cool and pretty. "It's strange to have a sony ericsson logo on a Touch HD .... xD".
Thanks you again!
I'm in 4,5 level.Why i can't go to next level?
This game is AMAZINGGGG!! Thanks!!!

[Q] MeeGo

Is there a potential to port MeeGo for the Desire HD?
I'm also extremely interested in a meego port for the DHD. I've used it briefly on my n900 and I believe the DHD's increased spec would run it a lot faster.
Anyone else interested in this?

Yeah, i'd also love to see Meego running on my DHD.
Maybe a similar procedure to the normal Desire would work: wiki.meego.com/ARM/MSMQSD#HTC_Desire_Meego_1.1_WIP
The HTC kernel for the DHD is also located at developer.htc.com, so maybe we could just give it a try?
The demo of the N9 looked great so I thought I should really give it a try (yes, I know the stock user interface is much more boring), but I'm stuck.
I compiled the kernel boot image from the official ace kernel sources (ace-2.6.32-g5ed1769) and the the meego root image (kickstart script is attached):
Code:
LANG=en_EN mic-image-creator --run-mode=1 --cache=mycachedir --format=loop --arch=armv7hl --save-kernel --config=handset-armv7hl-dhd.ks
Then I made an extra partition on the sdcard and copied the image to it:
Code:
dd if=meego-handset-armv7hl-dhd-1.1.99.20110621.0425.img of=/dev/sdf2
Now I wanted to boot this kernel using fastboot
Code:
fastboot -c 'root=/dev/block/mmcblk1p2 rw rootfs=ext3 init=/sbin/init rootwait noinitrd' boot zImage
But this doesn't work, it just falls back to the recovery mode..
So I really don't know what I should do now, could anybody help debugging this?
Thanks,
Lukas

Yes exactly, but without the user interface from Nokia.
I really like it because it's practically only a Linux distribution with a special user interface - and not so "trimmed down" like Android. It is also much easier to develop for this OS (it is based on the Qt Framework not a Java VM).
I would LOVE for a meego build on our desire hd..if someone can make it happen, that would be crazy awesome
My previous mobile is N900 and I still keep it. Maemo/MeeGo is very good OS and it is a shame that is not already mature system. There are some very good ideas and implementations in it.
So it will be very useful for everyone to have a possibility to have a port of MeeGo on his mobile.
Cheers.

I've made a huge step forward when I used the kernel from the Ubuntu build for the Desire HD ( [DEV] Booting Ubuntu nativ!!! )
But the UI doesn't work yet - there is a crash because no sound hardware is present/working ( https://bugs.meego.com/show_bug.cgi?id=11367 )
We can also use android apps look here http://www.gsmarena.com/alien_dalvik_will_let_you_run_android_apps_on_the_nokia_n9-news-2813.php
Will be awesome if we have meego on our dhd

Dude i think you're awesome for trying to get MeeGo working on our DHDs!
Don't forget, xda is a developers forum so there are plenty of awesome people around the Dev section that could help you if you need. I suggest you maybe open a thread in the General section or Dev section and get things moving because this would be awesome.

+1 Open a thread on development section, i'am sure that someone will get into this, because they don't see Q&A very often, you will find a team and the progress will go faster.

I've a working rootfs, but the default UI rather ugly and there is absolutely nothing that is usable in the current state (touchscreen is working so the only thing you can do right now is to open the application menu - which is really slow, because there is no hardware acceleration - and run the qt demo application; wifi is not tested; there is no possibility for text messages or phone calls)
I might upload the rootfs after my "school diploma" (and the following party), but I doubt you want to use it.
The next step is to get the hardware rendering to work, but this seems to be almost impossible.
This would be really nice. It's such a shame that Elop won't be continuing the development of MeeGo at Nokia.
It is possible.
I had seen videos on Youtube Meego installation.
So I have to Meego Desire HD can be installed on it was discovered.
But I do not know how to do that.

Are you talking about this video?
I uploaded it a few months ago, but the port hasn't improved since then.
The major issue is that there is no open-source driver for the GPU.
But it is really easy to get the software rendering: Just follow the steps on the first page
android is better than MeeGo~

[Q] Performance of Emulators

Moderators please move this thread if it is in the inappropriate place . I couldn't decide where it should be so I decided to put in general just to be safe.
As the topics suggests I would like to know the performance of various emulators for Android such as PSX4droid, NDS4droid, Tigerlabs, gba4droid etc. on the Samsung Galaxy SII. If anyone has tried any type of emulator made for android please post your opinions and evaluations below regarding its perfomance, quality, FPSetc below.
Okay Guys Confirmed Emulators working with full speed on the Samsung Galaxy SII
FPSe
n64oid
SNESoid
GameBoid
More coming soon according to developers........
FPSE (psx emulator) - Full Speed with sound. Played Crash bandicoot, and final fantasy 9
n64oid - no lag in mario kart, ocarina of time, golden eye (sound lags at loading sometimes but i think it's a defect in the emulator)

GTA III + Samsung Galaxy S I9000

Does it work with you?
I could open it, download game data but then it closes (no force close) every time I click on the app icon. Downloaded Chainfire 3D, installed it, but no luck.
I9000 + MIUI
Works for me pretty smoothly.
I really want to download this game but i want to know if the i9000 can handle it first =/.
If it doesn't work go into market and hit refund. I believe it gives you a full refund if you uninstall within 15 minutes of downloading.
Sent from my MB855 using XDA App
Yeah thats true but the problem with big games like this is that if you have trouble downloading the additional files the 15 minute window can soon disapear.
They should have left the refund time at 1 hour. 15 minutes just isnt enough half of the time.
Of course it will run smoothly on Galaxy S... It's 1 thread optimized game and actually does not require dual core device.
pls post your kernel, rom or other requirments what we need to play.
thanks.
