Hi guys,
Today I installed AOKP Milestone (Last version) + Franco Kernel last version Milestone, on my GSM Galaxy Nexus.
However, as I understood, I need to flash the Gapps right after flashing AOKP without rebooting to ICS, and just after flashing AOKP + GAPPS, I can proceed with the first reboot to ICS.
Unfortunately, I already did the first reboot, without installing the Gapps, as I couldn't find anywhere Gapps.
Can I flash Gapps anyway now? And where do I find them?
I hope you can help a little.
Greetings.

I don't see why you could not... You can find the GAPPS where you found the AOKP Rom. just scroll down there and you will find it at the bottom of the post at Rootwiki.

Thanks so much. I hadn't realized that because my laptop has a very little screen and something was wrong with the scroll bar of Firefox. It just didn't show the scroll bar so I thought it ended just there where I saw the last rom.
So I installed the apps and everything, so far so good with them.
Only a little surprise, there is no stock music player? Is there any way I can install it?
And the main problem now is with my wifi... I keep on getting "Authentication problem" whereas a few hours ago on the stock Samsung rom, I never got it
Any ideas?
Thank you in advance

I guess you have the wrong password for your wifi our you have an ACL based on Mac address in the router? Probably not a phone problem.

I have checked the password like 10 times already, it's the same and good.
And no, I don't have an ACL based on Mac address... Any computer having the password can connect...
A few hours ago it worked just fine with the stock rom, this is my first flashed Rom on my Galaxy Nexus. :/ I even reflashed the rom again and Franco's Kernel... Nothing has fixed the issue.
Any other ideas? Maybe flashing new radios can help? Or another Rom?
Sorry mate, here it ends for me. I recon you know your way now with Gaps. The rest I hope someone else can help you with.

Hello everyone,
I just got a Inc2 2 a couple days ago and decided to root it. I achieved S-off using Revolutionary described here: http://androidforums.com/incredible...y-downgrade-firmware-build-6-01-605-05-a.html
Also stated near the bottom is how to stop bootloops which I had to do. After that was all said and done I went and flash Aeroevan's CM10 as found and described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1805773
Fearing that I may have skipped some things during CM10's setup, I went and reflashed the ROM, the kernal, and GApps as described above. After that everything was picture perfect with no problems. However, a couple days later i was having some issues with my Live Wallpaper to which I restarted my phone a couple of times and started to notice what looked to be some type of artifact on screen between the HTC intro and the CM10 Intro. Even after CM10 loaded i saw what looked like multiple versions of the top quarter of the UI spread across the whole screen for a moment before the lock screen came up.
Fearing that something might seriously be wrong, i tried once again to reflash CM10, however now it started to boot loop during the CM10 load screen. So I reflashed the 0312 Radio to hopefully stop the bootloops, which it did, and once again try to reflash CM10. I got the phone running but I still see those artifacts. I also wiped the phone each time before I flashed the ROM.
What i don't get is that the first time round, everything was perfectly fine, but know I'm seeing issues is it something I'm doing wrong? Is it CM10's stability? Or is my phone dying?

I am pretty sure I have seen these issues, but I have noticed no problems. I doubt your phone is breaking if it continues to boot. It may be something corrupt in one of the graphics. I wouldn't worry about it unless it stops booting.

Welcome to the sad miserable club of cm10 issues. Enjoy your stay.
CM10 is still pretty buggy. Don't worry about it.
The most stable ROMs are the gingerbread ones.
Also Aeroevan's Goo.im is

You'll find the latest (and hopefully greatest) downloads there.

I am up and running jelly bean now, and i still have my root... i had a minor issue of odin saying "pass" after flashing but my phone was stuck in boot loop untill i went into recovery mode and did a factory reset. Im not sure if that is normal or not but whatev it works great now
doing the same thing right now. i'm in germany so i'm not sure if that's what's causing the slow download speed 500Mbps link @ a convention center, but i'm at 416MB out of 617MB and very very very patiently waiting.
it's good to hear that you only ran into that small issue. i'll keep an eye out for it. Thanks!

