UPDATE:
im just gonna tell you how to to get the best antutu benchmark score you can
what you will need:
antutu benchmark ovcourse
no-frills cpu
build.prop editor (paid version)
RAM manager PRO (need pro free will not work)
SD speed boost
1. right lets get started first off all what you wana do is OC your phone
best result i have found is min max with sio
2. then open RAM manger PRO and set ram settings to balance may be different with other roms
and change VM heap size to 48 and exit.you may get better score with other options this is just how i do it so have a play round
3.then you want to go to SD boost and set your SD cache to 2048(depending on sd card) and save
4.now you want to go to build.prop editor and add property type
"debug.gr.swapinterval" as the key and "0" as the value both without
qoutes
now simply reboot you phone and run Antutu benchmark may need to run 2 or 3 times to get consistant scores
now this is only what i have done to maximise my score feel free to try you own combinations
if you get any improvement dont forget to hit thanks :good:
And result of yours?

well i get high 1900's with a 4gb class 4 sd card
well..i get 2.2k without this guide,
and 1.9ish using it..
think i'll stick with my own...
may i ask what your doing to get that lol and what kind of sd card you are using??
private methods, and a few of the apps you mentioned.
card is 16GB. not sure on what class.
looks like i got a bit more to learn then lol

Guys please share your findings and what you do to get your best scores (2000 or above) so that the others can test them on their devices, that's what forums and communities are about. If you don't want to share them with the rest of us you can keep your "private" tweaks, apps, settings and other gimmicks that you do to boost your scores, it sounds like you are cheating anyways.
your exactly right mate well here you go
rom: EQDKP sense 3.5
sd cache size: 1920
ram settings: balance using ram manager pro
825 OC using ondemand/deadline
added debug.gr.swapinterval=0 to build.prop using build.prop editor
hope it helps
Thank you.
What does the line in build.prop do?
I actualy get better scores with performance governor and default samsung in ram manager than with ondemand and hard gaming.

to be honest i dont know but it increased my score by about 50 to 80 points lol and yea thats exactly why people should try there own combinations

Hey,
While grazing through the web, i found some tweaks to improve the performance of our phone. I flashed it and found my phone noticeably faster. It may be placebo effect but why dont you guys try it out and let me know!! :good:

Hi,
What kind of performance did you notice? And can you provide some examples? With benchmarks if is possible?

The general speed of scrolling has improved. The whole UI seems much smoother.. I didnt run any benchmarks yet, but will do so shortly..
The original thread about that tweak is dead. No update anymore. probably some script doesn't effect with a new ROMs.

I think it had more to do with the OP's account being disabled rather than the tweak not working on new roms...
This is the score i got. Max freq:600 Mhz Min freq: 200 Mhz. Governor: smartass v2. And i must say i have a crappy class 2 sd card..
nice result. What ROM are you using? You can set the 806Mhz processor and check the result?
it's not work for me, i have the same result without thi mod..
what were the initial score ?? without this patch i mean ???

Wihout the tweaks:
787 MHz max - 245 Mhz min Governer= Scary
32GB class 10
SD Booster - 2048
BEATSenseless rom (android 2.3.5)
With de Tweaks:
787 MHz max - 245 Mhz min Governer= Scary
32GB class 10
SD Booster = 2048
BEATSenseless rom (android 2.3.5)
For me is works, but for how long....i hope for a while...
we shall see
Thanks for the tweaks
I think we can all agree that there's no development in this thread. You should probably report this and have it moved.
Edit: also, I this gives a 50 point boost in antutu. But you just can't feel ll it

Hey,
build.prop tweaks aren't exactly meant to improve your performance scores, rather than to improve the general usability. These tweaks dont necessarily boost your benchmarks. If you see an increase in benchmarks, then great! But the effect it has, has to be felt rather than seen!!

Yes, i think it is.
And we are likely to get higher scores in GB than in ICS, because GB is fully optimised for our devices, while ICS is sort of modded to work.. (no offence to the great devs who made porting ICS possible in the first place!)
I belive thse are just bunch of init.d tweaks so any rom that supports init.d should work. In terms of scores you wont see any significant changes. This doesnt iprove your ram work or your gpu and cpu speed. You will however see overall improvement on stock roms and not neceserly on moded ROMs as they alrady have their own tweaks.
It worked !!!!

Hello everyone
I bought new sd & I was excited to try out some of the mods in the forums & what I've noticed during this experience that each mod I download & swaps the memoreis the cpu frequency will not go to 200 mhz at all , its always on 1Ghz or 800 Mhz even when I use DirectoryBind app will get the same side effects
Could anyone that tried any mod or the directory bind confirm this issue or us it goin on only with me ?
Any useful answer is apprecited

no idea what you're trying to say.
if you're talking about why the cpu doesnt downclock really low compared to previous phones, its because jelly bean's project butter keep the clocks at a reasonable speed to reduce UI lag.
What I meant I used to see current cpu speed through any app like set cpu & when I dont press the screen the normal awake speed Is 200 mhz when I press or try to open menu the speed increases to 500-800 mhz
But after I flashed the sd swap mod or tried directory bind , the speed is on 800-1000 mhz all the time
That is my question ? If u flashed anything like that or even used script manager to run it , have you noticed this issue ?

