are you getting any error message like phone.apk has stopped or whatever ?
some times it takes 5-6 seconds for the call screen to pop up on cm7.

Ok then the easiest way out would be flashing CM 7.2 stable. Also you are using old radio, try flashing a newer one.

[Q] Flashed CyanogenMod 7.1 and Cannot send SMS

Hello, I flashed CyanogenMod 7.0.3 last night and was able to send SMS when I first booted, but I could not after next boot.
I decided to just flash to CyanogenMod 7.1 and Cannot send SMS still, I have looked for the Message Centre number to ensure this is correct but I cannot find this on my phone?
Any help would be great

Try going to phone dialer and dialing *#*#4636#*#*
The phone will go into a back end utility menu. Select Phone Information option. Half way down is an empty area with SMSC next to it. Enter your message centre number and update. Might resolve your problem but can't guarantee anything

How do i find out my message centre number? Im near philadelphia and using sprint. googled it but cant find anything concrete.
@bobblin
take another phone from ur friend or any one else having same network as urs and collect the message centre number from that phone (not htc any other like se or nokia)and copy it to ur phone by dailing *#*#4636#*#* and goto phone information>SMSC.
What do you mean by (not HTC)
Also, how do you find the message center number on the friends phone? The same way you enter it on your own phone? *#*#yada yada?

Yea!!! It solved the same problem on my HTC Tattoo/Click with CyanogenMod 7.1.0.1 Nightly 256
I have flashed 7.2 RC. I have to retry sending sms 3-4 times and then the sms are sent. I tried changing the SMSC no but no use. Same prblm...pls help
If you have the problem on Android 4.2.
Enter *#*#4636#*#*
write the number in the mentioned field in "":
like "+00000000000"
This worked for me...
If you just type the number it will ignore your setting. ""-ing it solved that.

I would ask in the rom specific thread. You're more likely to get someone with experience with that rom to answer.

He can't post there most likely since he has only 2 posts. I had an issue with Viper like this but thought it was related to Hurricane Sandy....
One morning I grab my phone off the usb (computer) and it says Vodafone instead of VZW on the lock screen. Hmmm. Reboot and nothing changes. Can't send of receive texts or connect to 3g but phone works. I tried pulling battery, sim card....to no avail. As a last resort I wiped data and it has worked since with no issue although that forced me to re-install all my apps.
Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your suggest. I wiped data and my phone works too. But I wonder what is the root cause of this issue? A problem of custom rom ???

[Q] Error code 332/331

Hi. I was using the ParanoidAndroid 3.60 ROM from WoH for the past few months, and was quite happy with it. Now, sending SMS stopped working for no apparent reason. Whenever I try to send one out, I recieve error code: 332 or error code: 331. I'm still able to call people and to recieve SMS, I'm "just" unable to send them.
I also wasn't able to find any working solution on the internet, as all the existing answers didn't help. I've checked my APN-Settings (which were correct), updated to a newer version of the ROM (3.68), yet without any positive results. I'm not even shure if the problem is the ROM itself, or maybe even my phone. Can anybody please help me to fix this problem? Many Thanks in advance!

Might be a problem with your sim. Try inserting it in another phone. See if you can send SMS.

Ok, still wasn't able to send any SMS using another phone, so the SIM could be damaged. Guess I'll visit a shop tomorrow, thanks for your help.

The process Com.android.phone has stopped in dialer after unlock

After the sim unlock on the dialer every time I'm trying to call a number I get this error.
This doesn't happen when I call. A contact thru the "call log" so basically I can't call anyone. I can call people only if they call me and are in call log.
Any help?
I've tried:
restarting
Clear cache in phone app
Get a new dialer app.
No use. Any advise?

I believe this is because you need to add a 1 to your numbers before calling. Its random why. Some people have to, others don't. I suspect it's related to carriers. If that is your problem, use this app to add a 1 to all your contacts. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maplekeycompany.apps.numberfixer

Yep thanks. That did the trick.
Also do you happen to know if this rooted phone will lose root or the unlock if I do a factory restore?
Stock Rom. No custom recovery. Did both local and permanent unlock.

try changing the network type to GLOBAL, that worked for me
You need to make changes in the build.prop file. check this thread out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2798566 and make the changes in the build.prop file. had the same problem, got it solved with these changes.
LS980 com.android.phone stop working
Dear all... all the work i have done is quite simple
Step One.
1. Reboot your Android device into Restore mode
2. Wipe cache data
3. Again reboot your Android device into Restore mode
4. restore/factory reset
5. power off phone
6. hard reset phone (volum UP + Power button)
hard reset your phone and enjoy... your OS must work fine now... i have done this with my LS980 sprint set...

I flashed and unlocked my Sprint LG LS980 G2 to permanent GSM. Its working fine but the problem is that it does not see my contacts stored on my sim card and does not keep call logs. Also, any time I end calling or receiving call, it displays "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped." Please help me somebody. God bless you