First post here as well. I was rooted on stock, and this flashed flawlessly. Not 1 problem. Thanks!
ran the update, installed cwm and the phone works flawlessly minus one issue. gaming has become laggy. anyone else with studder or lag issues?
Aww man. It figures, I just finished flashing another rom like, about 18 hours ago. Now with finals coming up, I don't have time to do this one! Oh well, I guess I have something to do AFTER finals then, hahaha.

Is your power saving mode on? I've always found it makes so many things laggy, unfortunately. Might be enabled by default on the rom. Worth a look.
Great community here. Yesterday I was non-rooted ICS. Today I'm rooted JB with Wallet.
My phone just got 1000% better.
First of all, I appreciate all the Devs hard work bringing these Roms to us! :good:
I was running rooted UCALH9. Updated to this JB via Odin and all SEEMED good. Problems I had:
1) Play Store FC's - FIX - I went into Application Manager and removed updates for the Play Store app, which reverted it back to the default Play Store app. This fixed my problem. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT UNINSTALL!
2) Rom Manager - I would get root user authentication error when trying to Fix Permissions. Everything else in Rom Manager worked. No fix at this time.
3) Gallery - None of my pictures were showing up. This is even after clearing caches. I am convinced it's because I can't Fix Permissions, but what do I know... No fix at this time.
Any help would be appreciated!
Damn I had that same Play Store FC problem yesterday -- I wish I'd have figured that out. I ended up doing factory reset lol.
I receive same fix permission error as you, but I rebooted into recovery to do it.

You didn't happen to play with the camera at all, did you?
I can live with the Fix Permissions via CMW, so that would clear up 2 out of 3 of my problems. All I need is a fix for the Gallery problem, and I can go back to Official JB.
Thanks!
Howl long was the flash?
I'm inside Odin on flashing system.img.ext4 right now and it stays there which looks like about 20% for last 10 minutes with no forward movement.
How long do I need to wait before I consider something is wrong with flash process?
Changing cable to Samsung one did the trick if you are in the same situation.

If you are talking about flashing the root injected JB i post, yes you can flash it after upgrading and no it won't wipe anything in data, everything should be preserved for you.
Weather here sux.... Hovering slightly above 0 degrees with 80 mph winds for the last week so add on the wind chill factor and u can only imagine... And no snow yet.
So far no other issues with this rom. Seems to run perfectly. Now just waiting for someone to write a power menu options and enable stock tethering script =P

Yes, clean install;wipe data, cache, and dalvik no mods or tweaks-
The speaker is fine, I can hear them no problem. The microphone when the phone is on speaker phone does not work however. People say they can barely hear me at all and I've tried calling myself and can confirm that it sounds very low and crackly. When I reinstall a TW rom..it works flawlessly.
Does it have anything to do going from JB to Slim? When I reinstall JB rom i use the 2x wipe. I ran out of things to try so I went back to TW but would rather be on slim + zap kernal

I would try another clean install, wipe data, cache, dalvik, like three times.Just to make sure nothing is left behind and flash rom from the eL29 direct boot kernel. I have seen this issue in other roms, now that I did a little research, and it seems phone specific. I myself have never had a mic problem. I will keep looking, so keep an eye on this thread. Also, did you go to JB correctly. Using the one - click full restore....this partitions you're phone correctly. Could have nothing to do with you're problem, but wanted to ask..I think the full restore is the one you want, just grab the one that wipes you're internal memory. Yep....back-up time.

My first flash since I bought it was a one click, however, I went to other TW roms and used the 2x wipe zip since then. When I went to slim ( and even black bean ) and I used the el29 direct boot. I noticed it happens only on AOSP roms..maybe it is just my device.

When I first went from ics to JB I used a one click install FULL WIPE (GB10 I think it was at the time) version ( which is what this post tells you to do) so yes I have done this step when I went from ICS to JB. Besides, I'm sure if I didn't do it correctly then any version of JB would not work on my phone and it does
Other then using a ics modem, Is there any special step ( not already mentioned ) to go back to AOSP from JB?

