Hi all,
Dont know if this the right area for this type of question. Anyhow ive rooted and installed chainfire 3d on my SGS3 and tried to get pinball hd to work, it installs ok the apk but it gets to the loading screen of the game and says no nvidia gpu detected then closes down.
Ive copied an nvidia plugin that i found on my search through the internet and installed it using chainfire but still doesnt seem to work.
Has anyone got it working on the SGS3?? and if so how??. REally love this game, had it on my One X before i sold it to get the SGS3. I know its for tegra devices but im kinda hoping someone here has got it working on their SGS3 and could tell me how to do so on my device.
Although i have this funny feeling that ill be out of luck and its a game that just wont run on the SGS3. But i thought id try here as theres some pretty inventive guys around here that can work wonders:good:

Hi thanks for answering, i dont see any 3 plugins??. Where do i get them from?? are they the nvidia, qualcomm and powerVR plugins that you are talking about??

Ok i tried all 3 of those plug ins but still does not work, keeps saying 'this application requires NVIDIA GPU, which wasnt detected on this device'
I have the Pinball HD for tegra 1.0_2411 apk installed so dont know if that is a working apk or not??.

ok try this first if you go into chainfire3D there setting for openGL open it then go to use plugin the you should see select plugin if the plugin and install correct the select nvidia and exit and should play game hope this help you

Uninstall and then reinstall the game. It will solve the issue.
It plays pretty well too - though I am still hooked on Order & Chaos.

i will give it a try again~~~but i actually did uninstall the previous version before i update it.

any ideas?
Err... My phone is getting very hot at 41C for playing 15 minutes only. And battery dropped 15% too.

You don't need Chainfire with the latest version. Just download from the Marketplace and it should run without any issues.

Why would you need to use a plug-in when the GS2 is natively supported?
because it didnt work at all without Chainfire!

Nope, it is working fine on stock ROM. But too hot.

i uninstalled the previous version->reboot->download and install the new version and it works

How to produce less heat on SGS2...
Downclock your CPU to 800mhz (Runs smooth, maybe loading time is slower by 1-2seconds) aswell as undervolting it. This defiantly made my phone from hot to warm this is with 70/80% screen. Although I prefer 50% if im out travelling !
heat produce and battery drops is normal , so please do not be frightened!
will rise to about 50 degree celuis and drop battery like droping water.
A plugins is not required so do not do things too much.I am using 1Ghz to play and smooth enough.
it's VERY HOT after 15 mins playing. uncomfortable.
waiting for update, I hope it can be fixed.

What abt hot pursuit .??
Playing NFS hot pursuit , you have to download .apk (qualcomm) + data (power VR), and use Chainfire3d Power VR plug in to play this game. If you wanna get high performance in graphics , you have to use MSAAx16,x4(optional) and may activate unroll texture (optional). But sometimes it will be laggy when you use MSAAx16 and select unroll texture. So I hope this post can help you.

I have a problem. After installing chainfire, and the plugins, and the game....putting the data in Android/data/ folder.
The game still goes all white shapes and stuf..impossible to play.

Wow ! Thats interesting so only Sound lags, there is no lag in the screen and the movement of the players or anything of that sort right ? is about 1.5 GB of download so thought would ask people here before doing the download

if you want to run it perfectly you should install chainfire 3D but sound is lagging and when you want to chose your team icons are black (just icons of team but it is fine) and another thing is battery life it lose your battery very fast

You don't need to root your device. Nor you need chainfire 3d.. Just download the data and start playing..

if your phone is un-rooted so never mind
just download the data and try to run game if u don't be successful u should root your phone and install chainfire 3D (an app that help u to run games like tegras games)

I tryed to install chainfire 3d on mf2 but my mobile gets stuck on the "Samsung galaxy ace 2" screen. On GB it works. It is a compatibility problem with JB?
Edit: I see now that isn't compatible, any alternative to chainfire to configure the gpu?

you can try to waqtch video in youtube .there are very few videos on the tool .I am going to create and upload a video tomorrow.it surely changes every bits of game and make it playable..and yes it changed...

When it starts says that it needs root privilege. Same thing with game guardian.
