How to disable screen lock? None is grayed out. - HTC One X

Dumb question or bug? The screen lock has been set. How is this disabled or turned off if "none" is grayed out under security?
*Edit*
Took a chance and erased the credential storage and got "none" and "face unlock" to show up. This looks like a bug.

As soon as you use custom certificates for coperate Wifis or some other security features it requires you to have a more secure lockscreen than just "None" or "Face unlock".
That's not a bug, but still very annyoing....

Easy way to toggle Lock Screen Security?

Does anyone know of an app, or widget that easy lets me toggle screen lock security on and off with one click, like a toggle?
The reason I ask, is that at certain times, I like having the lock screen pattern enabled, but most of the day I like to have it turned off and just the normal swype lock screen without security.
I know I can do this in the settings, but it gets annoying having to go in the settings, enable the lock pattern, and go through all that each time I want to have it enabled for a while.
Any suggestions, or apps that can enable some type of lock screen pattern, or security, but have it easily toggled on and off without having to re set it up each time I want to enable or disable it?

[Q] Double lockscreen with CM10?

I just upgraded to CM10 yesterday. In order for me to get my school email on my phone I am required to have a secure lockscreen. I set up pattern unlock, but now i have two lockscreens. When I turn on my phone I get the regular slide unlock, then it takes me to the pattern unlock screen. Is there a way to remove the slide unlock, or better yet, a way to bypass the password security policy for email?

Go to "Settings" -> "Lock screen" -> "Screen security" and uncheck "Show widgets before unlock". You will now have only the pattern unlock screen :victory:

[Q] Why can't I disable my lock screen?

I have a Galaxy Note 4 on AT&T that I purchased about a week ago. Everything worked great up until today. I have been successfully using the fingerprint lock to keep my phone locked while I'm at work. Tonight, I unlocked it and went to disable the fingerprint lock, but now the "swipe" and "none" options are greyed out and disabled with "Turned off by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage" and won't allow me to disable it. I have not been tinkering with anything and have no idea how any of that stuff could have been enabled since the phone was just sitting in my desk at work.
So, how do I get that turned off so that I can disable my lock screen when I am at home or away from work?
Thanks!
it seems like you may have enabled other security features like.. encryption which does not allow you to turn off the lock screen.. try disabling these extra protection s

And how would I do that? I'm not seeing anything enabled on my phone. I may be missing something. And again, nothing had been changed from the previous week's use. I enabled the fingerprint lock on it, put the phone in my desk, and left it there. Once I got it back out, I was no longer able to disable the lock. I can unlock the phone, I just can't turn the lock off. Hopefully I'm just missing a setting somewhere and it will be easy to fix.
SOLVED
Well, I somehow managed to figure out the solution. It apparently had something to do with the credential storage. I found the settings for that and had my phone clear the credential storage. After that, I powered my phone off and back on and it started working normally.
Now, the next question. How did some app set credentials to where my screen unlock couldn't be turned off?

Lockscreen Curiousity

I have recently installed Marshmallow to my G3 and have noticed that on the lockscreen when using the PIN lock, there is an ugly grey box around the numbers. Is this the same for other people?
The other thing is I have noticed the "NONE" and "SWIPE" for the lockscreen are greyed out. I have cleared the Credentials within Security > Certificate Management screen and my phone is not encrypted at all. Has anyone got any ideas of how to resolve this?
Disable Pin Lock and the other options should then be available.

Hmm, I tried that and fail to see what I have missed.
Close to doing a factory reset now which is not ideal.

Searching for Screen Lock to None after update?

I have been searching to set screen lock to "None" after update to RMX2081PU_11.A.39 from RMX2081PU_11.A.33 and could not find under Settings. It seems to have been implemented differently under Developer Options under Additional Settings to "Do not use Lock Screen" with enable/disable option. However if anyone opts for any type of password setting with or without FP or FU this option is automatically disabled if it was enabled.
Or the "None" setting has been removed from user settings intentionally.