Well I've been running cm11 builds for t0lte on my t0lteatt (technically t0ltecan but same thing) for months with no issues. Until the dreaded March 4th nightly dropped. There were over a hundred commits that night, and something broke compatibility with my device. It keeps getting signal, then phone force closes and signal is lost. Then it gets signal, etcetera in an eternal loop. I'm wondering what I could do about this? Could a modem fix this issue? Is there anybody else out there who has been running this ROM on a t0lteatt?
I'm only asking because my device isn't supported by CM11, so I was very happy to find I could run the international build just fine. Now what do I do for CM love??? Aaaagh! Help would be awesome guys, who knows a possible solution?

Have you tried flashing the latest drop? cm-11-20140306-NIGHTLY-t0lte.zip
Maybe stuff is unscrewed now. Nightly's are crap shoots.
Only stable releases I see are 10.X. There's a reason for that......
Have you tried any of the hybrid ROMs, like OmniROM or Dirty Unicorns. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a killer option on those.
Yes I've tried all the newer nightlies too. It is working fine for t0lte users (which makes sense, because it's made for them) which leads me to believe it's just people like me running it on a variant device who are missing out. It works as intended on the proper device, so I don't see why they would change it back. Other ROMs just don't seem as polished and I'm OCD so rough edges are a dealbreaker. Cm11 has bugs, but none that affect my personal usage so that's why it is my daily driver. Thanks for the tip tho I'm still investigating!

I also have a t0lteatt running the CM11 nightly for t0lte. I also installed the nightly that resulted in not being able to boot, to solve it I rebooted my phone manually to recovery and installed the previous days back over the top and I fixed it. Then I wait a couple days and tried the next nightly which worked. I am currently running yesterdays (030632014) without issue.
TDLR: the nightly from the 4th left me broken, none of the nightly's before that point ever broke my phone, also none since then have broken my phone.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the help, but it's still broken on my end. (Just tried the same nightly) This is getting really weird. It's happening right away, clean install. Can't get the popup to go away long enough to do anything. Any suggestions what I could try? It's making me mental!

I am not sure I understand the symptoms, are you saying that it boots up just fine but the phone keeps getting and losing signal? Or is it booting up just fine then rebooting after the phone gets and loses signal?
Welll no matter I would take a full backup of your system and then wipe it clean and install the known working 10.2, just to see if it is indeed a hardware problem. If 10.2 works then maybe take a nother backup of that you can at least swap back and forth while you work on the issue.

Hey thanks for working through this with me, I really appreciate it! What's happening is it boots just fine. But I get the error popup "com.android.phone has stopped". When I hit okay it immediately comes up again. Forever. I also just had a scary missing imei problem happen just now and spent the last couple hours getting THAT sorted out. But now I'm back on the march 1 nightly and everything is just fine. I just can't run anything newer than that and I don't get why.

Wooooooo I got today's nightly running (march 8th)!! I had a sudden urge to try a different recovery just to make sure I had tried everything. Installed philz touch, then installed CM. This time it finally worked! I wonder if it was twrp giving me problems all this time. Just so bizarre I had zero issues updating every day for months and then suddenly just couldn't get it working at all.
In any case it seems good for now. Thanks for all the advice!

Excellent.
Was it TWRP 2.6.3.1 ?? I think that's the one that works with newer ROM builds. At least for me.....
Or ....... Was it the March 8th build ...... Did you flash that in TWRP ?
Also, keep a copy of each on your phone. If one doesn't work just flash the other, then you can reboot to recovery to the other one.

That was going to be my next question. I have heard lots of reports of people running CM11 and having problems with TWRP, I use CWM and it has always been rock solid.
Glad your back up and running, enjoy the crack-flashing!

It was 2.6.3.1 and I even tried the newer 2.6.3.7 for t0lte and it didn't work. But all good with cwm. There must have been some tiny change that twrp wasn't flashing properly. Whatever it was, just glad to have that behind me!
