HELP PLEASE!!!! Error 008: Open Port Error

I have just tried to update my XDA to the Special Edition ROM. When I ran the program it got to Step 4 Upgrading ROM image and tehn came back with:
Error 008: Open Port Error
Can not open a COM/USB Port. Please use Device Manager on PC to make sure that the COM/USB port is available and working properly.
Have to click on OK at which point the program just closes.
Rerun the program and it comes up with an error:
Apapt ROM
Please connect your XDA to ActiveSync
Doesn't do anything on Retry. Have to Cancel.
Cancelling brings up Step 4. Upgrading Screen and the Error 008: Open Port Error again.
I'm stuck in a loop.
The XDA won't do anything now - it is stuck on the Upgrading Screen.
HELP PLEASE!! I'm dead in the water here ....

Another Question: Fail to synchronize with the host(1)

I use the mtty.exe backup rom to sd card and restore to device, ok,no problem....
But How can I restore the nbf( download from ftp.xda-developer) file to device...
I try lnb and l command, all report error message:
Fail tosynchronize with the host(1)
Why? what means this error message?
My device is Falcon ( WM2003+CDMA2000) .
"HTC Integrated Re-Flash Utility for bootloader Version:1.19 Falcon DVT version:1.06"
i get the message on my hx4700 and i can't work out why. when i use the lnb command with the file that has been modified (.nb0) it says "this application only deal with absolutely image file"... i click ok then it fails to synchronize with host(1)???
When i try the origional (.nbf) same file size... everything fine but the hx4700 does not boot it stays on the HP booting screen, nothing happens. (it says 2.01 at the bottom)

Running DiamondCustomRUU.exe Error

Hi guys,
Recently I have found that when I try and flash my HTC Touch Diamond with a new ROM I click the DiamondCustomRUU.exe and instead of seeing the GUI interface for flashing your phone I get the following error:
'The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Clcik on OK to terminate the application.'
this is stopping me from flashing my phone.
Any ideas on what this is?
OS: Windows XP SP3
Cheers,
Ant
Try (re)installing ActiveSync 4.5 (latest),
(re)install MS VisualBasic++ 2005 and 2008 runtimes.
Or just use the Dependancy Walker and check any libraries the RUU might be linked to, and check which are the ones you're missing.
Check the link in my sig. All these dll's/tools are available in the tools pack.
Cheers,
Yup I've worked it out.
I need to re-installed .Net Frameworks as it was corrupt.

**this can now be deleted**

D855: LGFlashTool2014 (Build 03/07/2014) stops at 4% "due to an unexpected error"
I'm trying to use the LGFlashTool2014 (Build 03/07/2014) to get MM to my D855.
Each and every time it fails at 4% "Update stopped due to an error".
I am using WindowsXP via VirtualBox on a MacBook. I've read about copying some wx.dll, but I don't have the the directory C:\ProgramData\LGMOBILEAXPhone
Any help is appreciated. Using LGUP is no good either as my D855 is listed as "unknown device"...

[Q] I think I have hardbricked my nexus 7 (2013) WI-Fi model, please help!

Dear XDA members,
I really sincerely apologize for my knowledge of English. I have a problem what i want to find solution about... I was installing LineageOS 14.1 via TWRP. Becouse my stock rom crashed and bootloop happened. So, I have installled the system and wanted to install GApps and after countless tries I was getting error message 70. Then I found tutorial how to resize /system partition via TWRP. After the resize process completed I left my N7 for the hour and then I came back I saw that it is locked and it's impossible to unlock... So that means I don't have acces to bootloader, fastboot etc. and my windows 10 PC recognizises it as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM3)". Then i found software called QPST and tried recovery via Qfil tool but i got Sahara error message, here are some entries from status log
Code:
ERROR: function: sahara_rx_data:237 Unable to read packet header. Only read 0 bytes
ERROR: function: sahara_main:924 Sahara protocol error
ERROR:function:main:303 Uploading Image using Sahara protocol failed
[B]Download Fail:Sahara Fail:QSaharaServer Fail:Process fail[/B]
Before theese entries it threw some random mappings that are not understandable for me...
So here's a question, is this state recoverable? Does I have a chance to bring my N7 back to work?
