Not me. Looks like spam. I would not reply to it. My wife replied stop to one of those and then started getting $10-$20 charges on the bill every month.
I got a random message like that a while back. I contacted Sprint and gave them the number and they put a block on that number so I wont see that crap coming again. Good luck!

Also look up text message phishing. By responding, you verify you have an active mobile account. Just like they do with email.

Login to your Sprint account, go to my preferences page and block the number. I have a growing list of blocked numbers, both text and voice, from these spamming companies.
I get them every once and a while. I even got one before that was sent to me that was about a job I just got, but it was clearly spam. Because the employer didn't even have my phone number. Nor did I post anywhere online about getting the job.
I just ignore them though.

If you text "block ###-###-####" to 9999, Sprint will automatically block it for you & send you confirmation via text. Worked for me so far with a couple of spam texts.

So i learned something new today.
If you text
Block followed by the phone number to 9999
Sprint will block all texts from that number for you.

Text "Help all" to 9999 to display all the.block options.
This can also be done through the sprint website through your account preferences. You can also block up to 100 people from calling you.
Good to know.
This is awesome news. I just started receiving this crap about junk cars.
An app from the market called "airpush detector" works great for identifying what apps are spamming you.
Has no name and left behind symbols. I checked the details of the message by holding on the message and the guy had no number! I scawed

i got one of those earlier too. crazy....
I think it has something to do with voicemail notifications but I'm not exactly sure.
It's weird. I received a familiar text earlier today. I ignored it though. Too lazy to investigate.
Got the EXACT same thing today too. WTF?

Maybe it means we are all now eligible for the Official ICS update? QUICK, EVERYONE GO CHECK!
I got a text earlier at 11:01 MST that said "This is a test of the commercial mobile alert system. This is only a test." I am assuming that you are 2 time zones east of Utah so that is probably what it is.
No reason to be scared!!!!!!!!!!
EDIT: I tried to upload a screnshot of mine but it says wrong file extension.
I got the exact text to around 11am today. Glad to know I wasn't the only one. I'm not even on sprint..

Couple of you are on CM9. How many others are on CM9. I ask because I have not received anything like this and I am on AOSPmod.
So I wonder if it is a CM9 thing....
i got it on AOKP
I am stock right now.
It's a sign. I got it also.

here you go. I looked up some other info and the gibberish some of you seen is because AOSP based roms do not have the WEA coding in them. The coding is inserted by carriers. The WEA coding will force your phone to perform the annoying screatching noise you hear on the radio and TV regardless of the volume and ringtone settings. Also there is a new version of the WEA coding that will not allow you to turn off your phones screen till the message is read.

So I currently have a Galaxy Nexus, of which my brother wants to take off of my hands. I'm not due for an upgrade, but on his account, he is. We're considering taking advantage of using his upgrade on the S3 fro $49.99 over the next couple of days, but want to activate it on my account when it arrives. They're completely separate accounts. Is this possible?
I have done this before with two lines on my account. Sprint did the upgrade for me but made me active the phone on the line that was due the upgrade and then they did an ESN swap after that. I am not sure if you can use the upgrade for another line and directly activate the new phone on a different line.
You have to activate it on his then do an esn swap afterwards you will need a 3rd phone to activate on one line during the swap since the accounts aren't linked. You can't leave an account without an active esn even for a few minutes.

If you do the upgrade online they send you the phone by mail. This way. You can just activate it on the other line without the hassle of doing esn swaps.

It doesn't. However if there is a mail in rebate and the phone is transferred to the other line under 30 days from upgrade the rebate is lost.

Yeah definitely doesn't have to be on the eligible line first. I've done it beforet. Not sure about the rebate thing. Could be true.

Damn everytime I've ordered one I had to activate it on the line ordered on before swapping, only done it that way twice tho I usually do it instore and then swap when I get home. It has been a while since I've ordered one online tho

If its a new line then yes, you can't add a line without having an ESN on it but activation is still not required.

Yea the only 2times I've ever ordered online I added a line to get a new contract/upgrade price and when i got the phone I called to activate it on my line and then put my old one on the new line but they made me activate the new phone on the new line then just did the esn swap as soon as it was active, only took about 15 mins which was actually probably faster than activating 2 phones "manually"

Group MMS is DELAYED!!! WHY!!
I switched from an iPhone(which was fine) to a Nexus 4 and the Nexus was a disaster.
I figured the Nexus 4 was messed up so I sold it and then got the Note 2. Its T Mobile's version and unlocked.
I changed the APN settings to the LTE one and it hasnt really made a difference. AT&T stated that I'm on the correct LTE plan. I tried Go SMS Pro and it really didnt fix it
The delays are sometimes 3-5 min, sometimes 6-12 hours. Most annoying is that when I try to send a MMS, it gets stuck in the sending phase. Id need to send another MMS to push the one thats not sending. Sucks
What is going on? Is it Android? Could it be because its not an official AT&T phone(but I heard its technically the same phone). Is there something else I should try?
I give up guys. Can someone plz help?

Yeah, I did that in the beginning. I dont think there really is a solution. I guess Android hasnt perfected group MMS yet
One good way to get help is to use an informative subject line, one that succinctly describes your problem. That way, readers can quickly tell if your topic is something about which they have knowledge or interest. Caps-locked text and excessive exclamation marks tell us nothing about your topic.
How do you claim your rewards and perks?
The applications are not even preinstalled, zinio , boingo, etc.
There is not a single page or info when you activate the tablet. I have registered the tablet and haven't gotten my samsung or google play credits.
Please help?
Think someone else on here said the perks don't go live until the official release date.
I found Samsung's page about the bonus stuff, but it's pretty lacking:

Yes today is, but when he posted it wasn't. I'm still having trouble claiming my stuff. The directions said to register your device with their website and then there would be a confirmation e-mail with a promo code inside. I got an e-mail, but there was no promo code.
EDIT:
Just spoke with a samsung rep and they said all the perks haven't been released yet and he couldn't give me details on when it would be released.
I just got an email from Samsung announcing that the new Note 10.1 is here, hopefully that is another good sign for the perks sign up going live soon.
