Just downloaded it from the marketplace. It installs as a stand alone app, but the settings are integrated into the default app.
Is it with the Nokia Apps or do you have to search for it? I have nothing in UK marketplace as yet

Its not in the Nokia apps section, you have to search for it.
Open any of the Nokia apps in the market and then just under details there is a link to see other Nokia software. Click that and you will see it listed there.
I found it by searching "Nokia Camera Extras".

It's only available for US, China and India right now, we get it in July apparently.

I don't have Tango neither but I have it installed. I live in Canada and I am with Rogers.
Quiet a lot of apps are coming from nokia, those in US should also get the zynga games apps..
Uk and other countries will have to wait until july to get them apps..

It merges like I said in the first post if you read it.
No improvements. Just features.
I used the "ACTION SHOT" feature yesterday while photographing my daughter on a swingset. There is absolutely no motion blur. Indoor photos are less blurry too. I finally have a phone camera that I can use! Superb job by Nokia (again)!

I was playing around with the Action Shot setting too. Seems like that should be the default setting for when you use the camera button on a locked phone. So much faster to get a decent pic with it.

camera extras, nokia play to, and nokia climate mission game was just made available to me today. the climate mission game seems to be fun. camera extras is a nice add on to the stock camera app. you guys should also check out turbo camera and photosynth, both or great apps

For those who can not find it... Try the following:
If you have wpcentral application installed, search for any "camera extra" subject, scroll right and you'll have a download option.
if you don't
Install AAWP free app and do the same.
or
Try browsing to WP7 Connect... again, search for a recent "Nokia camera extra" subject. there should be a "download for windows phone" link.

I honestly don't know. It's definitely an HTC made app, but it doesn't appear under HTC Apps in the the Marketplace, it appears in the general apps section.
not finding this in marketplace, still can only find the basic youtube app and the one by lazyworm.

Not yet. My HD7 is resting peacefully while my HD2 gets to use the sim card. Once I've had my fill of HD2 goodness, I will boot up the crown jewel for a luxury ride and install the app.

No prob. I just went into Apps then sideswiped to new and it was about 10 apps down, under Holy Bible. Correction, 1 app after that, between GPS4Me and Soniccasting.

Much higher quality video over data and wifi and it shows the lighter color download bar as well so you know if its gonna buffer.

Not to mention being able to touch the point in video you want to see.
The decision to let hardware makers customise only by individual apps is starting to pay off. The fact that HTC are the only ones to have a native YouTube app (which imo is a stupid thing to leave out of the OS, but only cause I use YouTube a lot) is making me strongly lean towards one of their devices over samsung

The thing is, all WP7 phones can use HTC apps. The Hub is available not only for HTC phones, but also Samsung and LG.

I didn't think that was true. Each OEM has their own apps, like htc has the only flashlight app that uses the flash of the camera.

about an hour ago i was skimming through the new apps in the marketplace and came upon an engadget app (not engadget reader). I went ahead and downloaded it. Right off the bat i could tell this was the official engadget app. Great metro ui integration, very smooth interface and offered podcast and videos integrated into the app. I was a little suspicious of the app and whether or not it was the official one, but it had an about page with all the copyright info from engadget. Right before typing this I searched once more for this app and it seems that it has been pulled from the marketplace as well as the engadget reader.
Did anyone else download this app before it was pulled?
It's unfortunate that it got pulled down before I could get it. I have the Engadget reader and it's lacking. I want an official Engadget app ASAP!
Good to hear about it being smooth with metro UI integration though.

I got it. Settings button restarts it, might be why they pulled it so it's fixed. Give it a go and see if it's the same for you.
Ok it wasn't an offical Engadget app or they would have had an artical on it. much like all the BBC apps none are offical BBC apps. the apps that Engadget has for IOS and Android are offical. from what I was told they will be having one soon but it wasn't that app.

Yeah, it is official, but it is buggy.
App restarts whenever you hit the Settings button.
I deleted to the unofficial Engadget app for the official Engadget app.
It seems the unofficial app was pulled down too

I have the Omnia 7. It was there to download at one point but disappeared.
Definitely official, I can even read and post comments from it.
Could be nicer though.

