My calendar crashes the phone when I open it. I had a update a few days ago and since then it's crashing, previously it worked fine.
If I uninstal the app how do I get it back again?

Try to clear data and cache.....

Hi
It seems the update has "created" a bug with the "weather framework"
If have traced this issue here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1716075
Maybe a solution is to disable the "weather" display in the calendar
Other people have reported that this solved their problems with
the calendar.
Just give it a try.
You could also try to create a logcat and insert it here that
would help to "nail down" the issue.
Regards
max
What is "logcat"? I seem to have made some headway!
I cleared the data (there was no cache) a few times, this didnt help, it still crashed although not as quick.
I don't always have sync on but when I did this morning and let it sync-up the calendar worked fine. I still have the weather app sync with the calendar but I'll disable this if I have any more problems. For now it seems to work fine :good:

I have also had this problem with my girlfriend's HTC One V.
Whenever I try and get into the settings to disable the weather on the calendar it reboots. I've also tried turning off weather sync in 'Accounts & Sync' can I assume this is a software balls-up from HTC for all One V's?

Try the following
-start the Weather app and sync it once
-then start calendar and turn off weather in settings
-stop calendar
-stop weather app
-start calendar
And send an error report to HTC when it asks after a reboot. (if you have enabled it)
Maybe they will react faster if a lot of those reports arrive

max
I must have sent them about 10 reports
I synced up everything via the sync menu in settings, took ages but the calendar stopped crashing for me this way.
Solution to problem
Here's the fix;
Go to the dialpad (phone) and type in *#*#4636#*#*
Enter phone information and scroll to set preferred network type. It will usually be WCDMA Preferred as default
Specify GSM AUTO(PRL). Tap the home button. Then go to settings> apps> all> calendar> clear data.
Restart the handset.
Worked out with help from HTC Support
Hi, I also have this issue, i think this happened after the last system update. I tried the solution in the last answer but the issue still appear. Hope HTC soon fix this thing.

I have the same issue. Calendar doesn't sync and if I go into the App and change the view to Agenda it's a guaranteed crash.
I have this too
Hi there,
Seen a coupel of fixes for this, but nothing seems to work.
I tried this and it let me back into the calendar, but then rebooted.
Any further thoughts?

Hi,
almost went crazy when phone reboots trying to open the calendar. Since it's my second one after returning the first HTC One V because it went dead(QHSUSB_DLOAD). But these steps worked for me:
-start the Weather app and sync it once
-then start calendar and turn off weather in settings
For me it was enough just to turn off weather in calendar. For reference here is the full post. Thanks maxwen

Im having an issue with Facebook sense. I noticed after restarting my phone for the first time that the Facebook friend stream was no longer updating even though it was set to update every hour and it was enabled, Looking in the setting menu confirmed this as the last updated time was not changing unless i forced a resync. Removing and re-adding the account worked for a while until I restarted the phone but as soon as I did the same issue manifested, it just wont automatically update. All other automatic updates seem to work.
Has anyone else encountered this issue and if so have you managed to find a resolution?
Cheers!
if you have the little power bar widget, with Bluetooth WiFi etc on, have you turned on the reloading sign?

Already checked that, every other app updates correctly just not facebook
log out then back in...it fixed my friends list not updating with new friends, probably will sort out th e friendstream (providing you've not already fixed it)
make sure its the facebook for htc rather than facebook for android tho !
How are you logging out of it?

I don't have my phone with me at the moment, but while logged into Facebook, is there no option to log out via the browser or when you press the Menu button?
I had that problem, fixed by going into settings and re-selecting the update frequency, seems to need repeating at each boot.
Does anyone know how to update contact pictures? My friends have updated their facebook prof pics but it isnt getting update to my phone.
i had to delete my facebook account then re-add it
Facebook integration seems a bit iffy on mine too. New friend facebook contacts do not show up on Contacts tab (to be linked). It seems the thing does not update without remove-re add.

Yeah I had to remove the account and re-add but then it only synced 30 contacts at first and then I had to keep resyncing 3 times to get all contacts synced.
Same here.....had to re-add my account
The first time it cut off at around 40. I rebooted the Desire, now I have the first 40 twice.

Solution
Had the same issue, just updated facebook and all better now...
not to beat a dead horse on this one, but I am having something along these issues with my FriendStream widget. The Facbook isn't updateing hourly like it should, I have tried the following to correct the problem:
Removed/Re-Added my account
Cleared all Cache Data
Cleared all Data
Reset the phone (factory Reset)
Updated Facebook
Really ata loss for what I should do from here, any ideas or suggestions would be awesome.
Hi,
I use a DZ with GingerVillain 1.5 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893933) and my phone decided to not update my Mail / News etc. automatically.
I have 2 IMAP Accounts set up. One I set on updating every 5min, the other one on 10min. News is set on 1h. Sync of Google Account seems to work.
In the menu "Acc. & Sync" I have selected the two options (Background Data, autom. sync).
It often happens in the last weeks, that I get mails which are more than two hours old.
Any ideas?
Strange, are you sure you have not installed an app which changes the moments your phone checks for updates or something like that?
Other than that, the rom you are using is not likely to be updated.
Perhaps you could try this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991254
Not forcing you to change, but it could be an improvement for you.

