[Q] How to root?

Hello everyone I just received my device this morning and I'm completey confused as to how to root this device. I read somewhere go to http://htcdev.com/ or go to Modaco to install the recovery etc..Would anyone be so kind to tell me step by step how to root my device? Also on htcdev site, they down have listed the 1X on the drop down list. I appreciate it

That guy is me and yeah its useless although there's many signatories HTC will never listen that way. Ima remove it soon :/

although there have been [unsuccessful] attempts at a soft[ware]-unlock, the only known way(s) to unlock or s-off [gsm] one v is through a hardware solution. lg(e) tool or riff box both offer methods.

HTC won't give us S-OFF ever so forget about it. They won't even change CID if you pay em, this been asked already why not search before posting?

Ye but still I answered there and it contained the information he needed right. People are just lazy and searching information is just too hard Ofc it's easier to just post and ask

SuperCID and S-off can be obtained through various jtag methods: known lg(e) tool, riff box & medusa for gsm variant.

Is a bundle with the launcher, Browser, camera APP and maps form
the Google glass...all modded apk's

If these are the same ones found at XDA's Main Android Board, they are indeed modded apk's from Google Glasses to work with a phone. They are barely modified though, since both devices are some sort of Android device.

Can you change the title? That mod is for the HTC One. It will brick the HTC One V if you flash it..

the title is misleading though. it's saying that there is a mod for dark bootloader. but there isn't.
