Do the international cases fit the USA version? - Galaxy S III Accessories

Hey guys,
I tried searching but didn't find exactly what I was looking for. For those that couldnt wait and ordered s3 international cases, when you received your sprint version of the phone, did anything change? How do they fit? How about the battery cover? Feedback please...My phone hasn't shown up yet and I'm stressing that I wasted money on these battery covers etc. Sorry if question seems dumb but have nothing else to do since my phone isnt here ha. Thanks

It was a valid question dude. For example the galaxy nexus on Verizon was thicker than its sim card brother. Happens quite often from international sim phones to cdma network phones.

Well it would be solid proof of a Verizon version here. Weve seen those shots of the 4g Lte logo on the back before but im curious as to where the Samsung logo plays in to this on the final version.

of course, they could just be copying information from the Samsung or Google site right now, which of course lists that there are 2 models.... wouldn't be the first time that a big name electronics store used the wrong description for their system lol. Just something to keep in mind.
Yeah i wouldn't be surprised if it was wrong they also fail to mention ICS or how much memory is on it so i don't know.

Nice. Thanks for the pics. Very interesting it still says "LTE or HSPA+". Still sounds like a general copy/paste list of marketing speak from Samsung given to sellers. Makes me hopeful though.

Interesting that it says 8.94mm thickness, which is the correct thickness for the HSPA+ model, but according to unconfirmed reports from some Chinese sites the thickness of the LTE model should be 9.34mm. This could mean one of two things: RadioShack actually will have two models of the Galaxy Nexus, and they happen to list the HSPA+ model thickness; or like martonikaj said, just a poor copy-paste job from marketing material.

Hi I'm going to purchase a gnez

What I am wondering is, I would like to go to Verizon to get the 4g lte and enjoy my nez to the full potential, although I think that development isn't moving along a due to lack of support or lack of gsm. If I buy a gnez for Verizon will I bee missing out on movement?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Gnex.
And lack of development?
I've seen more CDMA (Verizon) only roms than visa-versa.
And there are only a couple.
You're not going to miss anything.
Great new guys go to wirefly to get your gnez
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Did you guys ever visit elect-band.com to buy a Gnez?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
its GNex not Gnez... but I prefer calling it GN.
I have the Google Nexus GSM and I'm very happy with it. Please remember that the Nexus family is a Developers family (although any user could work with it) applying custom ROMS is very easy and can be done in a lot of ways since the phone was made to be tempered with.
The community for custom ROMS and android development is very active for the phone you are about to admire and cherish.
some note for you:
Install an app that disables the 4g when the phone sits in your pocket... some people around here noticed the batery drains very fast when you leave 4g on in your pocket!
but to be honest. I life in the Netherlands and we haven't got 4G over here... even 3G loads websites, music and movies amazingly fast. as for browsing you could use Chrome which is released for android 4.0 users.
Hop on and enjoy the ride with nexus!
Would you trust the website I mentioned to buy a almost new gnez for almost 215 dollars or does if come off like a rip off?

Huh? Wirefly has it for $79.99 if you're starting a new contract. Any other place buying it used, that's up to you to decide.
And for Christ's sake its a Galaxy Nexus, not a Galaxy Nezus.

I'll have to disagree here. I believe the difference comes down to market penetration.
GSM = World phone (anyone worldwide)
LTE = Verizon customers only.
The more phones out there, the more developers will work with that phone.

Just checked and yes... sorry.
Then my guess would be that you guys in US have 4g networks together with switserland and just a handfull of other countries. So the only roms floating around would come from these places.
I could buy an lte device in the Netherlands using ebay or so but there would be no way to go beyond 3g around here for me. And going to switserland to check my mail lightning fast would mean that i had to drive there and pay €5,- (± $7,-) for every downloaded/uploaded MB...

it should, dont see why it wouldnt /\/\

One thing I noticed is that if you cut your sim card, you don't have to pay the $36 upgrade fee for AT&T to change your active sim card. (Or at least they haven't hit me up for it yet. I ordererd my phone through amazon).
I did this, and I lost the ability to send mms, had to go get a micro sim.

Accidentally bought CDMA instead of GSM...

Yes I'm an idiot, I know. I bought it off eBay and realized too late.Question is, can I pay a lab to mod it for me or something? It's a Verizon. I heard it has a microSIM slot that's almost sealed shut but still existing. So it would probably just require reprogramming the frequencies. And I'll handle unscrewing the slot and inserting my SIM. Is this possible?