I have been trying to get this app since it was discovered on the 16th. My guess is that it was released, found to be buggy, and then pulled back. One thing about the WP7 marketplace is that Microsoft actually QA's the apps during the approval process. Android, never. Apple, yes. But it is to look for anti-apple or sexy stuff(j/k).
My buddy has been trying to get his WP7 GPS app approved for quite some time now. It keeps getting rejected for various QA and functionality requirements that keeps the WP7 ecosystem efficient and functional. So props to Microsoft for being sticklers about the quality of apps released(the purpose and types of apps release is another thing).

The ATRIX 4G lagged its way to a 9/10 (or was it 9.5?) on Engadget and I believe the Galaxy S[hit] got a pretty high score as well even though its lag and GPS issues were well-known at the point of review...
HTC recently released a new app (search for "HTC Compass" on any HTC phone's marketplace) that utilizes the magnetic compass hardware in the phone. Since there's no official managed API for it yet, this probably is using a COM dll. Has anybody tried picking the app apart to make the compass API available to homebrew devs? I've got a couple other projects right now, but I think this would be a good thing to try when somebody has the time.

me neither on my mozart , can you post link ?
I found this on my Arrive, and when I went to show my girlfriend on her HD7 it was nowhere to be found in the marketplace... I'm not sure if it has to do with the NoDo update or a carrier decision (If that's possible?). The first time I used it, it told me to wave the phone around in the air in a figure 8 pattern while remaining at least 8 feet away from magnetic interference, and then it popped up. It doesn't work super well, and isn't very smooth, but it is using the magnetic compass... A step in the right direction I suppose.
Search marketplace for 'compass' because it is not listed under HTC apps yet

It may not be available everywhere, but on a HTC HD7, T-Mobile USA, steps to get the app were as follows:
Open Marketplace
Hit the hardware Search button
Type "htc compass" (without quotes)
Hit the -> button
Select the only app in the results
Install it.
No "HTC Marketplace" or Zune links required. This is a standard, un-modified HD7.

use the send button in th marketplace to send yourself an email with the zunelink
i was able to download usa only apps by hitting the zune link

Thanks for posting this, didn't realise HTC had released a new app! Found it by searching for HTC in the Marketplace on my HD7 (pre NoDo)
It seems to work well. Wish there was an option to disable the map underneath altogether, and therefore maybe get slightly smoother animation of the compass itself.
Speaking of, when are MS supposed to officially open this piece of API to developers? Seems like it wouldn't be that difficult? Or are the different manufacturers all using different tech in their handsets?
Works on HTC Arrive. Agree one what has been said about choppyness - I don't think it has anything to do with the map beneath, I think it is just how it was coded.

Works on the Trophy, albeit I'm not sure how well it's working... it only seems within 20-30% accuracy.
Does anyone know how you can get the "compass only" view on the screen, as in the screenshots?

Attempted to DL gthe HTC Compass App from Marketplace using WebWalk's link, but their was no option to buy or install...
I DL'ed the XAP using sutt's link and sideloaded it ontomy post NODO chevron unlocked Samsung Focus...
Shockingly... it didn't work... a popup advised me,
"Sorry, this application only works on HTC phones. If you would like to use this application, please visit htc.com to find the HTC phone that's right for you."
I didn't expect it to work, but thought I'd give it a try...

Is it not in your games hub? The new version is put there for some reason. It shouldn't be removed from your phone.

Yeah it is, Thanks for that. The Tile vanished from my homescreen and it wasn't in my list of apps I assumed it had been remotely removed.

They withdrawn Shazam from the marketplace, but it stills on my phone. Shazam is now consider games. lol
Shazam was probably removed for putting thier icon in XBox Live Hub...
That's a good thing IMO. Rules are not made to be broken

How much did it cost. I mean the version that isn't Ad-Infested I stopped using Ad-Ware months ago.
Birdsong has Toast and Live Tile Notifications now. Does Tweetcaster have that?
I have just got a bargain Nokia 900 for £55, so please don't say I shouldn't have got one!

On the phone there's a Marketplace app in the app drawer (swipe left from the home screen) in the marketplace you should see Nokia Collection. That's where all the Nokia apps are.

No problem! While you can install most apps via the windowsphone.com site, OEM apps (Nokia, HTC, Etc) are not visibile there. Probably to avoid confusion.