I haven't had that problem with updating on my pop3 but I don't use the news or weather. The dev said on his website that he would start working on an update mid-april so maybe we will see some improvments on this rom soon.

Thanks for your posts.
I really consider to change my active ROM. I need a working ROM /w Mail and so on but WITHOUT HTC Sense - just a normal Google Android 2.3.3.
The link you gave me looks good. I'll give it a try, or Cygen Mod?
I got the same problem in the ROM by xboarder.
Here is what I found out:
With SetCPU and Advanced Task Killer installed the Mail App seems to have issues while updating the IMAP account.
I then deinstalled setcpu and the task manager app and cleared the data of the mail app. then i set up the mail accounts again and for now it works again. I will keep an eye on this and will try to get the failure log with adb the next time the error occurs.

Glad to see that it is working again. FYI; Taskkiller is a notorious program on some custom roms. Furthermore Android does not need a taskkiller, you could use a taskmanager program to see which apps are eating CPU cycles without your knowledge thow.
Yes, I realized this point while googling my problem. I just won't use task managers anymore and I think this will be the solution. Will try to use my beloved setcpu again in the next days after my work day test shows that the mail app work normally over a longer period of time.

Hi guys.
My HTC One X stopped updating locations in the HTC weather widget even though it is checked in the menu and there is WIFI connection.
Any Ideas guys?
Google location services must also be turned for that.
Nop... That's on as well
Don't worry about it just yet. The HTC locations service misbehaves sometimes. It might come back.
If you wanted to, you could clear the data from the weather and location service apps and reboot and see if it starts working after a while.
Are you having this issue at the time i am writing this?

Yeah... i asked this because i was having this issue since yesterday but it seems to be working fine since last 3-4 hours.
Thanks guys,
I'll try it know... It just bothers a bit when it doesn't update...
Hi,
I seem to have the same or a similar problem. If I keep GPS turned off then my location gets reported correctly on the weather widget. However, if I turn on GPS for locations then it gets messed up and changes to "Current location".
The only way to get it to recover is to stop the HTC Locations service and clear its data. Then reboot the phone.
This is a real pain as I use the GPS quite a lot for mapping etc.
Does anyone know if there is a way to stop this happening in the first place?
Thanks.
Mark

Chk thi out buddy..mit work for u as well..worked for my HTC OneV..though location sercive still is an issue...
anyways go thru this..
1. I changed the app to home location. And of course it said home location was set until I got to the main screen where it still had an old location where I traveled to a few days earlier.
2. I took out the battery turned power back on. Still same problem.
3. Then I pressed down and held my weather clock widget on my main page and dragged it to the garbage.
4. Went to the main screen, found and empty spot and held down for the widgets to appear.
5. Scrolled to the clock widget, chose the weather clock combo again.
6. Chose my home location.
7. Looked at the main screen and WHOALA! It was working again.
8. Note that in my situation I did not have to uninstall the app.
another alternative...
Go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications.
Then go to 'All' and scroll down to 'HTC Weather sync provider'.
Select 'Clear Data'.
Then Select 'Force Stop'.
Then go to your home screen and restart the weather app by tapping under the time and then update the weather. The weather should now be available on the homescreen.
Anyone else having problems with the HTC weather not syncing recently?
I've recently had trouble with using Google as the provider for Beautiful Widgets. It's fine since changing to Accuweather!

I don't suppose this will apply to yours; but I have a rooted sensation, and I decided that the "HTCLocationsWidget3d.apk" was surplus to requirement.
This is needed for the weather; upon reinstalling the file the locations updated correctly.
Hello
I am facing the same problem as ppl described here and all over the android and htc forums. None of this works for me. Or no. It works for couple of hrs, a day maybe and then again goes back to Current Location.
The interesting thing is when the weather stop to update my location, facebook wont find me also. But Sygic works fine, Google maps also. Having this in mind I can say that my GPS works fine. So the problem is in HTC/Google things.

The sync will come as disabled if your auto-sync is off. Switch auto-sync on and then try.

sure you're entering right details ? Give other twitter apps a try ubersocial, tweetcaster, etc.

I can login using stock browser, so I guess password is not the issue. I am on stock, non rooted phone. Tried restarts, clearing data etc. I guess the only sollution would be factory reset, but ill wait for JB ota, since I do factory resets after each ota
It was working perfect all the time. But one day I started the Twitter app and it said "cannot retrieve post or something like that". After that I tried to remove twitter from my sync account, cleared data, restart phone. Tried to re add Twitter account but when I enter the login info it says "error occurred...try again later"

Problem solved. I can login again. The problem was that in time and date settings I needed to select automatic settings. Weird

Hello guys,
I recently bought an LG G3 D855 32GB.
I have several problems with the facebook application.
When i try to check in to a place through the facebook application the app crashes and i think that the system framework restarts too.
Facebook opens up again and puts me to the home screen.I ve tried several facebook versions and it does the same with all of them.
Whats going on?Anyone has any idea?
Thanks in adv.

no i dont think its because of that.i see that the SUI restarts somehow. It might be because of the incompatibility of the facebook application to the screen resolution of the G3??i really dont have a clue about whats going on.ive read several posts about chromecast crashes on several forums.
Any ideas?
I have the same problem when in ART mode. Revert back to default mode fix the issue.