Can anybody give me some advices to increase my xplay's performances? I have max 100-120 mb of free ram and I can rarely play a game smoothly. My Phone runs stock gb 2.3.4 rom, lupus kernel v1.4, rooted and unlocked bootloader. I use My play basically for gaming and text. I Also have SE liveview that is compatibile with a few custom rom.. Any advice?????
Thanks!!!!
First thing is remove some heavy apps so download Titanium backup and uninstall things what you not using (something like timescape or other stock SONY useless apps). Don't touch apps that you don't know what are they doing! For best gaming performance you must overclock CPU so download No-frills CPU control (or similar) from Google store and use this settings for gaming performance:
Max: 1600 Mhz
Min: 249 Mhz
Governor: performance
I/O: deadline

I already have no frills cpu with these settings and installed titanium backup to uninstall useless app. I have the stock Sony 8gb micro sd with a second ext2 partition and i swapped all the apps on the sd to get free internal memory.

Thank you vey much for your interest. No, i haven't got Adreno booster. What is it?
And another question, do you think that the apps in the micro sd are quite slow because of the class of the card (stock sd card is not very performant)? Thank you again

Here's the link for adreno booster. You can read there what is it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2167228
I'm using stock SD card too and I don't feel any performance drop. I planning buy new SD card so I test if there would be any difference. Maybe if SD card is too full it cause to performance drop but I can't test it.

"swapped all the apps on the sd".
This might be a bottleneck if you have a low-class SD. I'd recommend moving some apps you use a lot to the internal memory, if you have some space left.

Yes i noticed an increase of speed moving the common-use apps to the internal memory. However, i'm already experiencing lag and reboots with games like gta3, vice city, modern combat 4, max payne etc
I have installed PA, stable. Current Clockspeed set to 806 and 1200 MHz. The CPU governor is Performance. IO scheduler is set to Deadline. zzRam is set to default, Allow purging of assets is checked, so is KSM. 16-bit transparency is set too.
After using the phone pretty hard for a month and half, I find the performance not satisfactory. I need to perform frequent restarts to beat the sluggishness. Tried a system reset that made it fast, but only for a few days, if not weeks. Could the sluggishness be because of a slow SD card? I used the one that was free with the phone. I got it off Flipkart, in India.
How do I speed it up? I dont have any UI/skins/Nova or that stuff. No background processes other than WA, FB, Maps and JottaCloud (to sync msgs, which are not frequent.)
Thanks.
Use greenify and use the swap script

Greenify looks pretty good. Might take me a while to get my head around it though. If that doesnt help, Ill try to use swap. Is the swap created on the SD or the internal memory?
Thanks.

No PROBLEMS GUARANTEED
although if ur not on sense go for 50mb for cache
Optimisation
Most issues sluggish issues on the HOV are caused by background programs. You could try Tantrums Gapps install to remove all the stuff you don't need. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1918616 note that it works on all CM10 based roms.
With regards to the memory card you are right, a faster card will significantly improve the speed of response the phone has. However it won't stop the need to reboot.
As a memory manager I used SmartassV2. Also you can safely up your clock speed to 1470MHz, however when I ran some games this led to a nice warm phone, which is handy in winter :victory: .
The final step with my phone was to go for a full reinstall using as few Titanium restores as possible.
Hope this helps

Mods like crossbreeder also can make CM7 little fast.
you can share your SD card space with RAM, with Swapper, search XDA for more details.
V6 supercharger is also known as great script for increasing ram usage efficiency.
hope this info helps. you'll find more information if you read around XDA.
Ty for the info just 2 more things how to get crossbreeder and how to use swapper please tell me what's good for swapper ty again for making my wildfire run smooth and the battery is fabulous keep up the good work
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda app-developers app
I've made a thread about crossbreeder in the themes and apps section, check that out.
Get the crossbreeder Zip files and flash it in CWM recovery. That's it.
Now about swapper,
Android system usually caches apps that it thinks the user would use. That results in faster app opening times and better multitasking, because the apps are already loaded into the RAM.
But when the RAM gets low system clears out cached apps to make space for foreground apps, this is where swapper comes in.
Swapper uses a partition on sdcard (if you have a swap partition),or a file in the sdcard to act as an extended RAM. (sort of )
So, now when the RAM gets low swapper moves some cached data to the sdcard, and frees up space.
So instead of totally killing an cached app, the app still stay cached in the swap file, until its open. Then the data is moved back to RAM.
By the way, swapping will DECREASE the life of your sdcard.
Swapping is not necessary, unless you're into heavy multitasking
Tip - if you have terminal emulator installed, type free and enter, to see the RAM usage
